Angela wiped Audrey's tears. She is her best friend and the maid of honor on her wedding day. It looks like she was more affected than her. She was crying while they are in the car going to the wedding.
"Stop it. You won't look good on photos,"
"I know. But I don't want you to get hurt. It's the reason why I am crying…"
Angela tapped Audrey's shoulder. "I'm going to be okay."
Audrey stared at her. She shook her head. "You're not just with a heart. You are also confident. You are confidently beautiful with a heart like the Miss Universe Pia Wurthz back---"
"Don't compare. I will never be like a queen like her. I'm just confident because I already accept my destiny. Besides, I don't think it's bad to marry Thorn. He's one of the most eligible bachelors in town. Many are envious of me because he chooses me. He will also be good for our company."
"You can manage your family's company. You are smart."
Angela shook her head... "Mom doesn't believe in me. I don't believe in myself either."

Angela laughed at her friend. She believes that her future husband is not that bad to cage her. They were in an arranged marriage but she already saw Thorn. They have known each other.
Thorn was known as one of the most successful and powerful businessmen in the country. Some say he is ruthless like the most successful businessman. But she didn't feel that way when they are meeting each other. He seems good and gentleman. She felt like he is going to be a good husband.
Angela is already twenty-four. Most girls think about marriage at that time. But not her. Her dream of being married is already gone when her first love hurts her. She doesn't want to love that's why she doesn't want to get married. But this marriage doesn't involve love.
So it's okay.
Besides, this marriage will have a lot of benefits. Her mother needs a rightful man to manage the business... Thorn is the perfect man for that.
Angela is the only daughter of Angelina Lopez. She was the sole heir. But she even admits to herself that she is weak. She cannot handle a big business that her mother had a very hard time to build.
If Angela will get married to Thorn, he will handle the business. And knowing him, he will be good for the business.
Everything will be okay if they will be married. She will make her mother proud. She can do something that she wants.
Audrey accompanies her to get out of the bridal car. The entourage ceremony is already started. It was just she and her mom this time. She will be the one who will accompany her to the altar.
"Thank you, Mom," Angela said before walking.
Angelina Lopez didn't even smile or looked at Angela. And Angela can't help but feel hurt. But she is used to this. What's important for her is that she is on her side on this biggest event of her life. After all, she wanted this.
When the church door opened, Angela forced herself to looked at the big cross at the altar. She prayed on her mind. She wished that she was right that everything will be okay by marrying Thorn.
But after a while, she can't help but look at her groom. Thorn was really handsome. He is dashing on that black tuxedo. Even though she is still a few meters away from him, she can clearly see his good physical aspects. He had black eyes, a high bridge nose, and full lips. He is dark but his skin looks so smooth. He is also tall and has a good body. And when she saw that he smiled while waiting for her, she felt her heart racing.
It's really true. Angela will marry one of the most eligible bachelors in town. She is lucky. But she hopes that it is true that it will all be for the better…
