Heiress 28: Going to FA

Jace's POV

*RING *RING

I sat up ang opened my phone. Medyo nasilaw pa ako dahil madilim yung kwarto, nakita ko yung pangalan ni Lavalee kaya kumunot ang noo ko.

[Ohayo! By the way, I called to inform you that I'm going to Frostwood Academy.] sabi niya kaya napatayo ako

"Sasama ako." Sabi ko at agad na kumuha ng damit mula sa lalagyanan

[Eh? Are you sure? You won't study for your family's business?] tanong niya kay kumunot ang noo ko

"What? How did you know that?" tanong ko at pumasok sa loob ng banyo

[Connections. Anyways, sure kang sasama ka?] sabi naman niya

"Yes. Wait for me." I said and hanged up

That girl better have waited for me or else she'll regret it. I took a quick shower and brushed my teeth before wearing a white shirt and pants. I went out of the room after wearing my shoes.

"Scared na iwan ko?" she teased me but I just hissed at her

I ignored her and sat on the couch and tied my rubber shoes before standing up.

"Manang." She called the head of the maids

"Bakit po, young lady?" the old woman immediately asked

"You should take the week off. Don't worry you still would be paid." Lavalee said and smiled

"Sigurado po kayo, young lady? Baka po magalit si master Frost." The old maid said and bowed

"Don't worry about Nii-sama. It's fine besides it's about time we learn to do household chores anyway." She replied and the old maid bowed before leaving

"Butler Jon." She said and pressed the intercom on the wall beside the TV

A little later, the butler she called arrived.

"Tell the other butlers to take the week off." Lavalee said

"Pardon, young lady Lavalee but I can't follow your order. Master Frost strictly told us that the maximum number of butler that would take the week off would be one third of the current numbers." Butler Jon replied

"But we have body guards too." Lavalee reasoned out

"I'm sorry, young lady, but I can't defy master Frost." He said and bowed

"Okay, I'll tell you once Frost agrees." She replied and the butler bowed and left

I was a little confused when she started pressing some buttons on the remote and a little later the snowflake like figurine at the middle of the table glowed

"Ohayo, Nii-sama!" Lavalee greeted

"Ohayo, Furamerine, Scott." I looked at Mr. Frost Hanazono when he said my last name

"Good Morning, Mr. Hanazono." I replied

"Naze denwa shita?" his gaze returned to Lavalee

"I'm going to send the all the butlers on a week off." Lavalee said

"Doshite?" he asked her

I stood up and bowed before going back to the room I'm occupying and took my charging phone and brought my wallet and car keys. When I came out I saw that Lavalee's still discussing with her brother so I went to the kitchen.

"Nasaan si young lady? Bakit hindi mo siya kasama, ijo?" the head maid asked me

I chose not to answer so she looked at me and smiled while laughing softly.

"Nagtatalo na naman sina young lady at si master, ano?" the head maid asked while cooking and looked at me again. I nodded at her when she looked at me.

"Alam mo, ijo, matagal na akong nagsisilbi sa mga Hanazono, bata palang sina young lady at master ay ako na ang kasambahay nila," she narrated and I leaned on the wall

"Natatandaan ko pang ako ang kasama ni Master Frost noon nung nasa field trip siya halos limang taon narin ang nakakalipass bago sila umuwi sa bansa ng Mama nila." She said and suddenly she looked sad

"Pansin ko na malapit na kayo ni young lady, pakiusap, ijo, pagtiyagaan mo si young lady." I was a little surprised when she said that.

"Po? Bakit po?" tanong ko

"Kasi siya ang nagpapatatag kay Master Frost at nagpapanatili ng komunikasyon nilang magkakapatid. Aba kung wala siguro si young lady, hindi na alam ni Master Frost kung paano pagsasabaying ang pag-aaral at pag-aalaga sa mga kapatid nila. Baka nagkawatakwatak at hiwahiwalay na sila." Sabi niya at hinango na ang niluluto

"Nasan po ang mga magulang nila?" tanong ko pero naalala kong wala na nga pala

"Wag niyo na pong sagutin." Pagbawi ko dahil halatang nalungkot ang kasambahay

"Manang, Nii-sama agreed!" Sabi ni Lavalee pagkapunta rito

"I won against Nii-sama, manang!" nagtatalong sabi ni Lavalee

I'm a bit curious how she could jump while wearing heels. This woman is unpredictable.

"Mahal na mahal ka ng kuya mo eh." The head maid said

"Manang Fe naman eh." Lavalee said

"Totoo naman, ija. Mahal na mahal ka ni Master Frost." The head maid said

"Anyways, Manang, take care, okay? I know Butler Jin along with Keisha and ate Lesley will take care of you naman but still." Lavalee said and my forehead knotted when she mentioned her Butler's name and two unfamiliar names.

"Sa bahay namin sa Tagreesha ako tutuloy, kung gusto mo bumisita ka rin minsan." The head maid told Lavalee and I saw how Lavalee pouted and hugged her

"You know I can't, Manang. It's dangerous po." Lavalee said and the head maid smiled before ruffling her hair. Lavalee released the head maid from the hug and smiled.

I'm quite surprised at her closeness with the head maid because I was kind of thinking that she cares about someone's status in life and she's surrounded by people with high status but she proved me wrong. Once again.

"Oh siya, baka mahuli ka. Ito na ang agahan niyo at naipaghanda ko narin kayo ng baon." The head maid said and we helped her place the plates on the table.

"Have you eaten, Manang?" Lavalee asked the head maid before sitting

"Oo, magkakasabay kami ng butlers at maids kanina." The head maid replied before going back to the kitchen.

We ate in silence until the head maid returned and placed two lunchboxes on the table. She even placed two wallet like cylinders above it.

"Aww Arigatou, Manang." Lavalee said and opened the lunch box

"What are those?" I asked her

"It's our lunch. Even though we'll be going to FA, we can't just eat in the cafeteria." Lavalee replied

"Madadala mo ba ang mga iyan?" The head maid asked and Lavalee nodded

"Paano kapag dinagdagan ko nito?" the head maid asked and placed six bottles.

"I can carry it." I said and the head maid smiled

"Ito, ijo, ang para sayo." The head maid said and handed me a lunch box and three bottles of different drinks.

Lavalee opened the bottle and smelled it.

"With the formula, manang?" Lavalee asked

"Siyempre." The head maid said and Lavalee smiled.

After we ate, Lavalee smiled at the old woman before going to her room probably to brush her teeth and I went to the room I'm occupying and brushed my teeth too. After brushing my teeth, I went out and went to the dining room. I took the lunch boxes and bottles, I don't know what formula Lavalee was talking about earlier so I separated our bottles.

"Aalis na kayo?" the head maid asked and I nodded

"Bye, Manang." Lavalee said when she passed by hereI went to the garage and saw that Lavalee's still standing with her arms crossed.

"Problem?" I asked and stood beside her

"Nii-sama said Ares will accompany us." She said

"So? What's the matter?" I asked her

"We're riding that convoy." She said and pointed at the black cars that surround a limousine. I held her hand and brought her there

"I want to escape them nga eh." She said which made me smirk

"You love escaping." I said and we stopped in front of the limousine

"Heyah Lav!" A man came out of the car and waved at Lavalee

"What are you doing here, Ares?" Lavalee asked

"Nambubwisit." The guy she called 'Ares' replied

Why does Lavalee know too many guys?

"Then go bother Nii-sama." Lavalee said in exasperation

"May kalandian sa office niya." He said which made Lavalee's eyes widened

"My Nii-sama? May kalandian? Fuzake teru no?" Lavalee asked like she can't believe it.

"Oo nga." The guy said then looked at me and Lavalee alternately then between us and that's when I noticed that I haven't let go of her hand and Lavalee had already entwined hers.

"Ay pati rin pala ikaw." The guy 'Ares' said while looking at me

"Baka! Shiru! He's not... We're not flirting." Lavalee said

"Edi hindi! Defensive mo." The guy was suppose to touch Lavalee's hair but I held his hand to stop him from doing so

"Langya. Napapalibutan ako ng mga magjowa." He said and placed his hand in his pockets. 

"Then go back to Zyrene, dumbass!" Lavalee exclaimed, I helde her hand tight to warn her about cussing.

"Let's go. We'll be late." She said and sighed before riding the limo

I sat beside her and the Ares guy sat on the side.

"Bro, gaano kakulit si Lav?" he asked me but I ignored him

"Seriously, Lavalee? Why are all the guys in your life cold?" he asked

"Probably because I'm too hot, duh! But kidding aside, exemption sina Icarus and Jaxith?" Lavalee replied

"Literally." I added

"Bro, bakit pag kay Lavalee nagsasalita ka, sakin hindi?" the guy said

"I don't talk to strangers." I said

"Bro, I'm Ares Archangel, best friend ng kuya ni Lav." the 'Ares' guy introduced

"Jace Scott." I replied

"Dreice. Literally." Lavalee said in a teasing tone

"Anong dry ice ka dyan?" tanong ni Ares.

"D-R-E-I-C-E. Dreice." Lavalee said and even spelled my name

"Bagay kayo, Flamelinne and Dreice. Apoy at Yelo." Ares said

Third Person's POV

The Frostwood Academy looked different in it's festivity. Different booths, stalls and games are prepared by the students. There are some students who are currently giving fliers at the front gate but the moment a student saw the convoy, the students cleared the way and built a straight line on the side of the way.

"OHAYO GOZAIMASU!" they all greeted and bowed lightly when the three went out of the limousine. All of them are wearing a cold façade.

The student council of Frostwood Academy walked and bowed in front of Lavalee, Jace and Ares. The three are wearing black masks to conceal their identity, since Lavalee doesn't want anyone to know who she is as she studies.

"Ohayōgozaimasu." They said in sync and bowed

"Dōyō ni." Lavalee replied coldly, her auburn eyes glistening in the light of the sun

"We are the Supreme Student Council, I am Jester Collins, the President." The boy with a playful smile said

"Ohayōgozaimasu. I am Alkia Haiden, The vice president." The girl with a warm smile plastered in her face said

"Hello, I am Althea Frescobaldi, the secretary." the girl with eyeglasses said formally

"I'm Franco Lim, the SSC treasurer." Franco said with a smirk

"My name is Athena Frescobaldi, the auditor." The girl with a crown hairpin said

"I am Phoenix Alisha Haiden, the peace keeper." The calm looking girl introduced

"I am Alexei Hiroshi, the Public Information Officer." The guy with brown hair said

"I am Zhyrene Alonzo, the representative of College Department." Zhyrene said with a smile but frowned when she looked at Ares

"I am Neider King, Highschool Department Representative." The only boy wearing the highschool uniform said

"This way, m'lady, monsieurs." The president said and lead the three inside the Huge building made of glass.

At first glance it looks like a company made of glass but in reality, it is a building for Business Management students. The same kind of building is used by the Med Students, the difference is that the glasses are tinted dark green, like those in hospitals.

"The facilities are well kept." Lavalee complimented while looking at the hallways.

"Thank you, m'lady." The secretary said

"How do you maintain it?" Jace asked coldly

"Every Saturdays and Sundays, janitors are here cleaning and maintaining the school the whole day, students are not allowed to enter the premises during those days." The P.I.O. said

"How about during school days?" Ares queried

"We observe cleanliness at all times. Loitering and throwing garbage on places without garbage bins are not allowed, rule breakers are sent to the detention and would be charged with deduction on their final grades and must pay 100 pesos as fine." Zhyrene replied

Lavalee smirked when she heard the punishment.

'That was just a joke. Nii-sama took it literally.' Lavalee thought

The supreme student council toured Lavalee, Jace and Ares but of course they really didn't need it except Jace because Lavalee and Ares have already been there.

"Would you like to eat?" Alkia asked when they're in the School Directress' office.

They're waiting for the School Directress to arrive.

"What do you offer?" Ares asked them back

Zhyrene raised her brow at Ares and rolled her eyes. Lavalee saw that which made her chuckle.

"Archangel, don't pretend as if you haven't been here, will you?" Lavalee told Ares and tapped his shoulder

"Thank you for the offer, but we can handle ourselves." Lavalee said and smiled

"We shall take our leave, m'lady, monsieurs." Jester said and they bowed

"Can I have a word with you, Zhyrene?" Ares said when the SSC members we're about to leave

'Hindi nakatiis ang loko.' Lavalee smirked when she saw that Zhyrene's shoulders fell

"Kailangan mo?" Zhyrene asked the moment they were left alone

"Ikaw ah! Mapagpanggap ka!" Ares acted like he's hurt after removing his mask.

"Baliw ka?" Zhyrene asked sarcastically

"Forgive us for not putting him in the Mental Institution, Zhy." Lavalee said and removed her mask, Jace did the same.

"Ba't nandito yan, Lav? Wala si Kuya Frost?" Zhyrene said and rolled her eyes at Ares

"Nii-sama's busy, I was actually the only one he sent." Lavalee said and smiled

"Ba't kasama niyo yan?" Zhyrene asked while pointing at Ares

"He's Nii-sama's best friend and according to him, Nii-sama is flirting in his office so ako ang bibwisitin niya." Lavalee replied

"Lav, paano nga uli naging best friend ni Kuya Frost yan? I can't see how they became best friends, he's crazy while Kuya Frost is serious." Zhyrene said

"You should go now, Zhy, you should enjoy the foundation week." Lavalee said

"Aren't Jess, Chelsea or Irene coming?" Zhyrene asked

"Hindi mo na ba ako mahal? Bakit yung mga yun ang hinahanap mo?" Ares asked dramatically

"Try mong mawala, baka hanapin kita." Zhyrene replied snarkily

"Is he crazy?" Jace whispered to Lavalee

"Nope, just OA." Lavalee whispered back

"Langya naman, mga bro. Ako nanunuyo kayo naglalambingan." Ares said and acted sulking

"Boyfriend?" Zhyrene asked Lavalee

"No." Lavalee replied

"I will go ahead. I promised the A's I'd be coming with them to enjoy the Foundation week." Zhyrene said and hugged Lavalee and rolled her eyes at Ares before leaving

"Bakit galit sakin?" Ares asked

"What did you do?" Jace asked him back

"Nag-post lang naman ako na mahal ko siya, ano bang problema?" Ares replied

"Bobo move, bro." Lavalee said and smacked Ares on the head

"Why?" Jace asked Lavalee

"Zhyrene's parents are strict, Ares. You've seen how Zhyrene's brother, Azura, protects her." Lavalee said and face palmed

"Isa pa yung si Azura eh! Boyfriend yun ni Enyalius!" Ares said

"Oh man. You can't end up together then. Azura will marry Yali first and you can't marry Zhyrene." Lavalee said and laughed

The school directress arrived and smiled when she saw them. Ares and Jace excused themselves to give Lavalee and her aunt some privacy.

"Lavalee, I guess Frost finally allowed you to help." She said and sat on her chair.

"Of course, imo. Nii-sama's still in a business meeting." Lavalee replied and sat on the chair in front of her aunt's table

"You know, I was wondering who would be this school's next director. I can't be this school's directress forever and I don't want to ask Frost because he'd probably overthink." Abbigail Ayazaki Fuentabella said with a hint of worry in her face

"I can handle it, imo, for now, until well, Nii-sama finds a wife who can handle it laong with him." Lavalee said and her aunt smiled

"I know you will, but there's also a plan about Seasonial Academy sent by Freia and Icey and Dark Light Academy from Fuego, how are you going to handle all of those?" she asked Lavalee and the latter smiled

"I can do it, imo. Don't worry, I'll ask your help when I can't manage anymore." Lavalee replied

"I know that, Lavalee but I don't get your brother's logic at all. Why does he want that every branch of Frostwood Academy would be managed by somebody else?" Mrs. Fuentabella said

"I'll convince Nii-sama. I'm pretty sure he'd take a look at it." Lavalee said and the door opened

"Lavalee." Lavalee stood up and bowed when she saw her uncle.

"Uncle." Lavalee replied

"I'm going now, Lavalee. Can you manage here on your own?" Mrs. Fuentabella said

"I can manage, imo, uncle. Enjoy your date." Lavalee replied and her aunt hugged and kissed her forehead before leaving her.

"Anong gagawin natin dito?" Ares asked when they entered the office

"I don't know, maybe we'll just have to wait? Nii-sama didn't tell me anything about the next thing to do after meeting with the school directress." Lavalee replied and sat on the couch

"Tara, let's just enjoy the stalls." Ares suggested

"We can't, they'll recognize us." Lavalee said and stood up. The festivity can be watched from where she is standing.

Ares frowned and sat on the couch while Jace remained standing beside the couch.

"I want to join those games." Lavalee said while looking at the stall with a shooting range from the glass window.

"Then join." Jace said while looking intently at Lavalee. Lavalee looked at him like he grew another head

"Didn't you hear what I've just said? I said – Change your clothes." Jace cut what Lavalee was saying

"He has a point, Lav, we can join if we change our clothes because no one will recognize us, everyone is in civilian uniform, though they're wearing their Identification cards. Besides, we were wearing our masks earlier." Ares agreed

"We don't have any extra clothes." Lavalee pointed out

"Hey there!" Zhyrene came in with a raised brow

"Hi!" Athena, Alkia, and Althea then arrived with Franco and Jester behind them

"Why are the members of Frostwood Academy Supreme Student Council here?" Lavalee asked them and sat on the couch

"You want to join the fun, don't pretend like you don't Lav." Franco said and pointed Ares and Lavalee

"So magpapakabait kami at tutulungan kayo sa problema niyo." Jester said with a smirk

"We need clothes to change into, that's the only solution which also happen to be a new problem." Lavalee said bluntly

"So blunt, Lav." Zhyrene commented

"We have a solution for your problem." Alkia said taking their attention

"You don't have a choice but to wear these though." Athena said and gave Lavalee, Jace and Ares paper bags.

"Let's go, Lav." Zhyrene said and pulled Lavalee

"Flame." Jace called and threw a pair of denim pants from his bag to Lavalee

"Manang Fe." Jace said before Lavalee could even ask. Lavalee smiled and placed her things; wallet and phone, in Jace's bag.

"We'll meet in front or the Council office." Jester said before the girls pulled Lavalee to the office.

"Where did you get these?" Lavalee asked when she saw that there are three blouses in white, blue and green colors. When she examined the blouses she realized that those are couple shirt for a girl.

"Zhyrene said that the visitor would probably be you so she asked us to prepare that ahead of time." Alkia explained

"Ah, thank you." Lavalee said

"Go. Pili ka na dali!" Sabi ni Zhyrene kaya kinuha na ni Lavalee ang kulay blue na shirt dahil ayaw niya ng white dahil dumihin at di niya gusto ang shade ng green dahil masyadong dark.

Pagkabihis na Lavalee ay lumabas na siya.

Hinigit ni Zhyrene paupo si Lavalee at sinuklayan ito.

"It's been too long since nagpaayos ka ng buhok sakin, Lav." Sabi ni Zhyrene

"It's been long since I came here, Zhy." Sabi naman ni Lavalee

"Who's that guy, uh Lavalee?" hindi siguradong tanong ni Althea

"Jace, a friend and body guard." Sabi ni Lavalee

"So you uh live together?" tanong naman ni Athena

"Yeah, with Jess, Chelsea and Irene, along with his comrades." Sagot ni Lavalee

"Wala pang girlfriend si Kuya Frost?" tanong ni Zhyrene kay Lavalee

"Crush mo, Zhy?" tanong ni Athena

"No, mas gusto ko yung funny and playful." Sabi ni Zhyrene kaya napangisi si Lavalee

"Like Ares?" tanong ni Lav kaya hinila ni Zhyrene ang buhok niya

"Ouch. That's painful, Zhy." Sabi ni Lavalee

"Sus, ni hindi ka nga umaray nung nilalatigo ka." Sabi ni Zhyrene at itinali na ang buhok ni Lavalee

"Ikaw nga yun?" tanong ni Alisha kay Lavalee kaya nakakunot na hinarap siya ni Lavalee

"Kuya attended a meeting with the gangster council, nandon din sina Papa, nakita ko yung 30 whiplashing." Sabi ni Alisha

"Ah. Yeah. It wasn't that painful, I was numb already by then." Sagot ni Lavalee at lumabas na sila.

Nasa labas na yung mga lalaki.

"Nice." Nakangising sabi nina Jester, Ares at Franco habang nakatingin kay Lavalee na nakatirintas ang buhok at nakablue shirt.

"Problema niyo?" Tanong ni Lavalee sa tatlo.

"Here." Sabi ni Jace at iniabot ang cellphone at wallet ni Lavalee

"Tara na! Let's joing the fun." Lavalee said and they went to the booths.

Lavalee is making every student look at her as she pass by. They're taking everyone's attention just by mere passing. Some recognized them as the special guests while most of the students think that they are visitors.

"Is this your first time?" Jace asked Lavalee

"Nope. It's just that it's been 5 years since I was able to join this kind of fun." Lavalee replied and pulled him to the shooting area she was looking at earlier.

"Tingnan mo yung si Lav, nang-iiwan." Ares said and scratched the back of his head

"Let her have fun, Ares, Lavalee deserves it." Franco told Ares

"Saka magtataka ka pa ba? Kaiiwan iwan ka kaya." Zhyrene added

"Kaiwan iwan ka pala eh." Jester said and the girls left the three of them

Lavalee went in line and of course she's taking attention because of her auburn eyes and red hair, added the fact that she and Jace are wearing couple shirts. Lavalee was just standing near the stall watching Lavalee have fun.

'This girl's unbelievable.' Jace shook his head at the though while watching how Lavalee's eyes glittered at the sight of moving targets.

When it was Lavalee's turn she paid twenty pesos for five rubber bullets. After shooting five targets accurately she received an infinity ring as her price.

She got her pass stamped and she smiled victoriously while walking back to Jace.

"Come on, Jace, join the fun. Promise di kita tatakasan." Lavalee said and pulled Jace to the target shooting stall.

Jace went along with her and got his pass stamped too after he finished his turn, he received an infinity bracelet which he handed to Lavalee.

"So KJ, Dreice." Lavalee whispered

"You can't run in heels." Jace reminded Lavalee and pointed her high heels.

"Oh I can, Jace." Lavalee said but before she can run Jace held her hand tightly and pulled her near

"You promised." Jace reminded her

"Fine." Lavalee said and walked a stall where they could go wall climbing.

"It's dangerous." Jace said

"Please, Jace, just one game." Lavalee said and Jace massage his temples because of Lavalee's stubborn attitude.

"Fine." Jace agreed and Lavalee went in line.

He stood beside her and when it was Lavalee's turn he leaned at a post near where he can easily rush to Lavalee in case she falls. Lavalee gave him her heels and stepped on the foam at the bottom of the wall. He watched as Lavalee climbed up as if she's just climbing up the ladder.

'What can't she do?' he thought when Lavalee reached the end and pressed the bell then began climbing down with ease again. He walked near and placed Lavalee's shoes at the edge of the foam.

"See? I told you kaya ko." Lavalee said while she's strapping her heels

Lavalee chose the small bear with a red crystal heart.

"Here." Jace said and Lavalee placed the small bear inside Jace's bag.

"Where else?" Jace asked after Lavalee got her pass stamped

"Obstacle course ka." Lavalee said making Jace look at her confused and pointed himself

"Yep, you." Lavalee said and pointed Jace

"Or you want me to join it myself?" Lavalee asked tauntingly

"Fine, I will join it." Jace said and took his wallet from his bag and gave his bag to Lavalee.

They went to the line of the obstacle course and saw Jester and Ares having a bet.

"Ginagawa niyo dito?" Ares asked the two

"Sasali. Obviously." Lavalee replied sarcastically

"Bro, wag mo pasalihin yan, kita mong nakahigh heels." Jester told Jace

"Who told you I'm the one joining? Dreice will join, diba?" Lavalee said and glanced at Jace who sighed before nodding

"Bro wag kang under. Manipulative si Lavalee pahihirapan ka niyan." Ares said

"We have a deal, Flame." Jace warned Lavalee obviously ignoring Ares

"E~tsu? Nani? Doshite?" Lavalee asked with her puppy eyes

(Translation: Eh? What? Why?)

"No. A deal's a deal." Jace said and placed his tongue in the insides of his cheek because he's stopping himself from smiling at the look of Lavalee's face

"Edi ayan nakahanap ka ng katapat." Ares said and pointed at Lavalee, the latter just rolled her eyes.

"Stay here. I mean it." Jace said and tapped Lavalee's head

"You like him?" Franco asked and stood beside Lavalee

"I don't particularly hate him." Lavalee replied

"So play safe, huh?" Franco said and shook his head

After a few more booths, Lavalee pulled out her phone and at that moment she received a text from Chelsea.

"Hey guys, they'll be coming here tomorrow." Lavalee said

"You mean Icarus, Jaxith, and the girls?" Ares clarrified and Lavalee shook her head

"Not just them, kasama yung guys. I thought they know, Dreice?" Lavalee said and turned to Jace

"Sure." They all agreed and went to the rooftop of the Med Building, the only vacant place they can eat in peacefully.

"You brought lunch?" Franco asked when Jace gave Lavalee her lunch box

"Manang Fe cooked for us kanina." Lavalee replied and they ate

Jace handed her her drink and drank his.

"Bro, kay Lav yan?" Ares asked while pointing at the drink Jace is drinking

"No." Jace replied while shaking his head

"Buti, lason ang iniinom niyan eh." Ares said and they heaved a sigh

"It's not poison! Anata baka!" Lavalee said and hit Ares and Jester on the arm because of what they've said

"Poisonous berries and herbs?" Jace asked with a scrunched face

"Not poisonous. They're just special kind." Lavalee replied and drank

They ate their lunch and after that they decided to rest for a bit by chitchatting which Jace, on the other hand didn't join but he kept listening on their conversation. He found out different things about Lavalee and one of the things that caught his attention is when they talked about Lavalee being punished with 30 whiplashes.

'How can she withstand that?' Jace thought to himself
