"What?"
"Yes, you heard that right dear. Your papa wants you here. He's not calming down, he wants you here immediately," she added as a supporting detail.
Adalyn mouthed 'anong nangyayari' when our eyes met but I didn't said anything. Hindi na rin naman siya nagsalita pa pero halata sa kaniya na nagmamasid siya sa akin.
I can sense her concern but that isn't what I suppose to think of right now. What the hell is Mom's saying? Bakit ako hinahanap ni Dad?
There really is something going on, something I should worry about.
Pwedeng-pwede naman akong kausapin ni Dad through phone if he wants to say something to me—that I should know, but instead of that, he's asking me to go there to personally talk about what he wants to say to me?
That's how important that is. Kaya kailangan kong malaman kung ano 'yon.
"Immediately?" I asked.
Hindi ko narinig ang pagsagot ni Mom sa kabilang linya at tanging ang buntong hininga niya lang ang narinig ko. I'll take that as a yes.
Later that evening, I couldn't stop thinking about it. Buong event ay wala akong ibang maisip kundi 'yon nalang, hindi ko na mapansin ang mga bumabati sa akin.
