CHAPTER 6

After the breakfast, Aurora’s mom, Grecia, leaves their home first to go to the flower farm. While Aurora left after cleaning their house. It feels peaceful outside. Just like in the past days, there’s no loud noise from the voices of people. Almost all of them are walking silently. The wind brings fresh air because there’s no trash everywhere. A lot of trees and plants are planted everywhere, especially on both sides of the clean and peaceful road.

Meow! Meow! Meow!

She instantly jumped because of the shock. She saw a black cat whose eyes are the colour red. Aurora’s knees trembled for unexplainable reasons. She can’t be wrong! It’s the cat that she saw in her bad dreams!

“Ahhhh!” Aurora shouted when the black cat rubbed himself onto her feets. She ran as she could even though the people around looked at her with confusion.

Aurora stopped running when she couldn’t see the black cat. Her knees felt weak while she’s walking towards her friend’s house. Her heart is beating so fast. She kept catching her own breath.

“Anna? Anna?” Aurora called her friend while knocking on the door. The door opened.

“Come in, I’ll call Anastasia and Charles. Also, I already told them your purpose of coming here to talk with them,” Anna said while giving her a hot chocolate.

“Thank you!” Aurora responded. Anna called her sister and her soon to be brother in law.

“Good morning Aurora!” The couple greeted her.

“Good morning too!” She greeted them back.

“How can we help you with our wedding song soon?” Anastasia asked.

“Last night, I decided to create my own lyrics, sound etc. for your wedding song. And I think hearing and knowing your love story will help me to create the lyrics because it will be inspired based on your love story,” Aurora answered quickly.

“Oh, sure! That's a very awesome idea!” Charles responded and Anastasia agreed with him.

“Great! Can w-we start now?” she asked shyly.

“Of course!” the couple answered happily and excitedly.

“Honestly, we met when he was a freshman. I always see him outside of his school. Which is Losarious City University. I’m working as a saleswoman inside of the cafeteria with my father. You know, I’m the eldest so it’s allowed in the law of school even though I'm a woman. He loves to buy his snacks and some lunch or meal from our mini store. One day, he waited for me and my father to get out of the university. Exactly Anna and mom are there also. He started talking to my family if he can court me. Of course mom and dad didn’t agree quickly. He needs to do something that can make my parents agree with him. So every night or if it's the weekend he’s courting family first and doing what my parents want. He will buy my family’s favourite food or things. Cut some woods to us in cooking or bonfire and fetching some water to use in washing the dishes or for watering plants and many more. He didn’t give up and did all things that could make my family happy. Later, mom and dad let Charles to court me. He courted me for almost one and a half years. He gives all what he can give to me and my favourite part of his courting when it’s night, he always serenades me. After that we became a couple. Charles graduated from college, he found work and became a successful businessman. Years had passed but our relationship is still strong and we talked about marriage and a year later he proposed to me after he secretly talked to my family about this. We’re so happy because we manage to understand each other every time we fight or have some misunderstanding. It’s not easy, we admit that. Sometimes we fight for nonsense reasons or we’re angry for some reason. But, we always talk and understand each other before the day passes again. That’s one of our ways to have a non-toxic, strong and long relationship.” Aurora felt like her heart melted after hearing Anastasia and Charles’ love story.

“That’s so awesome! In our time now, it’s very rare to have a very strong relationship like that. So inspiring! I’m so happy for both of you for having a non-toxic, long and strong relationship with each other! Yeah! That’s really good in a relationship. I mean, about talking to each other if sometimes you’re fighting or having an argument with or without some reasons. In a relationship, the couple needs to do it so you’ll understand each other and be happy and content. It’s important to know each other too well before deciding to marry each other. So happy to hear your love story!” Aurora replied and she’s really amazed!

“Thank you so much!” Anastasia and Charles answered.

“That’s why, I also tell Anna about that. Kalmin came here an hour ago with his family to ask properly if he can court Ann--”

“Anastasia!” Aurora and the couple just chuckled.

“I didn’t know that Kalmin already asked that huh? By the way, you two will be a great couple, I can feel it!” Aurora said and Anna just shook her head. She’s about to say something when someone knocks on the door. Anna opened it immediately and they all saw Kalmin.

“Speaking of him, he’s here,” Charles said.

“Oh! Kalmin, come in!” Anastasia says and he talks a little bit to Anna and holds her hand before coming inside the house.

“By the way, thank you so much again, Anastasia and Charles. I need to go to our flower farm right now. Goodbye to all of you!” Aurora smiled at them and left.

While walking again, she felt happy. But her happiness disappeared when memories came back again in her mind. Now, this young woman is silently praying not to see the black cat with the red eyes again.

“I hope, I do really hope not to see him again . . .”
