I could tell that she was nervous. She was fumbling with her hands and she was biting her lip while her gaze was outside the window. I didn’t think it was actually possible to see the ice queen as nervous as this but here she was, showing me that it was indeed possible. I couldn’t even tease her about it because I knew she was seriously nervous. I already told her she shouldn’t be though.
I held her hand and linked our fingers. She finally turned to me. I could see the storm in her eyes. I could see the anxiety and tension in her wide blue eyes. But I could also see the faint glimpse of determination. I gave her an encouraging smile to ease her nerves.
