CHAPTER TEN

"I hooked you up in the guest list like what you requested," sabi sa akin ni Hudson at agad akong napangiti nang marinig ko iyon. "Are you really sure that you want to do this?"

Ibinaba ko na muna ng baso ng kape na hawak-hawak ko at saka naupo sa edge ng mesa. "Yes, Hudson. I've been waiting and wanting to do this ever since the day that I got in the El Carter. Now that I have ample of time to do this, nothing's gonna stop me."

I heard him sigh from the other line. "If you need some help, call me."

"I will keep that in mind," saad ko at saka nagpasalamat bago ko ibinaba ang tawag.

One of Hunter's closed friend will be organizing a party later this evening. It was an exclusive party so I asked for Hudson's help dahil siya ang mas may kakayahan na manghack ng site ng venue. I tried too pero dahil sa tindi ng security wall ay kinailangan ko ang tulong ng taong mas eksperto sa akin sa ganitong gawain—and that is, no other than Hudson himself. One thing that I am grateful about him is that he's always available if I needed a hand. Siguro'y dahil na rin sa alam nito ang buong pangyayari sa buhay ko at ang lahat ng mga plano ko. Gayunpaman ay nagseset pa rin ako ng boundary sa kung hanggang saan lang ako lalapit sa kaniya para magpatulong. I can't drag him into this mess once things won't go the way I expected it to be. That's the least thing I could do to protect the only person who understands me.

Pagkatapos kong mag-agahan ay agad akong pumasok sa kwarto ko para maghanap ng masusuot mamaya. I studied Hunter's past girlfriends at kung may pagkakapare-pareho man ang mga naging karelasyon nito, it was their way of flaunting themselves so I had to make sure that what I will be wearing for this party will definitely suit his taste if I want to caught his attention.

I inspected my wardrobe at wala sa mga 'yon ang tingin ko ay papatok sa panlasa ni Hunter kaya minabuti kong maligo para makahanap ako ng pwede kong suotin mamaya. I was driving my car when my phone suddenly vibrated. Using my smartwatch, I opened the message and it was from Hudson. He sent me an attachment and I immediately downloaded it. Hindi ko pwedeng gamitin ang totoo kong pangalan dahil alam ko na darating ang oras na paiimbestigahan ako nito. I may not be sure about his capabilities as the President's son, but just to be safe, I asked for Hudson's help to establish an identity for me. Siya na rin ang nagmanipula sa mga papel na kakailanganin ko to back up my pseudo character.

I typed a simple "thank you" and sent it to Hudson. Nang muling magvibrate ang cellphone ko ay hindi ko na pinansin ang message na 'yon at pinaharurot na lang ang sasakyan ko. "I am looking for a dress. I have a party to attend tonight. May I?"

"Anything...sexy and revealing would do," I answered.

"Right this way," ani nito at sumunod naman ako agad sa kaniya papunta sa section kung saan naroon ang mga revealing na dresses nila. "I'd leave you for a moment so you can choose your dress. Thank you."

"Thank you," I replied.

Tinignan ko isa-isa ang mga dress na naroon and they were all beautiful, has a sexy vibe and not to mention na revealing ang mga ito gaya ng gusto ko. A black satin evening dress caught my attention. It was scoop long with two high slits on both sides. On its back, a criss cross pattern reveals the back of the woman that will be wearing it. Details of diamonds and gold can be found on random areas. I checked the price and it was only a hundred and nineteen bucks. Kinuha ko ito mula sa kinalalagyan niya at saka pumunta ng dressing area. I made sure that the mirror in front of me is definitely a mirror and not a two-way glass. Nang masiguro ko ang bagay na 'yon ay sinukat ko na ang damit. It was a perfect fit for my body and my height. I grabbed my hair for a ponytail and I couldn't help but smirked when I saw that it emphasized the details of my neck down to my collar bone. Just like how Hunter likes it.

Hinubad ko na rin ang damit at saka iyon ibinalik sa clip na kinalalagyan nito kanina. I grabbed my bag and went directly into the cashier area to pay for it. Umalis na rin ako roon para maghanap naman ng iteterno kong sandals para rito. Washington is home for tons of designer heels so I didn't had a hard time looking for one. Mabilis akong bumalik sa sasakyan ko nang makumpleto ko na ang lahat ng kailangan ko and I drove back to my apartment.

Ibinagsak ko sa kama ang mga pinamili ko and I prepared my lunch while browsing the files I collected about Hunter and his father. Tonight, it will surely be a night to remember for Hunter. There's no turning back, he's my pawn for this game.
