K’s POV
“Here.” Jake said as he put the bowl of vanilla ice cream in front of me.
“Thank you.” I said to him as he sat beside me again.
“Why are your cousins here earlier?” he asked.
Umiling ako. “Nothing.” I forced a smile to him.
“Kara.” Banta niya.
I sighed. “You like that girl, too?” I asked.
Mabilis naman siyang umiling. “No. Why were your cousins here?” he asked again.
“They asked if we’re already okay.” I said as I eat my ice cream.
“And what did you say?” he asked, staring at me as I eat.
I looked back at him with my dagger looks. “Stop staring.” I said. “I told them I don’t know yet.”
“You don’t know?” He scoffed. “Akala ko okay na tayo kanina?” tanong pa niya.
