“Don’t do that again. You made me worried,” sabi niya at nagulat ako.
He left me stunned.
Girl wag kang kiligin baka pinapaasa ka lang ng lalakeng yun. But why would he say that if he didn’t mean it? Maybe he’s just like that to everyone.
Aalis sana siya kaso hinabol ko siya.
“Ihahatid na kita,” I said.
“Gabi na Sky dito ka nalang and let’s wait for your mom and Dad. Alam naman niya ang daan palabas diba?” I didn’t listen to him. Jetro is my visitor and I should treat him well.
Kuya stopped him because he was about to follow me.
“You can leave,” sabi niya pagkatapos niyang lumabas sa bahay namin.
“No, malayo pa dito yung labas,” may malaki kasi kaming lupa sa harap ng bahay namin. We decided to put our house sa pinakadulo ng lupang to para mas secure.
“I know the way,” edi sige ayaw mapilit eh.
Umalis na siya at bumalik na ako sa loob.
“Sky invite mo ulet si Aj,” kuya Sol said. Seems like they’re friends now.
“Oo nga,” kuya Syl added.
“Of course! Oh diba sabi ko sayo Amber na he’s a good person, you can trust him,” tinaasan niya ako ng kilay.
“He still didn’t take his mask off. If he wears a mask everywhere, he must be hiding something. Let’s just avoid that person Sky,” seriously? After that she still doesn’t trust Jetro?
“You know what, Amber is right. I can tell that he’s pretending to be your friend to kidnap you for ransom. I’ve encountered that kind of situation,” said Luis.
“ They’re rich, why would he kidnap me for that?” I don’t really know why I should avoid Jetro. They’re giving me two invalid reasons.
One is because he’s suspicious for wearing mask everywhere and two is I should avoid him because he’s pretending.
“For your information Amber, I’ve seen him without a mask and he’s a good person, I swear. And also Luis, he’s richer than us combined,” tumango tango sina kuya.
“I agree. He’s also a cool guy,” ani kuya Sol.
“You know what, if you don’t want Sky to be friends with Aj, then we’ll take him as our friend,” I smiled. Thank god my kuya knows Jetro and trusts him.
Bumalik na kami sa taas para manood pa ng isang movie. Luis went near me.
“I never saw you hanging out with another boy unless it’s me,” Is he jealous that I have 2 male friends now?
“I don’t know... I don’t even know if we’re friends but I really really really want him to be my friend so bad,” honestly, I thought having a male friend is weird. I tried to force myself before to make friends with any boy but I just find it wrong and weird.
I don’t know why I want this boy to be my friend. He didn’t even do anything, he just talked to me coldly. It’s like making me feel interested about his life because he’s a mysterious person. It’s not because he’s rich, I can buy whatever I want. And it’s also not because he’s handsome, I’ve seen a lot of handsome people before. I don’t know.
“You have me,” I looked at him.
No Luis it’s not what you think. This feels different. You’re not enough. I still thirst for friendships.
“I don’t know,” I chuckled.
Funny how this weirdo guy made me thirst for his friendship.
I slapped my face.
“What the f**k?” napamura ako when I realized I’m thinking about him too much.
“You good?” he asked. Why am I seeing Jetro’s face in him?
“Ah-eh... There’s a mosquito,” palusot ko, tumawa siya nang mahina.
“What made you want to be his friend? He’s a weird guy,” that’s what everyone says. That he’s a weird guy but he’s actually not.
“I don’t know,” I can’t answer his questions. What is wrong with me?
“You act different when he’s around.”
“I act normal when he’s around what do you mean? Do I act weird or something? Omg, don’t tell me I do. This is so embarrassing,” he looked at me straight into my eyes.
“Stop staring at me! Wala naman akong ginawa diba? Tell me, I can’t remember anything. Do I act childish around him?” I added.
“You keep on ignoring me earlier.”
“No that’s not what you think. If only I can tell you the reason, I would definitely tell you but I can’t,” his father and him treated me very well when I was in their mansion but Jetro said I can’t tell anyone that I went to their mansion.
“Why can’t you tell me?”
“It’s for privacy purposes and he’s a visitor after all. Remember when your dad said treat our visitors well when I made a kid cry before? That’s what I’m trying to say.”
“Am I not a visitor for you? I’m also a visitor,” god bakit kasi hindi niya ako sinabihan na uuwi na pala siya ng Pilipinas ngayon. Now I don’t know how to answer him anymore, I feel bad.
Did I really ignored him? Was I paying too much attention to Jetro?
“Sky do you like him?”he asked.
