Heiress 29: FA Foundation Week

Chelsea's POV

*RING *RING

I sat up and reached for my phone. Nakita kong si Lavalee pala ang tumatawag kaya agad kong sinagot yung tawag.

"Yes?" I asked

[Lavalee said to wake everyone else.] Huh?

I got a little confused when I heard a man's voice then I heard a little indistinct sound before I heard Lavalee's voice talking to the guy's voice and that's when I realized to who the voice belongs to.

Jace.

I ended the call and went to do my morning rituals while dialling their cells one by one. I have Ethan's, Elijah's and Caspian's digits because my good friends are so full of mischief that they sometimes hide from their body guards.

After I did my morning rituals, I went downstairs and I was a little stunned when I saw Lavalee and Jace playing in the kitchen. They're both wearing an apron while Lavalee is holding the spatula.

"Damn, Dreice!" Lavalee cussed and chased Jace

I tilted my head to make sure I'm seeing things clear and I'm not imagining things.

"Ohayo, Chels." Lavalee stopped running when she noticed me

"Uh Nanishiteruno, Lav?" I asked her and she smiled

(Translation: Uh What are you doing, Lav?)

"Cooking." She replied with a little smile on her face

She seemed so happy cooking.

"Messing the kitchen is the right term." Jace commented and I saw how Lavalee's eyes glared at him

"It's your fault, Dreice. I asked you naman eh! You said I just need to turn on the stove so I did!" Lavalee ranted while glaring at Jace

"Lav, you should've asked me instead." I told her trying to calm the situation

"I wanted to try, Chelsea." She said and looked at me.

I don't know if I'm imagining or seeing things but I saw pain and sadness in Lavalee's eyes.

"You don't want my help." Jace reasoned out

I want to stop him from reasoning to Lavalee because during this kind of times, Lavalee's mind is blocked. Like all humans, Lavalee's mind can also think irrationally especially when she can't contain her emotions. Lavalee is still human.

"Kkeutnass-eo!" she said and harshly turned off the stove before removing the apron and throwing it away harshly

(Translations: I'm done!)

"Lavalee." I called her calmly

"I just want to try, Chelsea." She said I saw her hit her head with a closed fist

"Lavalee, I'm going to help you if you really want to." I told her calmly

"Shikataganai!" she shouted and dropped the spatula on the counter causing a loud noise to echo in the kitchen (Translation: It's no use!)

"¡Nunca aprenderé!" she said and messed her hair and hit her head. I saw Jace held her hand but I don't think it's a good move because Lavalee's eyes glared at him

"Gaja!" Lavalee said and she rushed out and I don't know but I think I saw her crying when she left.

I turned to Jace because he was still. I think he saw what I saw.

"Go on. Follow her, Jace." I told him and he looked confused

"You shouldn't tease Lavalee about things regarding chores. Lavalee doesn't know, she's trying to learn." I scolded him calmly,

He bowed his head before nodding and leaving.

"What happened? Narinig namin nasigaw si Lav." Irene and Jess rushed here

"It''s nothing that serious. Nagtalo sila ni Jace." I said and sighed

I know Lavalee's hurt because I think she had grown close to Jace and then this happens. I hope everything they've spent together won't go down the drain because it'll be hard to rebuild it.

"Why? What were they arguing about?" Jess asked

"This." I said and motioned the kitchen

Lavalee's still neat, there's not even a messy drop or spill on the kitchen counter apart from where she dropped the spatula. She's still the neat girl we met many years ago.

"She tried to cook." Jess said and I nodded

"Should we tell the butlers to ban her here?" Irene asked and we chuckled but it fade when we saw the plate with fried bacon, ham and egg. The rice cooker is also plugged and there's rice in it.

"Don't be too harsh on her." I told her and she shook her head

"Do you think it's edible?" Jess asked even though the food looks safe because Lavalee cooked it. If we saw this five years ago, we'd eat it without hesitation but after what we witnessed these past five years during her breakdowns? We'd have doubts of course but we still appreciate that Lavalee's trying. She's trying her best and that's what's more important.

"Let's try." I said and took a serving spoon from the cabinet, I also took out eight plates and asked the two to prepare the table.

I know Lavalee acted like a brat earlier but we understand where she's coming from. Lavalee knew how to cook, she used to. Ever since the incident five years ago, Lavalee never dared to enter the kitchen because either she's breaking down or she's only making a mess.

While Irene and Jess are preparing the table I took a serving of rice and took a small sucer and spoon. I tasted the rice and I was surprised when it's cooked correctly.

If Lavalee's the one who cooked this rice, I can say she's finally overcoming her past.

I took a piece from the bacon egg and ham and took the foods left on the pan and placed it on the serving plate, I know Lavalee took effort in cooking this.

"Irene! Jess!" I called them after tasting the food.

I prepared two more spoon and gave it to them and told them to taste the food Lavalee cooked.

"Si Lav ang nagluto nito?" Irene asked and I can see surprise in her eyes

"What does it taste like?" I asked them

"Oo nga! Si Lav nga!" Irene exclaimed

We've tasted some delicacies that Lavalee used to cook before. Chicken Cordon Bleu was her specialty, maybe because it was the twins and their Mom's favorite.

I excused myself and went to the backdoor, I dialed Frost's number and after two rings he picked it up.

"Lavalee cooked." I informed him

[What happened?] he asked

"She thought it didn't end well but it seems like she still have it in her. She still remember." I said

[She didn't breakdown?] he asked

"No, luckily, Jace was there with her, teasing her. It probably helped because she's distracted." I answered and I heard his sigh

[Thank you.] Frost said and hanged up

I went back to the kitchen and helped them serve the food.

I called the guys beforehand and told them to eat before I called Lavalee and Jace.

"Why are you eating that?" Lavalee asked the moment she came in the dining room

"Sino nagluto? Ang sarap." Ethan's statement stopped Lavalee from speaking

"Are you lying?" Lavalee asked Ethan seriously

"No, we're not. Taste it." I told her and she sat on her chair

She took a little portion and took a spoonful. We (girls) watched her as she ate it, we saw her glare at Jace, who is seated beside her and started hitting im.

"¡Mentiste! You said it's a mess." Lavalee said while hitting Jace

"There was fire." Jace said held Lavalee's wrist to stop her

"Sō? Anata wa mada uso o tsuita!" Lavalee said which made us chuckle because Jace looked confused so Lavalee sat and continued eating

"Lavalee said, you still lied." Irene said after clearing her throat and continued eating

"You'll cry again." Jace said while looking at Lavalee.

We looked at him in amusement because he knew about it. Lavalee really does cry at the sight of fire which is bit ironic because her name literally means fire. We think it's because fire reminds her of the camping trip she was in on the date their house was attacked and they lost their mom.

We ate in silence and prepared ourselves for our visit to Frostwood.

"I only requested for two days." Lavalee informed us when we met at the garage because she said we'll be riding their limousine.

"Diyan tayo sasakay?" Elijah asked and pointed at the limousine

"Yes. Any problem?" Lavalee replied and the limousine stopped in front of us

Ares came out from the limo.

"You again?" Jace asked him

So, Ares also came along with them yesterday.

"Yelo ka parin pero ayos lang napapasunod mo naman si Lav." Ares replied and Lavalee smacked his head

"You didn't took down your post. Patay ka talaga kay Zhy." Lavalee said

"Yeah, I saw your post. Zhyrene's parents probably flipped." Jess added

"I love Zhyrene so I will tell the world that." Ares said proudly

"Sakay na kayo, by the way, reserve the seats for Jaxith, Ali, and Icarus." Ares said and we rode the limousine

When we stopped by the RFA, some students were looking at the limousine so we chose to allow Ares to go down first and we followed him to the faculty. He excused us as the 'REPRESENTATIVE OF FA'.

After that we rode the limousine with Jaxith, Icarus and Ali. When we arrived at Frostwood Academy, I can see amusement in Elijah, Caspian and Ethan's eyes.

"Welcome to Frostwood Academy." Lavalee said when we're all in front of the gate.

Good thing we're all wearing civilian, none of us is wearing heels because Lavalee told us that it's not advisable and we should be comfortable in what we're wearing, and it should have the touch of blue and white because as they've said it's Frostwood.

"Nakacouple shirt na naman." We were a little surprised when we saw Jester

"Jester?" Jess asked and looked at Lavalee confused

"Welcome to Frostwood Academy, visitors." Franco said and smiled

"Hey, Franco." I greeted him

"Hey, Chels." He greeted back

"How about me, walang taong babati?" Zhyrene asked and smiled

"Hi, Zhyrene." Ares said and Zhyrene rolled her eyes on him

"Sabi ko tao. Hindi asungot." Zhyrene said snarkily

"So anyways, we should go to our office first to introduce you to the officers." Jester said and lead us to the SSC office

"Hi, Kuya!" A girl with a bright smile said when she saw us err Ali

"Nix." Ali said and the woman she called 'Nix' hugged her

"Hi, Jax." She greeted Jaxith

"Kuya Hendrix? Kasama ka?" Another girl asked

"Malamang, Alkia, VP diba?" Zhyrene said 

"Before I forgot, I'm Alkia Haiden, the VP." The girl Zhyrene called 'Alkia' introduced

"Oh hi, I am Althea Frescobaldi, the secretary." the girl with eyeglasses introduced

"I'm Athena Frescobaldi, the auditor." The girl with a crown hairpin said

"I forgot to introduce myself, I'm Phoenix Alisha Haiden, the peace keeper." The calm looking girl introduced

"I am Alexei Hiroshi, the Public Information Officer." The guy with brown hair said

"I am Neider King, Highschool Department Representative." The only boy wearing the high school uniform said

"Icarus Santiago, RFA President." Icarus introduced'

"Jaxith, the secretary." Jaxith introduced and bowed

"Hendrix Ali Haiden, RFA Vice President na laging pinapasahan ng president ng gawain." Hendrix said and glanced at Icarus who's wide eyed

"Loko ka, Rus. Pinahihirapan mo si Kuya Hendrix." Alkia said and hit Icarus on the shoulder

"Kasi nga ipinasa mo kay Ali, kapag ikaw siniraan nun kay Alkia ewan ko nalang."

"Bakit, ikaw ba hindi sisiraan nun kay Alisha?"

So these girls who are coincidentally SSC Officers of FA and related to the RFA's VP happened to be Icarus and Jaxith's love interests.

"Naghahanap lang si Kuya ng pamblackmail." Alisha said while shaking her head

"I'm not." Hendrix said

"Excuse me, Lav, here's your marriage contract and the developed picture." Althea said and gave Lavalee a brown envelope

"Marriage contract?" we asked in chorus

"There's a stall called Marriage Booth?" she said and raised her brow at us

"Sino naman nagpakasal sa'yo?" Irene asked

"Actually, I was caught and SOMEBODY paid the jail guard to marry me off." Lavalee said emphasizing the word somebody. I bet she know who ordered them.

"Just saying, si Franco yun." Athena said

"Not me. Ako pa ipinahamak mo." Franco said and shook his head.

"Yep, I saw Ares giving the money to Franco." Zhyrene said and shrugged her shoulders.

"Anyways, here are your passes." Jester gave us all a pass and we went out

"Where's ours?" Lavalee asked when we're already on the hallway

"Para ano, may price na naman kayo?" Jester shook his head after saying that

"We'll just watch." Jace said and Lavalee pouted

"Yan. Ganyan dapat." Jester said and smiled victoriously at Lavalee

"We still need passes though." Jace said which made him frown

"Ikaw ah! Kahapon mo pa kinukunsinti si Lavalee." Ares said and pointed at Jace

"What's wrong with that?" Jace asked like it's nothing because to them it's nothing but to us, well we do have a different meaning with their action.

"Because he loves me to bits." Lavalee stilled after what she said.

She must've realized what she said. Lavalee always says that whenever we're spoiling her and giving or helping her with whatever she wants. Looks like she got so used that she didn't realize the situation.

"Love you? Or you love me?" Jace smirked while asking Lavalee tauntingly

Looks like he learned too many things from Lavalee, and I think this time Lavalee will be tasting her own medicine. We did try to make her taste her own medicine but Lavalee's too smart and she's always using her puppy eyes and dramatic skills to slide off.

"I didn't mean it! I got so used, okay?" Lavalee defended and crossed her arms

"What did you say yesterday?" Jace teased which made Lavalee's brow's furrow

"Yah! Yamete, Dreice! I'm not teasing you!" Lavalee said and hit Jace on the arm and Jace held her wrists again

"Nan demo." Jace said emphasizing each word while their faces are inches away Lavalee pushed him and hid behind us. This is once in a blue moon scene. We haven't seen Lavalee act like this ever since Ravien and Bloom passed away. They're the only ones who could make Lavalee like this.

"You've been teasing me since last night! Yamete." Lavalee said while sulking behind us

"Here." Jester said and gave the passes to Jace

I think they're teaming up against Lavalee to get back with all of her pranks and well she's doing the same to them before so they want Lavalee to have a taste of her own medicine.

"Unfair! Why did you give it to him?" Lavalee asked and stomped her feet

"Parang bata si Lav." Zhyrene said

"Wag niyo pagtulungan si Lavalee." Athena said softly

"Oo nga, she seem nice pa naman." Alisha said

"NICE?!" they asked in exasperation

"You don't know what you're talking about, Alisha." Hendrix said and placed his arm over his sister's shoulder

"That girl made a bet with her classmates, all of them that if she wins only those who side up with her can pass third year and those who didn't will fail, including her opponent." Hendrix said

Looks like the SSC's updated will all that's happening in the school, eh.

"Jaxith said normal lang yun sa school niyo, Kuya." Alisha replied

"Nope, Lavalee's opponent was a huge guy and probably the strongest in their class." Jaxith said while shaking his head

"Really? That's cool!" Alkia commented

"What the heck?!" Icarus, Jaxith and Hendrix asked.

Obviously they expected the girls to show the opposite reaction with their current reaction.

"So cool niya, right? Manhid pa!" Zhyrene said

"I'm not." Lavalee said

"Are to." The four of us said (me, Irene, Jess, Zhyrene)

"Nan demo." Lavalee said and rolled her eyes.

We continued going to the stalls and ended up splitting into groups, of course the guys didn't leave us, only Jace and Lavalee separated from us.

Then Irene, Jess, Caspian and Elijah went along with Jester and Hendrix.

Ares, Icarus, Jaxith, Ethan and Franco stayed with me, Alkia, Zhyrene, Athena, Althea, and Alisha. I know, I think Jaxith, Icarus and Ares are guarding their love interest which are Alisha, Alkia and Zhyrene while Franco, I don't know why he chose to stick with us. I know Ethan stayed because he needs to guard me.

We had fun with the mind games, obstacle course puzzles and things that need solving, analysis and such then we passed by the movie booth and saw that Jace and Lavalee ae going in.

Jace stayed true to his words, they just watched movies but I don't think Lavalee will agree for long. Lavalee's stubborn attitude will kick in and her devious mind will activate soon, I'm kind of worried with Jace because Lavalee can be kind of handful when she her stubborn attitude and devious mind had just kicked in.

After a little while, we chose to have lunch in the cafeteria, we coincidentally all met there so we needed to connect two long rectangular table, Jace and Lavalee arrived last and we were kind of surprised when they have lunch boxes. In turns out Jace prepared it even before Lavalee decided to cook and before all the mess. He was only able to prepare Lavalee and his because he doesn't know what to prepare for us.

"Manang gave the recipe to you?" Lavalee asked after drinking her juice

"Yeah." Jace replied

"Pwede na kayong magpakasal." Icarus teased

"Kasal na." Lavalee and Jace replied though they have different expressions on their faces.

Lavalee's smiling mischievously while Jace seem bored.

"Wala na. Game over, boys. Lavalee's back." Zhyrene commented.

Looks like she also noticed that Lavalee's stuborness and devious mind had kicked back in.

After eating lunch we decided to go together to the movie that Lavalee and Jace watched earlier. We noticed that we're attracting attention, probably because the president, vice president, secretary, treasurer, auditor, and peace officer of their Academy is with us. We did so many activities and by 5PM we claimed our prizes, too much for Jester's irritation because we're the only ones who get to have twenty stamps from different booths. He told us that our passes will only be stamped if we win and since we're always winning on first try we managed to complete it within 9 hours. Though Jace and Lavalee still have two more vacant stamps but Jester, Alkia and Franco implemented a new rule that the complete pass stamp can be only claimed once every other day because they said that they'll go broke because of us.
