“Anyway, I have a proposal for both of you.” Ngayon ay natuon ang atensyon ko kay Mister Lopez habang siya naman ay tila nakikipagsukatan ng tingin sa aming dalawa. It’s really hard to read what’s on his mind. His actions are very unpredictable. Mababasa lang sa kaniyang mga ngiti ang tuwa na tila may naglalaro sa isipan. Chad and I are waiting for his deal. It is like a guessing game that I wanted to know the answer and these two men are my opponents — Mister Lopez is the master of the game and Chad is another player that I need to beat.
“What’s the reel deal, Mister Lopez?” Chad asked. I am just silently waiting what’s gonna happen next. Worried about what is the job that we’re going to work, I can’t help myself but also to ask.
