Chapter 7

Today's weekend and I already feel good! Well I did have a good rest yesterday. I spent my time with Lixie, playing her but she's easily tired out and fast asleep on her new bed. I took a photo of her sleeping with her belly showing. Argh, so adorable!

What should I do now? I finished all my assignments, all my house tasks, and everything else.

A notification popped on my phone. A message from Kristine.

Hey, let's hang out later at the Victory mall. All of them are g, so should you. 3 pm sharp, See ya!

This really has no choice for me but at last! Something else to do! And it's with Kirsten and.. them? Assuming denyce, hannah, and naiara.

I did a quick shower and changed into my decent shirt and denim shorts. The mall is near so I just walked the distance.

3:12 When I got there, I quickly spotted them as they spotted me too, waving.

We just ate, chatted, and went to the arcade. I just watched them because I feel shy being way too childish around them. Although i'm itching to play with them.

"No. You come with us. No buts" they pulled me with them

The first thing we went to is the dance step arcade. Denyce and Hannah were the first to show off. And boy Denyce got the groove.

"Let's go, Naiara," Kirsten said after the first team.

"Oh nah, my feet hurt" although she was obviously taking videos of us. She was like vlogging the whole time.

"Okie, then i'll go with Jadie"

I waved my hands to refuse but then again I was pulled to dance.

I'm way too shy. But I'll make this an exception.

Finesse is the song choice.

"Im not good at this" I warned them

"Doesn't matter, me too Hahaha!" She laughed nervously

Although this dance and song is familiar.

It started medium fast already. But I'm catching up.

"Oooh, look at jadie. I think she's good!"

Then it went normal fast and since the dance steps were a bit groovy, I also did hand movement and actually I'm vibing with it!

When we looked at each other she signalled to switch. When the timing came, we went for it and high-fived. The girls were amazed.

"OH. MY. GOSH." Naiara exclaimed and I just smiled and probably was laughing out of fun. So was Kirsten.

We ended the dance with a pose. I can't believe kirsten and I were having the same thoughts this time HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

My friends shrieked and hugged us "That was so amazing! You two were totally in sync!" Hannah was so happy

We ate in S&R and I am very satisfied.

By the time we said our goodbyes, I headed back inside because I forgot to buy something at the NBS. I need to buy 20 vellum boards that Felix asked.

I checked the other isles and I saw a Faber Castell complete set. As soon as I saw the price, my eyes almost dropped. Too expensive! I'd rather buy a digital art set than this.

I strolled and bought some unnecessary stationary stuff. What? If you saw something cute, you wouldn't buy it? Well it would be a loss for me, so…

When I got home, Lixie and I watched movies together in the living room. I never felt more accompanied and relaxed.

My phone rang. Felix.

"Hey, so I assigned both of us this Monday for the bulletin, is it ok?" He informed and I can hear noises of things being scattered

"Sure! But… you could've said it earlier when I was still at the store" yeah, I think that would have been a convenient time

"Let's go out tomorrow"

"What?"

"Oh, uh, I mean y'know? Buy materials we need?" He sounded calm and busy at the same time, moving around "Olivia, did you borrow my markers?" He shouted

"No! You wouldn't even let me!" His sister shouted back

I giggled and I think he heard "Sorry about that, I was doing something for my project"

"What project?" I asked

"Well uhm," he was still obviously moving around searching for it

"You can borrow mine tomorrow" offering my art stuff is rare

Lixie barked looking at me, wagging its tail crazy

"And also I think Lixie misses you, i'll open my cam"

I fixed my hair and opened it. Dang! my face looks big.

Felix also opened his camera. And he's wearing specs. My heart skipped a beat. He looks astonishingly cute.

He ran a hand through his hair. His ceiling was white, and his room was dimly lit.

He smiled "You still there?"

"Oh! Right" I pursed my lips to prevent smiling from embarrassment. I lay down beside Lixie and showed the phone to her. I put it on loudspeaker so that she could hear him.

"Hi baby!" This is the first time I heard him call Lixie that way. And Lixie just tilted her head, wondering where the sound came from. "Lixie baby!"

I laughed at how cute the puppy was acting

I put her on my lap and pointed at Felix's face from the screen "Look! It's your dad!"

Felix choked on something "Are you ok?" and he covered his mouth nodding yes.

"So does that make you Lixie's mom?" He was smirking and I realized what I just said. How could I say this in front of him.

"You saved her! I mean, you know?" I was looking for something to say

"Well, I think this makes us her parents then?" I blushed at the thoughts that are forming in my head

"I– well, I don't know. I guess?" I laughed awkwardly

"What do I call you then? Darling?" He laughed and I couldn't see him clearly. The heat shot up to my cheeks.

"D-darling?" Why am I stuttering??

"Just kidding. But doesn't it sound cute?" He continued to work on something I couldn't see.

"Cute my butt. Stop making jokes like that" I tried covering some strands to my cheeks.

Lixie ran around being hyper "there she goes again" I turned the other camera and showed him how it was.

"She'll be asleep soon. Puppies." He shaked his head

I watched him do his thing while the movie I'm watching was still playing on low volume.

He's wearing a dark shirt, I can't see him properly.

"How can you work in the dark?"

"I just changed the bulb earlier and it was too bright, my eyes were gonna c***k"

I pouted "Are you often busy on weekends?"

"Most of the time, yes. Only because of responsibilities. You know, varsity, club, and others."

I hugged my knees "How do you manage those well?"

"I dunno, I just do things I love" He was focused on doing his project and I think I'm just getting in his way

"I think you should finish that first"

He stopped doing his work and faced his phone "Oh you have something to do?"

"Nah, i'm just watching a movie with Lixie. It's a bit boring though I usually do this all the time alone"

"Don't hold off, I like talking to you"

I stared at the phone "Is it fine? I mean I think i'm bothering you"

"Hey, I called you. It's better than my thoughts eating me. Just keep talking to me" He continued working

I raised my brows. Ok, if that's what he wants. I wonder, what thoughts is he pertaining to.

"By the way, I didn't get to thank you last time for taking care of me. You didn't need to go that far." I closed the television and decided to have full focused conversation with this man.

"I even made you angry at the pet shop–"

"I'm not. I was just embarrassed to not notice you were gone"

"Well yeah, sorry about that. I didn't make up to you and I became a nuisance that day, so lemme make it up to you tomorrow"

"Tss, as if we're strangers. You don't need to"

We talked 'til he was done doing his project. 7:24 pm.

It sure is long.

And Lixie is as predicted, asleep next to me. I softly stroked his small head. My phone was on the coffee table and Felix was tidying up his place.

I lay down next to my fur pet, playing with my hair while watching him get busy.

He looks cool even on the phone. He opened the lights and I could clearly see his room now. It was full of canvas!

"I think I'll hang up for now, I need to help Olivia with whatever she needs. See you tomorrow?:

"Okie, byeee!"

"By the way, you look cute today" he smirked and hung up.

I was again, left speechless. I stared at my phone asking to rate how good the call service was.

Argh! He did it again!

He keeps on showing signs that… that he has taken a liking on me! Darn it!

That's it! Tomorrow I'll confront him.
