Chapter VI

5 DAYS LATER. Yohan's POV

It's been 5 days since Mina didn't go to work, I wondered what she's been doing. She's not even attending school.

I heard the other day that she got sick so I visited her however, her mom just pushed me away and said she's not there. Did I do something wrong? Is it because of what happened the other day...

So many questions are on my mind and I'm really worried about her. I want to see her so badly, but I can't.

Naputol ang pagmumuni-muni ko nang may yumakap sa'kin mula sa likod, I turned my back to see who it was and it was Chiéla...

Chiéla Elizabèth Zarragosa, a half French/half Filipina, she's my fiance. Actually it is my parents who agreed about that marriage, I don't want her to be my wife.

I quickly put away her hands, I don't know what is happening to me but...I'm slowly losing my interest in her.

"Hi baby!! What are you doing here? Are you waiting for me?? You're so sweet!" she said and attempted to cling on me again but I backed up.

Wala ako sa mood para kausapin siya ngayon, I just don't want to see her face.

"Don't get me wrong Chié, I just don't have a choice but to pick you up." nauna na ako maglakad nang hindi siya hinihintay.

I'm sure she can walk by herself, ang laki niya na para mag inarte.

"Yohan! wait up! I can't walk faster can't you see I'm wearing heels." she said while running towards me. I rolled my eyes and stopped, after a while I started walking fast again.

However, the same thing happened again, she continued complaining until I burst out.

"Chié can you stop complaining?! If you can't walk faster then remove your heels!" I shouted and ran towards my car.

Chiéla removed it and ran towards me, she pulled my hand while looking at me angrily.

"What? you're gonna complain again?" I said furiously.

"Why are you being like that? Nung isang araw ka pa ganyan, is something wrong? hindi naman tayo nag away ah? or don't tell me yung employee mo nanaman yan." she complained while holding my hand tight.

"Ano naman ang kinalaman niya dito? Don't involve anyone here just because of your nonsense jealousy." I turned around but she pulled me again.

"F*ck Chiéla!! Just go inside the car!!" Una akong sumakay sa kotse nang pabalag, she also went inside while looking furious.

I just ignored her and started the engine.

We were in silence when she suddenly talked, " So it's really her..."

"Ano naman sayo??" I said sarcastically while I drove off to her house.

"Answer me, do you like her?" she asked.

For a moment, I couldn't find any words to say. I haven't thought about that, do I really like her? is that why I'm acting this way?

One thing is for sure....I don't know. I really don't know.

"Tumahimik ka? So tama nga ako? You like her..that's why you're acting strange." She said while staring at me.

"Don't get me wrong, employee ko lang siya...nothing more, nothing less." I was focused on driving so I can't see what her reaction is.

Once again we were swallowed by silence until we reached her house.

"Peu importe combien de fois tu le nie, je sais que tu l'aimes déjà." She said, she was already getting out when I spoke.

"I'm telling you again, I don't like her and if you don't believe me then that's not my problem."

She shut my car door so loud and walked away. I stayed for a few minutes while thinking, kahit ako naguguluhan na rin. First, Mina doesn't want to meet me, ngayon naman hindi ko alam kung gusto ko siya o hindi.

I need to go to the bar, I need to calm myself down. Bukas ko na iisipin 'yun. Finally, I drove away to Xilo bar and called my friends. I will just enjoy this for now. After a few minutes, I arrived and headed straight to the private room I reserved and ordered drinks. I sat down on a couch and called my friend.

"Hey, Adrien are you free tonight?" I asked while drinking a glass of whiskey.

He answered, "Maybe, why? Don't tell me nasa Xilo ka ulit?"

He seems busy, if either of my friends doesn't want to come then I'll just drink by myself. I sighed and replied, "If you're busy I'll just ask Theo."

"Hey, hey, hey! wait I'll go there okay? I'll bring Theo with me." Nagmamadali niya akong binabaan na ikinagulat ko naman, masyado siyang excited kasi maraming girls sa baba.

Naghintay na lamang ako sa kanila habang pinagpatuloy ang pag inom, after a while of waiting they arrived with a bunch of girls as usual.

"Hey, bro!" Adrien greeted me with a fist bump while Theo directly sat on the other couch and poured a glass of whiskey.

Theo looks at me directly and asks, "So...what's your problem again? nag away nanaman ba kayo ni Chiéla?" eugh, this guy...he knows me too well.

Well, hindi ko naman maitatangi pa sa kanila 'yon, they know that my relationship with Chiela is already in the brink of collapse if I would say. I took a sip of my whiskey, I sighed and hesitated for a while before answering.

"Kinda, I...I got furious bro I don't know what's going on in me..." I drank a whole glass of whiskey, as it slowly streamed down my throat Mina came out of my mind.

Lately, puro si Mina na lang ang nasa isip ko. I can't focus on work, even in my studies...

Adrien answered, "Hulaan ko, si Ms. Employee na naman nasa isip mo right? bro hindi maganda 'yan, you already have Chiéla pag nagtagal pa 'yan ikaw din ang mahihirapan." Adrien drank a glass of tequila and turned to the girls beside him to flirt.

"Adrien is right Yohan, hindi mo pwedeng pagsabayin ang dalawang babae dahil palaging magkakaroon ng competition between them. You should be careful with your decision 'cause it might result in consequences you'll regret later." Theo said.

Theo is right, I don't even know what got into me...

"Bro..actually I am so confused right now, hindi ko alam kung ano ba talaga yung nararamdaman ko kay Mina," saad ko habang marahang humihigpit ang hawak sa baso.

I leaned back at the couch, "There's so much question running into my mind right now and it is making me go crazy...I don't know what to do bro." dagdag ko pa, napabuntong hininga na lamang si Theo habang napapailing.

Hindi ko naman siya masisisi eh, I'm in a confusing situation right now that I can't solve. Suddenly Adrien stood up and went on my side, "Pre, come on don't tell me you've really fallen in love with that girl! Akala ko ba 'sister' ang turing mo sa kanya? HAHAHAHA." Adrien laughed while pouring some drinks on his glass before returning back on the side of the girls.

Theo sighed and complained, "Seriously Adrien?? Nakuha mo pa talagang tumawa sa ganitong sitwasiyon?" Tinapik ko na lamang ang balikat ni Theo upang pakalmahin ito.

"Kalma lang pre, parang mas galit kapa sa'kin eh!" saad ko naman dito. Hindi niya napigilang mapailing sabay inom ng tequila, these two...they tend to fight on things, even for useless reasons.

"You two, you should stop fighting for useless reasons...para kayong hindi magpinsan eh." dagdag ko pa.

Sumabat naman si Adrien, "Huwag ako ang pagsabihan mo Yohan, 'yang si Theo ang makitid ang utak. Hindi alam ang pinagkaiba ng pagbibiro sa pagiging seryoso."

Theo then complained, "What?! Ngayon ako nanaman ang may kasalanan? Ikaw nga 'tong puro babae ang inaatupag eh! You can't even do your job properly." they continued to fight until the girls complained.

Humingi na lang ako ng tawad at pinaalis na sila, nang lingonin ko sila hindi pa rin sila tapos mag bangayan. Hindi ko na napigilang bumuntong hininga. Seriously?? Sa halip na I comfort ako nag away na lang sila, I stood there after guiding the girls out and watching the two brats hanggang sa hindi na ako nakapag pigil. Saktong may dalawang knife sa table kaya kinuha ko ito at binigay sa kanilang dalawa na ikinagulat nila.

"Ano ba naman kayong dalawa?! Pinapunta ko kayo dito para I-comfort ako! oh ayan kutsilyo tig isa kayo ayaw niyong tumigil eh!" reklamo ko. Umupo na lamang ako at tumunga ng tequila ng maka ilang ulit habang ang dalawa ay nanatiling tahimik.

"Oh tumahimik kayo??" sabat ko pa, pareho naman nilang ibinaba ang mga hawak nilang kutsilyo.

Hindi kasi magkasundo eh, dagdag problema talaga 'tong dalawa na 'to.

"Pre 'yang noo mo saliwa, nakakunot eh," saad ni Adrien. Aba't nagawa pa ng mokong na 'to mag biro!

I stood up and grabbed Adrien's polo as I stared at him, "Seriously?? Adrien puro biro na lang ba alam mo?? Pinapunta ko kayo dito para damayan ako pero anong ginawa niyo? Nagbangayan lang kayo tas ikaw puro kalokohan at babae lang nasa isip mo! Pwede bang magseryoso ka naman huh?!!" reklamo ko.

Theo weaned us , I let go of Adrien's polo and punched the table before walking out of anger. Bago maka layo, dinig ko pa ang pagtawag nilang dalawa sa'kin. Pano ba naman kasing hindi ako maiinis eh advice at karamay ang kailangan ko tapos ginawa nilang dalawa puro away.

Nang makalabas ako, nagkalad ako patungong parking lot. I didn't know that they were both following me until I reached my car, when I turned around and saw them chasing their breaths.

"Why did you follow me??" I asked.

Theo stood still and looked at me, "Pre, alam kong may pinagdadaanan ka pero hindi naman yata tama yung ginawa mo kanina..."

"Yohan, I know I'm wrong earlier and I'm sorry for that, pero yung bigla ka na lang magalit sa amin ni Theo especially on me just because of that?? Napaka liit na reason nun Yohan para magalit ka. Kaibigan mo kami pre, hindi mo kami kaaway!" Adrien scolded me.

"Maliit? Pre since then hindi niyo naman sineryoso ung mga problema ko kapag nag o-open up ako sa inyo eh! Kaibigan ko ba talaga kayo? parang kayo pa yung nag d-down sa'kin....akala ko ba brothers?? Eh sa totoo lang I always feel being left out whenever we three are hanging out together." I said and was about to go inside my car when Theo spoke.

"Yohan...I'm sorry, I'm sorry kung pakiramdam mo you're being left out, I'm sorry, hindi sa hindi ka namin sineseryoso...pre kilala mo 'tong si Adrien you know that he's really like that since then..." Theo sighed.

Lumapit naman si Adrien sa akin, "Pre, I'm sorry okay...I understand your situation, I truly am, earlier I just wanted to at least cheer you up by making you laugh but...I guess I failed miserably and I'm sorry for that." I sighed and looked down, hindi ko alam kung bakit ako biglang nagalit kanina...

I remained standing there while looking down when Theo came closer and gave me a hug, a hug of a brother who would do anything to support his little brother. I hugged him back, "I....I'm sorry, I didn't mean to get upset...sobra lang akong naguguluhan and hindi ko alam kung anong gagawin ko kaya napuno ako."



Adrien also came closer and tapped my shoulder, "Okay, okay enough of that brotherly love let's go back." Adrien said and went back in first. Sumunod naman kaming dalawa ni Theo sa loob, I ordered more drinks before walking straight into our reserved room.
