Dayn’s PoV

“Anong nangyari roon kay Sxan kanina habang kumakain tayo ng honey?” I asked Clarene.

She took off her clothes which revealed her pretty built body. Nagsuot siya ng robes at bumuntong hininga.

“Oh, come on. He was mad, wasn’t he?” she said, rolled her eyes at me.

I shrugged. “Why would he get mad? Saan naman?” Inilabas ko sa cabinet ang mga susuotin ko mamaya. Napagpasiyan namin ni Clarene na mags-swimming kami mamaya after dinner. “E, we were just talking about the guy you’ve met earlier—” I gasped. My eyes widened and my jaw dropped. I turn my head to Clarene slowly. A sudden realization just hit me. Huminto si Clarene sa harap ng pintuan at tumango-tango sa akin.

“Yup, you got it right,” she said then went in the shower. I heard the faucet turned on.

Lumapit ako at sumandal sa pintuan ng shower. Siyempre nakasara ang pinto.

“Oh, my god. Was he… was he jealous?” I asked to the both of us. I am baffled and shocked.

“Of course! Hindi ka ba nakakaramdam ha? Kayong dalawa, para kayong mga tanga,” sagot niya.

Sinara ko ang toilet seat at umupo roon. “We were just talking about that guy, and plus it was your guy!” I exclaimed. “I am not interested to that waiter you were talking about!”

“Yeah, ‘coz you are clearly interested to someone else already,” she answered. Napatayo ako sa sinagot niya. I am pacing back and fort inside this small space, gosh, I probably look like a broken tape right now.

I stopped and asked her, “To who?”

She turns off the shower and I heard her sigh from inside. She slides open the door slightly and stick her head out just to roll her eyes at me. Her hair has bubbles on it as well as her face.

“You are so f*****g dumb and in denial,” she said then shut the door again. “Where the f**k did you leave your brain? Does eating honey more than the suggested amount of serving makes you this numb? Gosh, I love you, Dayn, but I hope I don’t turn like you,” she said.

“Hey! That was offensive! What do you mean by I hope I don’t turn like you?” I imitated her. “What am I? A f*****g zombie?”

“Gosh! Thought honey would make you as sweet as them. Unfortunately, it doesn’t,” she said, disappointed. What the hell is wrong with people?!

I hissed then marched out of the bathroom. Umupo ako sa kama at tumingin sa bintana. Bukas iyon kaya tanaw din mula rito ang mga bulaklak sa labas.

It’s really not something to be mad about. Ano bang akala niya? Hahabulin ko siya? Hah! Kahit lumuha pa siya ng dugo at kaahit pa mamuti ang mga mata niya kahihintay sa akin, hinding-hindi iyon mangyyayari. Malabo pa sa sabaw ng pusit. Baka umalis siya kasi naa-out of place siya kanina sa amin ni Clarene kaya pumunta siya sa restaurant at nakipag-inuman pa kasama ‘yong babae na parang may glue ang mga mata sa lagkit ng tingin niya kay Sxan. Aba’t dinala niya pa talaga sa table niya ang babae. May pa-thank you drink ata siya para kay Ate na naka-mini skirt at satin spaghetti strap na nagpadala sa kaniya ng putaragis na hipon.

I had to go back earlier to buy water at the restaurant. I didn’t expect him to be there though, I thought he headed back to our room. I was about to enter the restaurant but then I saw this woman looking at him, I think she’s trying to get his attention. I stopped and hid on the side where he could not see me in case he looked in the woman's direction. A waiter approached him with a plate of… what is that? Oh, shrimp. The one Clarene ordered. I thought he was the one who ordered it, but this waiter pointed to the woman, and she waived her hand at Sxan in a very disgusting way. Umalis na ako roon at sa ibang store bumili ng tubig. Hindi na rin ako dumaan doon, umikot ako kahit na ba mas mapapalayo pa ako nang kaunti. Tapos noong makabalik kami ni Clarene ay may drinking session pala na nangyari. Bakit hindi niya kami in-inform? Well, perhaps he wanted to be alone with her.

“What’s wrong?”

I was startled when Clarene suddenly went out of the bathroom. She’s wearing a robe and a towel is wrapped around her wet hair.

“Are you okay?” she asked. I swallowed and nodded at her. Lumapit siya sa akin. “You’re okay? Really? But your face were all… uhm.” She rubbed the back of her head.

“Kanina ka ba andyan?” tanong ko sa kaniya. Tumayo ako at kinuha ang towel na nasa upuan.

“Oo, kanina pa. And you were just staring out the window with your you know… it looks like you’re throwing knives out of the window with your bare eyes. Gosh, if looks can kill, everybody who passed by that window is dead,” she said.

“I am not mad,” sabi ko at pumasok na sa banyo para maligo.

“Hah! You can go fool anyone but me! Eyes don’t lie, bitchy face!” she yelled outside the door, and I heard her cackle.

“Yes, they do bitchy face! Don’t be fooled!” I yelled back.

Haven’t heard anything back so I just finished washing my body and went out of the shower. I changed into a forest green wrapped around dress, it has some ruffles on its hems, and I wore a bikini underneath. I put on my make-up and a two and Oran slippers from Hermes. Clarene is wearing a trousers and self-tie top paired with Oran as well. We bought these together. Cellphone at wallet lang ang dinala ko.

Nanunang lumabas si Clarene at hinihintay ako sa labas, narinig ko rin ang boses ni Sxan noong saglit na bumukas ang pinto. Pinatay ko ang ilaw at ini-lock ang mga bintana bago lumabas ng kwarto.

Dumapo sa akin ang mga mata ni Sxan. Hindi ko iyon pinansin at lumapit kay Clarene.

“Tara na? Saan tayo magd-dinner?” I asked Clarene.

Sxan answered instead of her, “Same where we ate earlier for lunch. May nadadagdag sa menu nila kapag dinner, we’ll see when we get there. So…” he walks up to the door and opens it. Tiningnan niya ako at sumenyas sa pintuan. “Shall we?” He held out his hand and waited for me to put my hand on top of his.

Asa ka.

Inirapan ko iyon at lumabas ng room.
