Chapter 1

I am currently here in my own office. Yes, wala akong ginagawa kundi ang tumulala lang. You can't blame me, the horizon are so beautiful. My decision is perfectly right, na dito gawin at itayo ang kompanya.

O, by the way ako pala si Kim Zia Lee, 27 years old. And a CEO and founder of this company. The "Kim Construction Firm". I am a Civil Engineer in profession. But I really want to build my own company and ta – da ito na s’ya.

I built this company with my friends, and by the help of my parents as well. My parents don't want to help me out at first but ayon naawa din ata sakin. And here it is. Finally done after 2 years of building it. And now malapit na ang anniversary ng pagbubukas nito. And luckily naman maganda naman ang pasok ng project at ng pera. Hindi pa naman nalulugi at napapasahod ko pa naman ng tama yung mga empleyado. That’s why I’m still thankful.

At saka I hired the best employees. They are not perfect but napaka hard working nila. They are so innovative and very efficient.

(knock knock) a loud knock woke me up from my reverie

"Hello, my beautiful and gorgeous daughter" Sabi ni Papa pagpasok niya and then he approached me. "So how's work" tanong nya sabay yakap sa akin then kissed my forehead. Hehe, I will always be my Dad’s princess. His favorite baby. Kaya love na love ko yan e.

" A little bit tiring and nakakapanibago, pero kaya naman. Maraming work na I’m unfamiliar but kaya naman. It is so different from being engineer. But like what I said kaya ko naman. At saka ginusto ko to. Kaya dapat panindigan ko diba, Dad. " sabi ko at asked my father to sit down. "Any drinks or foods Dad? "

" Water lang Princess" sagot ni Dad At nililibot ang paningin sa loob ng office. “You have a great place, I know your Mom will like it as well”

“ Panigurado yun Dad. Mom loves sunset. And this place is really a good place to watch it. “ sagot ko then ordered my secretary to bring a water and snacks. “So what brought you here, Dad?” I asked then sit down as well

“ Wala lang just checking. This is my first time to see the whole place so I grabbed the chance. You know, your father is a really busy person. Na kahit almost a year na mula ng nagbukas to I haven’t seen everything. Bukas I will ask your Mom to go with me here. Haha, baka iwan ako noon, at dito na gustuhin na mag office.”

“So true Dad, kaya matakot ka na iiwanan ka na ni Mom sa office mo. Hahaha” sabi ko then motion my secretary to come in. “Thank you” I replied as she put down the snacks and water.

"I'm so proud of you" Dad said suddenly while smiling proudly. That made me smile as well. " You know what princess, me and your Mom didn't go here for a reason. At yun ay gusto namin makita ka na tumatayo sa sarili mong paa. We want to see you making your dreams come true with your own hardship"

"Haha, si Dad ang drama. But thank you Dad. At saka I can't make it without you two. Kahit na sabihin mo Dad na pinabayaan nyo ako tumayo sa sarili kong paa, I know na nandyan paa rin kayo ni Mommy inaalalayan ako. And I will not be here if not because of you and Mom"

" Ang anak ko ang drama" My Dad said while wiping his eyes that made ne chuckle kasi alam ko na mababaw lang ang luha ni Dad.

“Si Dad ang iyakin.” Asar ko sa kanya.

We continue talking about business and some stuff. Until Dad decided to leave because he have some meetings to attend.

“Hatid ko na kayo Dad sa baba”

“No need Princess, baka may gagawin ka pa. Stay here na lang. Di pa naman ganun katanda ang iyong Daddy para di kayang bumaba mag isa.” Biro nya pa then hug me and kiss my forehead again. At nagtuloy tuloy na nga s’yang lumabas ng office ko. Then suddenly my secretary come in.

“Ma’am, sorry I forget to tell you na may meeting po pala kayo sa isang client. At sa isang restaurant po gustong makipag kita.” My secretary said nervously.

“Anong oras nya gustong makipag kita? And don’t be nervous I’m not mad.”

“ 5:30pm po, kaya meron pa po kayong 45 minutes to get ready. And sa Moonstar Restaurant po”

“We need to hurry and grab the things we need. Malayo – layo yung restaurant na yun. Ako na tatawag sa driver para may mag drive sa atin while we are discussing about the client.” I calmly said then called our company driver na I – ready na ang sasakyan.

I hope na hindi traffic. Para makarating kami on time.

“ Ma’am ready na po yung mga kailangan” my secretary said.

“Ok, baba na tayo. We really need to hurry” I said as we head to the private elevator.

“ Tell me about the client” I asked as we waiting for the lift to reach the parking area.

“ The client is a representative of Clayton Group of Company. The Clayton Group of Company is a well known company from Asia to the other part of the world. Here in the Philippines meron po silang 5 branches in different area po. Namely Real Estate, Resorts, Restaurants, Hotel and Construction materials manufacturing”

“And why did they want to meet me. Why our company?” I asked as the elevator's door open

“They are looking for a company that will do the renovation of their resorts. And I don’t know kung ano pong reason nila. Kasi ako rin po nag – tataka. Marami po d’yan na malalaking firm to do the work at diba po karaniwan we bid for a project.”

“ Kaya nga e, napakalaki ng Clayton Group of Company for us to work for them. Hindi sa minamaliit ko ang company natin pero wala pa tayong 1 year. At hindi ako nag ko – complain ha. Kasi malaking opportunity to for us. But you know hindi mo lang talaga maiwasan na magtanong. At real talk lang kinakabahan ako.” I said nervously then scan the paper my secretary hand me to review. And ask myself bakit ngayon ko lang nalaman ito. This matter is a big opportunity for my company pero bakit parang may mali. Normally this kind of things, dumadaan sa akin and they will let me know about it ahead of time. Pero bakit ngayon, kung kailan ilang minuto na lang nila ipinaalam sa akin.

Bakit hindi maganda ang pakiramdam ko dito.

“Ma’am, bakit hindi po ako mapakali ngayon. I have a bad feeling for this.” My secretary said exactly what is on my mind.

“Nandito na po tayo Ma’am” our driver said then park the car and open the door for us.

“This is it” bulong kong sabi. At binuksan ang pintuan ng room na naka – reserve for us.
