Chapter 19

It was relaxing, but I still can’t help but to think. What if Gio tells everyone about it?

I doubt it. He’s not that kind of person. If he does that, everything will go really bad to me.

My reputation and all. I know I should’ve considered that in the first place, but what can I do? I’ve already done it. All I can do is to wait and see what will happen.

I got back to my room and I couldn’t sleep at all. I’m just staring at the ceiling. Thinking of the scenarios that might happen and what would I do if that happens.

I sighed and stood up. I walk towards Brion’s room. This is the only way I could sleep peacefully.

When I opened the door, I saw Louis standing in front of Brion’s closet, fixing his clothes.

“You’re gonna sleep here?” He asked. I nodded.

“Okay. I’ll leave once I’m done.”

“You can sleep here if you want.” I said.

I mean, He always sleeps here. He just sleeps in his room when I’m here. He looked at me and nodded.

“Just sleep. I’ll decide once I finish this.”

Okay. I won’t force him to sleep here. I lay down beside Brion and looked at his face. I smiled and caressed his cheek. I closed my eyes to try to sleep.

I set up an alarm so I woke up early. It also woke Brion. My bad.

I just rushed to my phone and turned off the alarm. Good thing he was still sleepy so he went back to sleep after that.

Louis didn’t sleep here. I’m not really sure. He usually wakes up earlier than me.

Naghilamos muna ako bago bumaba at pumunta sa kusina. Pag kita ko ay nandun na kaagad siya.

“What time do you usually wake up? Can I cook today?”

“Of course,” He said. He was still trying to figure out what to cook.

I don’t even know what should I cook right now too. I looked inside the fridge and looked at Louis.

“W-What do you think should I cook?”

I saw him smirked and got the ingredients out of the refrigerator.

“I’ll let you cook. I’ll just tell you what to do.” I nodded.

I’m not a good cook, but I can do it without burning or making it taste bad.

“Why do you cook instead of Ate Selya?” I said.

“I don’t know. I got used to it. I want to feed Brion with my own cooking.”

I see, but he doesn’t cook lunch that much. Maybe because he’s busy with work.

They have a company in US and he was supposed to take over it, but lola is here and lola doesn’t want Brion away from her.

Kaya naman walang magawa si Louis kundi mag stay dito para samahan si Brion. He sacrificed a lot for him, unlike me.

Minsan ay napunta siya sa US kapag may meeting na kailangan nandoon siya.

Money is not a problem, kahit araw araw pa siya magpabalik balik sa US, he would never go broke.

I followed Louis instructions and he also guided me. I don’t even know what this dish is, but it smells really yummy.

“You should go get Brion. I’ll finish this up and fix the table.” I nodded and walk upstairs.

Brion’s still sleeping? I looked at the time and it’s already eight in the morning. He usually wakes up at eight. I carried him up, but he’s burning up.

“Brion? Brion! Baby… are you okay?” I said and slightly touch his cheeks to wake him up.

I ran downstairs carrying him while calling Louis. Louis came running to us.

“What happened?”

“He’s burning up.” I said crying.

“Don’t panic. Go to the car and wait for me. I’ll just get the keys.” I nodded and walk towards the car while carrying Brion.

This is the first time he got sick while we’re together. I didn’t know it’s this scary. I wiped Brion’s sweat and kissed him on the cheeks.

“You’ll be fine. We’ll take you to the hospital, okay?”

Louis got back and start the car. “Is this the first time he got sick?” I asked.

“No. Of course not.” He said.

“You don’t know how much I panicked the first time I experienced this.” He said.

“Lola and mother wasn’t there. Wala pa din nun sila yaya Selya.” Sabi niya

I can’t imagine what might happen if I’m alone with Brion and he gets sick like this.

“He’ll be fine, don’t worry.” He said.

I hope so. I haven’t been to hospitals for a very long time. The last time I went to the hospital, I was with mother. It was her last day.

We stopped in front of a building and Louis carried Brion out. He talked to the guy who I think he knows ‘cause he left his car keys to him.

He was walking so fast that I need to run so that I could catch up to them. We were attended by a pediatrician immediately. I think Louis is known here.

They’ve been greeting him the moment we walk inside the hospital

“I think you guys might’ve let him play too much yesterday,”

It’s true. He was so hyper the moment he woke up until Louis carried him when we decided to go home.

“We did. Gusto niya kasi gumala kaya pinagbigyan namin.”

“I see. But you don’t need to worry. It’s just a normal fever. Just let him take this medicine until he gets better.”

The doctor said and gave us a medicine prescription. Tinanggap ko iyon at nilagay sa aking bulsa.

“I told you he’ll be fine. Don’t worry. Brion is a very healthy child.”

He said. I know. I just can’t help but to worry. He was also worried about him though. I saw it in his eyes.

Louis bought the medicine that Brion needed while me and Brion are inside the car. I moved the hair away from his face, still wiping the sweat on his forehead.

I think we should be more careful now. I mean, we thought nothing will happen when he plays all day. Now that we already know he can’t, we should limit the activities he does everyday.
