Chapter 16: Competition (4)

[[NEXT BATTLE: TORA VS. PRINCE AUSTINE!!]]

As people applaud can be heard inside the waiting area, Tora's body shivers.

'Will I be able to do this?' In the mind of Tora while entering the field.

He is now facing one of the Royalties. The advantage of living in here and experiencing all kinds of battle exceeds his capabilities, but still knowing this, he did not back down.

"I see, you're friends with that girl." Prince Austine lips curled up and Tora clench his fist.

"You will die today."

[[Let the battle begin!!!]]

'I can only do two things for now... or three.'

'My limit to using my teleportation is five and exceeding it will leave a fatal injuries in my body.'

'And the only thing I can do for time manipulation is slowing the movement of my enemy.'

'And the last one is...' Tora clicked his tongue while thinking about what he can do.

"That boy will really become stronger if he can finally use all of the techniques in his power." Tora's friends simultaneously look at J.C. and they all agreed.

'Still for now, he just started his training not too long ago.' Suzuki thought as she turn her gaze towards Tora who's fighting in the field.

Blue flames caught Tora and wrapped his entire body. Blood flowed in his nose and he coughed up blood.

"Are you sure you have abilities? Or are you just a normal human?" Prince Austine mercilessly unleash his power towards Tora.

"That ugly bastard trying to hurt my maknae...!" Shane angrily shouted in the rear.

[A/N: The work maknae (or 막내) is Korean and refers to the youngest child. If you are the youngest of the group of people you are with, you are considered the maknae. (From Google.)]

'When did he become his maknae?' In the mind of Dane.

'But I'm with him calling that bastard ugly.' Dane continued.

"But well, I don't plan to let you all live." Prince Austine now unleash his final blow but then Tora vanished in his sight.

"What the h*ll?!" Prince Austine started to look around and he stopped where Tora is. Prince Austine lips curled up.

"I see, Teleportation."

"But too bad, I'm your opponent." He started to run towards Tora.

"Yes, Teleportation and..."

"Time Control!" The movement of Prince Austine began to slow. He then stop.

Prince Austine couldn't help himself but to laugh. After a seconds passed, he finally stop laughing.

"To think a mere Teleportation and Time manipulation can defeat me?"

"You're unlucky." Prince Austine started to unleash his final blow. Blue fire gathered on top of them and it became bigger and bigger.

"What the...!"

The entire arena is now as hot as hell and the bench started to melt. Some watchers use their power to control the temperature around them.

'Is this even allowed?' Suzuki frowned.

"Tora run away!" Kian shouted as he began to panic.

Tora just clicked his tongue and when the gigantic blue fire ball started to move, Tora focused his aim to the enemy infront of him.

'The third one is...'

"Time Rewind!"

The gigantic blue fire ball now beat his entire body but it slowly disappeared.

"TORA!!!"

Tora is now lying on the ground in the verge of death.

The cheer of the people can be heard next.

'What the h*ll? Time Rewind, what is that?' In Prince Austine mind.

He started to walk but when he is finally out of the watcher's sight, blood began to flow in his nose and mouth and he stumble. His sight became blurry and he hurriedly reach the wall to support him.

"What's this ugly bastard doing now?" Shane complained while running towards Tora who is now in the floating stretcher.

Along with "flop", Tora's friends switch their gaze towards the person who is now lying on the ground.

"Let's just not mind him." Suzuki said while shifting her gaze back to Tora and the rest of them agree.

They were about to leave but Tora suddenly held the hand of Suzuki.

"Save... him too." Suzuki couldn't believe what she heard but she started to swallow her pride.

"You guys go first."

"Are you okay all by yourself?" Kian asked worriedly and she nodded.

After they were no longer out of her sight, she started to walk towards the person lying on the ground.

She lifted her foot backwards and kicked him.

"Ough...!"

"Hey, you alive?"

'This girl couldn't even dare to look me properly and now is trying to take this advantage.' In Princes Austine mind while his energy dropped nonstop.

He flinched when his enemy started to piggyback him.

'Wow, he's not so heavy.' In Suzuki's mind.

'What kind of strength does this woman possessed?' In Prince Austine's mind.

"I know you're awake..." Prince Austine couldn't hear her because he now totally lost his concious.

"And now you're not."

'I hope he's not going to kill me when he wakes up.'

'I want to go to Tora now.'

"You dare...!" Suzuki flinched when she heard a voice coming from her side.

"A measly human tries to stain the body of Prince Austine!"

Suzuki turned her body towards the person talking. Two female elves and a blue skinned female appeared infront of her.

'Now, let's see. What love story is this?' In Suzuki's mind. She pointed her fingers towards them and

'You f****** don't try to waste my time.'

She then continue to walk.

"What's this?!"

"Get back here you ugly woman!!"

'Yeah, yeah. Talk all you want. I don't have time to entertain this bastard's fans.'

'If I have the chance, I could just throw this body away.'

'But I'm afraid I cannot do that.'

Suzuki stopped infront of the health center and entered. Shane and Kian approached her and asked why she is carrying the ugly bastard who hurt Tora.

"You're so annoying, be quiet." She scowled toward Shane. Suzuki then carefully throw the body in one of the beds.

"Nice Mifuyu-sama!"

"I still can't understand what did Tora cast." Suzuki sit on the couch beside Tora's bed.

"It might be one of those techniques." Kian answered while holding his chin.

"We have seen one of those techniques since me and Shane already lived for 200 years."

"It is one of the strongest power back in 18th centuries."

"It is a technique that can rewind one's experiences and abilities."

"Although the effect has a time limit. The original effect will last for an hour or two. But Tora just started to discover the technique, so I believe it'll last for 10 minutes or so."

"Still, it is powerful." Dane explained.

"But where did he even learned that technique?" Suzuki asked while looking at Tora's face. Dane just shrugged and J.C. is still silent.

"Ofcourse, my maknae is powerful!" Shane praised the person lying on the bed.

The next day. Tora is inside J.C. house, wrapped around with bandages in his entire body. Prince Austine weren't able to wake up yesterday. Either because of the aftereffect or the loss of blood.

The 2nd part of the battle continued. The five of them won every battle they encountered and finally they reach the finale, the 3rd part of the battle.

"Do you think something's strange?" Suzuki started to question the competition.

"You think so too, Mifuyu-sama?" Dane agreed.

"You guys are so strong!" They shook by the person appeared in front of them. A girl with cat ears and tail.

"I have been watching you guys from the start! Although that Tora guy didn't won..."

"You guys must be eager to take home the prize!" Her tail wiggles everytime she talk and falls down when she's sad.

'Wait a minute...' Suzuki wondered.

"You mean to be able to enter the school?"

"What school?"

"Kingdom of Creatures Academy?"

"H-mm?"

"An old man said that we first need to win the competition, so we can enter the school."

"Ahh! Haha, that old man. He do that everytime someone new arrives in this place."

"And to enter the island, you have to fly to get there. You see, teleportation doesn't work in that island." The cat girl explained and their face turns into pokerface.

"So, what prize was it?" Suzuki asked.

"The prize of this competition is a Sword. A Sword that can defeat any type of opponent. It's name was Devil Sword and it was the sword of Dark Knight."

'Dark Knight...'

"I thought that person told you guys since I saw him when the announcement was made." She then pointed her fingers to J.C.

'This bastard knew all along!'

Suzuki was about to kill J.C. but Kian stopped her.

"You bastard knew all along but did not tell us!"

"Now, take a look at what you did to Tora!" Suzuki roared in anger and was now trying to breakthrough Kian but J.C. just coldly look at her.

"Now now, let's just withdraw and wait for J.C. to take his sword back." Kian trying to calm Suzuki but she didn't back down.

'Hmm?' In cat girl's mind.

"I am going to fight him!" She declared. The eyes of Kian and Dane widened, and Shane smiled.

"Yes Yuki-ssi! Kill him!"

Dane scowled at him and he shifted his gaze towards Suzuki.

"Are you sure about that Mifuyu-sama?" Dane asked worriedly.

"You see, as what I've heard Dark Knight lived for about 250 years now. And he is famous for being so strong. Although, he disappeared 100 years ago and now.... he's here." Dane continued.

'Hmm???' In cat girl's mind.

'250 years?! Wait, how did that old man knew then?' In Suzuki's mind.

"Are you scared?" Shane mockingly asked.

"You ugly bastard! Who said I'm scared?" Dane shouted and they began to fight.

'But why do I feel like I can defeat him?' In Suzuki's mind.

"Perhaps.... You're Dark Knight?!" The cat girl is now infront of J.C.

"How?!" Her eyes widened.
