The Last Lunar Wolf

PERSEPHONE It’s my 21st birthday and today is the engagement day of my sister, Lilith, with my fated mate, Alpha Lander. How ironic, he rejected me, but he didn’t allow me to accept his rejection. He wants me to suffer, he is very disgusted with me, a wolfless she-wolf that was fated to him by the moon Goddess. I know that he is in love with my half-sister. It’s been 9 years since I became part of Silver Moon Pack, Alpha Raymond is my father’s best friend. I always saw him in our pack when I was still young. At first, he treated me well, but as I grew up they started mistreating me. “Hey, are you really going to watch this ceremony?” “Aiden” he is the beta of my ex-mate, my only truest friend here in Silver Moon Pack. “You know that this is not just an engagement ceremony, he’s going to mark her today” he added I didn’t respond to him, I just stared at the two people who ruined my world.. I don’t think this is the right time to reveal my wolf. Since I arrived here Alpha Raymond never let Silver Moon Pack know where I came from, about my parents, about who I really am. He said it is not necessary.. All the wolves here in Silver Moon Pack thought I was wolf-less, I mastered hiding the scent of my wolf and pretended to be wolf-less. And I know that’s one of the reasons why Lander chose another she-wolf, my half-sister, Lilith, has the blood of an Alpha. “If you want to escape, I’ll help you find another pack. It’s hard to be a rouge if you are wolfless” “Thank you, Aiden, I want you to know that I appreciate you” I sincerely told him, as this may be the last time that we will see each other. “In case I decide to leave, I don’t want you to get involved with it. Lander trusted you, please do not break your brotherhood just for me.” “But Percy, it’s not safe out there.” “Aiden, I was never safe even inside the border.” “I’m sorry Percy, that you are experiencing this.” I froze when I felt my heart squeezed, and it felt like my heart was being torn into pieces. I turned my gaze to my mate, I saw him staring at me while marking my half-sister Lilith. “D*mn, I don’t f*cking understand why he is treating you like this” he said with full of worry. He didn’t know how he will help me ease the pain. ‘Accept his rejection now, Persephone!’ My whole body is like tearing apart, it’s very painful, it is suffocating… “Percy!” I almost collapsed with the unbearable pain in my heart. I felt like floating. When I opened my eyes, Aiden was carrying me, and he was running as fast as he could to keep me away and far from Lander. When the distance was already enough for him, he stopped and guided me to one of the benches. I glanced at our surroundings, and we are almost at the edge of the border. I tapped his back, I tried to ignore the pain in my chest from the marking that Lander made.. “See you soon, Aiden. Please take care.” With that, I crossed the border and ran as fast as I could. I stopped at the tallest tree that I saw. I can still see the stage where Lander and Lilith are together. My distance is way too far for him to notice me, especially because they are busy with their visitors, but my vision is much stronger than any wolf. Despite my distance, I can still see them clearly. ‘It’s time Persephone’ ‘Yes Gaia, let’s find our home’ “I, Moon Persephone Hart of Silver Moon Pack, accept your rejection Alpha Lander of Full Moon Pack” I felt a pang in my heart, I felt the bond breaking, as I felt this pain, I can see him clenching his heart from the pain of breaking the bond. I saw him pale and shiver.. I saw him searching for me, but I was way too far and our bond had been broken. He will never sense me anymore. I am sure he will send his warriors to find me and put me in the dungeon to punish again.. It’s time for me to run. I jumped and let Gaia take the lead.
