“Are we really leaving tonight?” - this is the second time I asked my Nox that question. Well, I can’t really help it because first I am getting anxious, second is that I still can’t believe that there has been quite a few changes in the story’s plot and I can’t help but to scold myself for causing it.

But what should I do? I can’t just let myself be ignorant of what is going to happen to me and to our kingdom. I cannot live this life full of regrets just like the original Raeliana. It will hurt my pride that in my last life I was able to live my life and had no regrets yet I cannot do it here in my new life.

“That’s the second time, Rae. But to answer your question again. Yes, we are leaving immediately since the Empire is quite far and we cannot possibly use your summoning magic or even my ability to use teleportation. It will cause a ruckus on the magical tower of the Empire. I just wanted to hear a yes or no answer because I already know that reason from the very start. The Emperor is not greedy however, there is a possibility that the nobles of the Empire will persuade him to obtain us for more military and magical advantages.

“Eclipse” - I suddenly heard the sweet voice of our mother called out my name behind me which instantly made me turn around to face her.

“Yes mom?” - I stated and I saw this familiar worried expression on her eyes. I even saw the same expression on my dad’s who is now right beside her.

“Whatever happens don’t use your ability alright? Let us handle whatever the situation is for your own safety” - she said which made me heave a deep sigh. So that’s why they have this worried look on their faces.

Originally, Raeliana found out that she can summon spirits two days before her execution and she can only summoned a level one spirit at the time so I haven’t read anything about the Wynknight’s Queen and King being worried for their daughter like this.

I guess it is a good thing right? And because of this I am also able to experience once again how a mother can be so worried for her child.

“I promise to keep my ability hidden, however I will make use of my swordsmanship whether you guys or myself are in trouble” - seryoso ngunit nakangiti kong saad at kitang kita ko kung paano napailing si dad at si mom naman ay napangiti nalang din.

I am determined to protect them with my abilities, that’s why I bought with me the sword Nox gave me when I turned sixteen. It is a special sword with a magic stone attached to it so it is quite powerful.

“Anyways let’s go the carriage awaits” - Dad said at agad niyang inalalayan si mom papasok ng karwahe. Ashton and Alice also made sure that all our baggages are put in their rightful place and that nothings should be left.

“Your highness everything is set” - a knight named Luke approached Nox. Luke is the third strongest in the knights. And he is Nox’s left hand man who handles the proper education of the knights-in-training on how to properly fight enemies and to protect their masters and the kingdom itself.

“Good. Remember that your duty is to protect the King and Queen first before us” - Nox said and Knight Luke nod his head. We are actually planning to just bring Alice, Ashton and Luke with us. Since the three are very skilled knights we both think that it is enough since I can also wield a sword perfectly.

The three are not actually going to protect us but our parents. That is their sole duty for this trip.

“ Let’s go” - Nox said and he gave me his hand to assist me in entering our carriage. When I finally entered the carriage and as I sat down comfortably, it was Nox’s turn to enter. Then when he finally sat down across me the door closed and the carriage started moving already.

The three knights are not using a carriage but rather they are using their own horses. I looked outside the window and I saw Alice’s attire. She is wearing a knight’s attire and not a maid’s. And actually I think that she is pretty cool in that outfit. Maybe I could ask her to wear that kind of outfit more often.

“ I guess you are admiring Knight Alice’s get up today Rae” - I heard Nox said which made me look at him.

“Well of course, I never saw her wear such outfit.” - I exclaimed while I am smiling from ear to ear. Well I can’t help it since Alice is really cool! I am obviously stanning her right now like she is a sexy hot korean idol!

“What about me? Will you admire your own brother when I wear a commander’s attire?” - he asked and I clearly saw how his lips went upward to form a sly grin.

Hindi ko tuloy mapigilan ang mapataas ng kilay dahil sa tinanong niya.

“In your dreams brother” - Nakangisi kong sagot sa tanong niya kasabay ng paglabas ko ng aking dila upang asarin siya. And after a second, he suddenly burst out laughing his ass off.

“Damn. You never fail to amaze me, my lovely sister” - he commented as he continued laughing.

Hindi ko naman mapigilan ang mapailing. Ganito talaga kaming dalawa and it is worser when we are with our parents because we often nag at each other and rant about petty things.

Let us say we are pretty much so close unlike any other royal family that values rankings more than their children’s feelings.

Originally, Raeliana is just a sweet loving plain lady but I literally revised that image. I am still sweet and loving but I too can be cold and indifferent whenever I feel like it. I can also be sarcastic and harsh depending on whoever I am talking to or what topic we are talking about. And also I have this childish attitude.

“Of course, I am your one and only sister. And because I am your one and only sister you have to choose a wife that will exceed my beauty, my talent, my intelligence, well let’s just say that may exceed all of me” - I sweetly smiled at him but I used a tone that will give him the impression that I am hella serious.

Hindi ko pinaplanong magkaroon ng sister-in-law na walang kwenta. She must exceed my expectations, she must be fitting of the role of being my brother’s wife. Like seriously? Masasayang ang genes namin kapag walang kwenta ang napangasawa ng kapatid ko.

“I have no plans in getting a fiancè just yet Rae. I’d rather just do my job as the prince and have time with you, mom and dad and of course have time in strengthening my magic” - he said in a matter of fact tone. Sinandal niya ang kanyang siko sa may bintana at nanatiling nakatingin siya sa labas.

“Whatever Nox. I am just reminding you that you shall follow a woman’s instinct especially coming from me” - nakangiti kong saad at alam kong halat sa tono ng boses ko ang confidence. But the smile on my face was instantly replace by a smug look when I heard Nox laughed like he was — no he is definitely making fun of me!

Napairap nalang ako at tumingin nalang din ako sa labas kung saan kitang kita ko ang mga fireflies na nagsilabasan. I can still remember how excited I was to be able to see fireflies again. Why? Because in my past life, fireflies are already a rare sight to be seen. They are almost or rather they are already considered as endangered species together with butterflies.

And seeing the abundance of such in this place is making me happy because that only means that the place is healthy.

“Rae?” - Nox suddenly called out to me and I just replied simply.

“Hmm?”

“Don’t fall in love recklessly. Wait for the right person and the right timing. Loving can be a bliss yet it can also be disastrous” - he said at ramdam ko kung gaano siya ka seryoso sa kanyang sinabi.

I know that it is not just a reminder but also a warning.

Love? I really never gave it a thought since it is not what I want and really it is not a priority since I need to prepare myself for whatever what may happen especially in this three day activity that the empire invited us to join. So maybe more or else I will be single for the rest of my life.
