Chapter 33

He’s young like me, but he’s got a wife. Well, he’s a handsome man so no wonder her wife owned him earlier as possible. I just don’t want anyone to know right now. Not even my cousin or my sister knows about him Maybe in time, I’ll be able to share them about my child. The guy opened the door of a big room. I think this is their VIP waiting area. “Please stay here while Mr. Villanueva is patching things up on his meeting.” “Thank you.” The room’s nice. It’s big and cozy. I can also see the overlooking view of the city here. This is almost the same as our waiting area in the company. There’s also a television here which shows every advertisement that is related to them and what’s their company all about. A typical waiting room. Not judging. It’s just almost the same as ours. Nothing special. “Mr. Villanueva is now ready to see you. Please follow me,” Sabi niya. “Ms. Valerio, it’s nice to see you again.” I smiled and said, “Same here, Mr. Villanueva.” Their meeting room right now is much better than the old one. “New meeting room, huh? This feels more comfortable and pleasing in the eyes.” Sabi ko. “Good to hear that. I wanted to upgrade our meeting room ‘cause it feels too stuffy inside.” Sabi nito. He’s right. The first time I got here, their meeting room was in a closed area. “So about my proposal,” “The painting charity program for the kids in Batangas, right?” Mr. Villanueva focus on helping children and those people who are in need that’s why I like him. We do charities together dahil dun kami nagkakasundo. “Yes. I’m glad you looked over it before coming here,” He said and chuckled. I chuckled too. The first time I had a meeting with him, I had no clue what his proposal all about. Well, I was a newbie. “But that’s fine. I knew it was like your first meeting with different company, right?” Sabi nito. “Yes. I’m sorry. That would never happen again.” I said and chuckled. “So about the charity. I’ve asked some volunteers to come with us on Saturday. If you want to bring someone, that’s fine too. You can invite anyone.” Sabi niya. “I think I’ll only bring Mr. Ramos with me.” He’s the one who planned most of it, so nakinig lang ako sakanya. I just added a few suggestions to make it better or more entertaining for the children. My day was exhausting. “Good night my little one,” Sabi ko at hinalikan siya sa noo. I think I need to relax and have a hot bath. Gio: Your sister is back in US. I’ll send you the details on your messenger. Sabi na nga ba. This is why she’s not contacting me. When she’s in US, She’s probably with her friends and who knows if she’s with her boyfriend. I don’t really care about that. My point is, sana naman ipaalam niya sa’kin. Just so I would know how she’s doing. If she’s fine and all. The problem is, I made a promise. As usual, she wears a lot of slutty clothes in parties. Indoor and outdoor. I have nothing against that. If that’s what she wants to wear, then so be it. Siguro kaya ayaw niya din dito kasi hindi siya makakapagsuot ng ganyan and the parties here are so unlikely with parties in US. But she looks so happy. I envy her. At my age right now, I should be doing those things. Partying, having fun with friends, traveling, and shopping. It’s sad how I didn’t experience those things and skipped to working and taking care of my own child. Pero wala eh. These are the result of my reckless decisions. I should take full responsibility. But I’m glad she’s having a great time. I don’t want her to be miserable like me. No matter how much I hate my sister, I would never wish her to be miserable. ‘Cause I know what it feels like. I don’t want him to experience the same way that I did. Me: Thank you, Gio. Wait for my advice before wiring the money on her account next month. Gio: Yeah, sure. It’s just sad how I should still ask someone to investigate or know her whereabouts. Whatever. After I took a bath, nagbihis na ako at dumeretso sa tabi ni Brion. Tumingin ako sa video call and I can see Louis doing paper works and looking at Brion every time he get the chance to. I’ve already turned off the bright lights. The only light that is on is the lamp beside Brion. Brion’s not sensitive with lights. There’s no problem with him when he’s sleeping. I hold Brion’s hand as I close my eyes.
