{Chapter 5}

Shan's POV.

Andito ako ngayon sa bahay since my mother called me and said it's an emergency.

"Ma! Where are you?" I shouted trying to find her.

"Shan! I'm here!" She shouted back.

I run into the kitchen so her. My eyes widened as I saw her sitting with a painful look.

"Are you okay, Ma?" I asked as I tried to help her by pushing the steel that fell on her ankle. "I'll call ambulance, Ma wait here okay?"

I quickly run to my bedroom and use the telephone and call an ambulance.

"Hello, How can I help you?" the other line said.

"Send help immediately here. My mother break her ankle and she can't stand up" I said frantically.

"Okay, Sir. We're coming right away" The other line said before ending the call.

I waited an hour as I tried to calm my mother so the pain will not get worse and told her not to move so much or the pain will get worsen.

Finally, after what feel like an eternity the ambulance came and carry my mother in the stretcher and put her inside the ambulance car.

"Could I come?" I asked as the medics nods.

I come inside and sat down as I hold my mother's hand telling her that everything will be alright.

I texted Jc that I would not go into my next class since my mother has to go to the hospital.

After an hour we're finally here at the hospital. Now I'm waiting outside the hospital bedroom because I'm waiting for the doctor response.

after what feels like an eternity the doctor came out of the room and look at me before speaking.

"Your mother had a bad sprain on her ankle and it seems like that steel fell on her ankle very hard"

"When can she go out of the hospital?" I asked.

"We don't know but she has to stay here for medical attention and research on her sprained ankle" The doctor said "If you'll excuse me I have more patient to take care"

I nod before speaking "Thank you, Doc" I go to my mother's hospital bedroom and sat on the chair beside the bed as I hold her hand.

"You'll be alright, Mother" I said as I look at her.

Tanya's POV.

I'm watching Keisha as she eats when I remember what shell tell me about Keisha's traumatic experience. How could a bubbly and Joyful person experience that biggest trauma and just past it?

While I'm lost in thoughts i heard someone calling my name and when I look at it. it's just Keisha.

"Tanya, Are you listening?" She said.

"Oh yeah?" I said.

"Your clearly not listening on what I'm saying, Tanya." She said with a frown look.

"Look I'm sorry it's just I'm thinking about something" I said in apologetic tone.

"Like what?" She said.

how am I gonna tell her that I'm thinking about her traumatic experience?

"It's about yo—" I got cut off by someone and when I look up it's just Catherine.

"How's your period, Keisha?" Cath asked as she look at Keisha who's busy eating chocolates and chips.

"I'm fine.. for now" Keisha said as she eats.

Cath shook her head as she sat besides me and whispered something.

"I'm glad that I came at the right time before you said at Keisha that your thinking about her traumatic experience"

"Yeah I'm glad too" I whispered back.

"Want some?" Keisha said as both of me and Cath look at her holding a chips and chocolates.

"Sure why not?" Cath said before taking one of the bag of chips and gave it to me.

I laughed a little as I eat.

"How's shell, Cath?" Keisha asked as she ate.

"She's doing well so I think you should rest na din. apparently she had nose bleed because of high heat index" Cath explains.

"No need na" Keisha said.

"You sure?" Cath asked.

"Yes of course. Easy no need to worry about me. I'm doing well right now." Keisha said as she chuckled.

"Just making sure, Keisha" Cath said.

"Yes I know" Keisha said.

While me and my friends were having a conversation, my phone started ringing making us to stop talking.

"Why is auntie calling me?" I asked making the two looked at me confused.

"Answer it, Tanya. Maybe it's important" Cath said.

I nodded as I answer the call.

"Tita Natalia, ano po iyon?" I said.

"Tanya, Anak ano kasi" My tita said as if like she's not sure.

"Ano po yon, Tita Natalia? Hindi ko po kayo maintindihan" I said.

"Magtatransfer kasi yung anak ko dyan, Tanya since naghahanap din ng school sila tas nirecommend ng Mama mo yung school niyo kaya dyan na sila muna mag aaral. Bukas na ang pagpunta nila sa school niyo kaya kung maaring samahan mo muna sila" Tita Natalia Explains.

"Sila Sophia at Si Kuya Killian puba?" I asked.

"Oo nak, Si Sophia Ka-edad mo diba?" She said.

"Opo, same age po kami ni Sophia" I said.

"Maraming salamat, Nak" She said.

"Ako na pong bahala sakanila, sige na ho baka may gagawin na po kayo" I said before hanging up the call.

"So mag aaral na pala dito sila Soph at Kuya Kill?" Cath asked.

"Yes they are, Mommy recommend our school daw nung naghahanap pa ng school sila Tita Natalia. Pupunta na raw sila dito bukas kaya maghanda lang ako" I said before saying my goodbye to them.
