Chapter V

Mina's POV

Time passed by so quickly, it was already 9:00 o'clock in the evening when I found myself in front of Sir Yohan's Office. My hands are shivering and sweat starts to fall down as I nervously knock on the door. When I entered, I saw him pacing back and forth while talking to someone on his phone. I don't wanna bother him so I waited for him to be finished but suddenly he noticed me, he quickly put down his phone and walked back to his swivel chair.

"Ms. Gonzalez, come and sit here." he said while pointing at the chair in front of his desk. I simply nodded and sat down, I couldn't help but stare at him.

Sir Yohan has an attractive and handsome face, he has chocolate brown eyes, a pointed nose and kissable lips that everyone is dreaming to achieve. He's so popular that everywhere he goes, there will always be girls that flirt with him, kahit mga katrabaho ko ay nagtitilian ng patago. Well, I can't blame them because he's really handsome.

"Ms. Gonzalez!!! Come to your senses will you?!!" he shouted at my face, that's when I came back to reality and got embarrassed. What am I doing, now he's gonna fire me for real. I hope my Mom doesn't outcast me!

"I-im sorry sir," I said with a stuttering voice while looking down out of embarrassment. Napa buntong hininga na lamang siya at tumayo, sinundan ko ng tingin ang paglapit niya at bahagyang nagulat nang lumuhod ito sa harapan ko. He held my left hand and shortly analyzed my wound.

Napa aray ako ng kaunti dahil nadiinan niya yung sugat ko. "I'm sorry I arrived late, nasugat ka tuloy," he said with a gentle voice while looking at me. I can clearly see worry in his eyes as he gently holds my hand.

"It's okay sir, hindi niyo naman po kasalanan yung nangyare, ako po itong hindi inaayos ang trabaho," sabi ko. Sir Yohan stood up and grabbed the first aid kit that was on his desk and started to treat my wound.

While treating my wound, I couldn't help but stare at him. I simply can't resist his presence, it's as if he's dragging me deep into his soul.

"I'll melt if you keep staring at me like that." he said while he turned his sight at me and winked.

I look away with embarrassment, "Sir, are you going to fire me?" diretso kong tanong sa kanya habang iniiwasan ang eye contact.

He held both of my hands and looked at me, "No I'm not, why would I? Besides it's not your fault okay? So rest easy and by the way does it still hurt?" he asked while currently checking my wounds.

"Hindi na po, thank you po Sir Yohan." sabi ko sabay yuko ng kaunti bilang paggalang sa kanya. Ayan hindi na tuloy ako nakatanggi bakit kasi ganiyan ka tumingin sir ehh..

"No need to be formal when it's only the two of us, just call me Yohan okay?" he winked and kissed the back of my hands. Does he know how divine he is? I simply can't resist the alluring looks of him every time.

"B-but sir-" he leans in and cuts me off using his finger, "Shh, I don't wanna hear any complaints, it's fine." he stood up and sat back at his swivel chair.

Hindi ko na alam kung may gusto ba sakin si sir o ugali niya lang ba talaga yan, apaka hilig kasi magbigay ng mixed signals eh. Mas lalo lang tuloy ako na i-inlove sa kanya.

"Sige na next time be careful okay?" he said while putting back the first aid kit, I don't know why but I feel something strange about me and I don't like what I'm starting to feel. I somehow...feel butterflies in my stomach, no this isn't right, I can't fall for him.

Hindi pwede Mina, he doesn't like you and besides he is already pursuing someone so stop, masasaktan ka lang.

With that thought, tumalikod na ako at nagpunta sa pinto. I suddenly stopped and felt like I couldn't move, why am I being like this?

I shook my head and once again, I turned around to have a look at him. A gentle smile formed on my lips as I saw Yohan smiling while talking to that 'woman', yes, the one and only woman he loves.

Pinihit ko ang seradura ng pintuan na may kirot sa puso at nagpunta sa Staff Room para mag ayos ng gamit at maka uwi na.

Napabuntong hininga na lang ako habang nililigpit ang mga gamit ko, I headed straight at the door after fixing myself.

Papalabas na ako ng front door nitong restaurant ng humarang si Sir Yohan. I thought I was hallucinating and kept forcing myself out, kaso pilit niyang hinaharangan ang daanan.

"Going home already? Hatid na kita," saad niya habang nakangiti. That smile, that is the most beautiful smile that no material thing in the world can match. Nakakalungkot lang dahil hindi ako ang dahilan ng pag ngiti mo.

I smiled awkwardly and answered, "Hindi na kailangan sir, alam ko naman na busy kang tao at tsaka may masasakyan pa naman po akong bus thank you na lang po sa offer." I quickly walked out however, I was shocked when he suddenly grabbed my arm.

"No..wait! It's dangerous na so please let me take you home." he said while staring at me, please don't look at me like that, you're making it too hard for me to resist. Sasagot na sana ako nang may babaeng lumapit sa harapan namin.

"Han! It's so nice to see you again!" Sir Yohan suddenly let go of my arm and kissed the woman in front of me, he didn't even care if I was here or not, It's as if...I'm invisible.

"Oh who is...she?" the girl asked with a confused look on her face while pointing her finger at me.

"Don't worry, she's just one of my employees." Yohan said habang hinahawi ang ilang hibla ng buhok nung babae. Once again, they kissed each other.

'One of my employees'? I knew it, bakit pa ba kasi ako umaasa. I know, kahit kailan hindi ako magkakaroon ng chance. Why of all people ikaw pa yung nagustuhan ko?

It hurts, ang sakit makita yung taong gusto mo na masaya kasama ng iba. I know, he doesn't like me back but I just can't deny my feelings for him and I don't know why.

They look so sweet together, maybe it's better if I won't bother them. I looked down and left them behind, hindi na ako nagpahalata, pero ano bang saysay kung mahalata nila akong umalis? Wala naman silang pake diba. Matapos ko makalayo sa kanila ay tumingin muna ako kay Sir Yohan, that's when I realized that he's also staring at me. Hindi ko na lang ito pinansin at nagmamadaling naglakad papuntang bus stop, habang naglalakad hindi mawala sa isip ko ang nangyare.

From the beautiful moonlight that shines in the dark of the night it suddenly started to rain heavily, unfortunately I got soaked from cold water so I need to stop for a while to at least dry myself a bit. After a while of waiting, finally nakasakay na ako ng bus, I plugged in my earpiece and started to feel the rhythm of my favorite song entitled 'Hanggang sa huli' , dumungaw ako sa bintana habang naghihintay na makauwe.

I can't believe so much happened today, I'm so tired and exhausted. Gusto ko maligo kaso hindi papayag si Mama, hays kahit tulog lang okay na. I miss my bed already, I really need a rest pakiramdam ko magkaka trangkaso ako. I got home after an hour, dumeretso na ako agad sa room ko at nag ayos na para comfortable sa pagtulog.

Next Morning

I got woken up by the sun rays that touched my face from the window, bumangon ako ngunit napahawak rin bigla sa sintido ko nang biglang kumirot ang ulo ko. Kahit halatang babagsak ay pinilit ko pa rin bumaba para kumain, dumeretso ako sa dining table at umupo.

"Oh bakit bumangon kana?" Sinalat ni Mama ang leeg ko.

"May lagnat kapa oh, wag mo sabihing papasok ka?" saad ni Mama habang nilalagyan ng kanin at ulam ang plato ko.

Pagkatapos magsandok ay nagsimula na kaming kumain. Habang kumakain ay nagsalita si Mama, "Huwag ka muna pumasok baka mabinat ka, ang taas pa naman ng lagnat mo," sabi ni Mama.

"Opo ma." Hindi na lamang ako tumutol kay Mama at baka bulyawan pa ako ng malala. After breakfast I went straight back to my room and lay down for some rest.
