CHAPTER 5

At night, Aurora is inside her room thinking what song she will sing on the wedding day. Then since she loves singing and trying to create an original tone in the song she wrote, she decided to try to write a wedding song and make a tone of it. But before that., she wants to know first the love story of Anastasia and Charles. That will be her inspiration while writing the lyrics of the song. Aurora decided to sleep after she thought of those ideas.
Aurora is catching her own breath while running. She keeps running in the dark forest while hearing the creepy laugh and footsteps of the strangers. They are all wearing a thick and long black cloak. There’s no moon that will give a light on her way so sometimes Aurora is bumping and colliding into some trees.
“Hahahahahahahaha! Stop running Aurora, we are sure that we can catch you! Hahahahahahahahaha!” said one of the strangers who’s trying to get her. Aurora didn’t know why they were doing this. She just wants to get away in the dark forest.
While running, she can feel so much pain because her feets are already bleeding because of the wound she got. Her feets have no slippers or any that can protect her feets. Aurora is so tired running away from the strangers and suddenly she did not notice that her way is going through the monster river of the forest.
The strangers stop chasing her and they all laugh when they hear Aurora’s screams while being swallowed little by little of the monstrous waves of the river.
Morning came and like what happened a few days ago when she woke up after having a bad dream, Aurora was catching her own breath and felt thirsty. This young woman felt scared and her sweat dripped down from her forehead and her palms were also sweaty and cold.
She prayed before taking a shower. Aurora keeps thinking about her bad dreams. For her, it’s the bad dreams that make her feel so scared. It feels like it was the longest she had bathed in her whole life.
Later, she’s walking down the stairs and sees her mom on her back. She didn’t stop walking until they reached the kitchen.
“You look bothered, my daughter,” Grecia told her. Aurora let out a deep breath and replied to her mom.
“Nothing, mom. Mom, I want to go to Anna’s house again. I just need to talk to Anastasia and Charles because I decided to make an original song based on their love story.”
“Oh? Sure! Just take care when you go to our flower farm,” Grecia responded.
“Yeah, sure mom! Thank you! I’ll just buy a cooked breakfast for us,” Aurora said and get some money in her pocket before going outside. Exactly, she saw Anna walking.
Aurora is about to run towards Anna but she stops immediately when she sees Kalmin walking towards her friend. She smiled especially when Anna almost jumped because of shock.
Anna and Kalmin stopped walking and they looked at each other. Then, Aurora hid on the trees and plants near them.
“Ahm, why are you w-walking with m-me?” Anna asked Kalmin and she couldn't help but stutter.
“Is it bad to walk with you? You look very pretty by the way, as always,” Kalmin answered, which made her friend blush.
“A-ah… thank you?”
Kalmin chuckled and winked at her friend before holding Anna’s hand and they continued walking. Aurora started walking too again and acted like she just saw the two.
“Hi Anna and Kalmin! Good morning!” Aurora greeted them so the two looked at her and Anna unhold Kalmin’s hand and blush again.
“Good morning too!” Kalmin greeted her back.
“Good m-morning,” Anna responded. Then Kalmin holds Anna’s hand again as the three of them walk to go to the breakfast mini restaurant. They entered the mini restaurant and bought some breakfast such as garlic fried rice, fried chicken, longganisa, hot chicken soup and hot chocolate.
“Anna, after breakfast I’ll visit Anastasia and Charles. I need to talk to them for wedding song purposes,” she said.
“Sure, no problem!”
“You and Kalmin huh?” Aurora whispers at Anna when Kalmin is picking some biscuits and powdered coffee.
“Shhh! Don’t ever tell this to Raven! I’m going to pull your hair out of your head!” Anna whispered back.
Aurora just shrugged her shoulders then a second later Raven entered the Breakfast Mini Restaurant too. Anna sighed because she knew raven would tease her together with Aurora.
“Oh! Now I know why Kalmin wants to buy our breakfast huh?” Raven says and Kalmin looks at them.
“Raven?!” Raven just laughs at her brother.
“Hmm, I’m sure mom and dad will be very happy if I tell them this. What do you think my brother?” Raven said and teased her brother now. Aurora just laughs together with Raven when Anna and Kalmin walk away from them.
As they finish buying some breakfast, Aurora and Raven keep teasing the two until they reach their home.
“Mom! I’m here!” Aurora shouted from the outside of the door of their house. Her mom opened it and helped her to bring the breakfast to the kitchen’s table.
They silently eat while the cassette is open and playing a song.
