I didn't expect that we will drive thru on the way.
"Ohh magpapa-burger si Enrique!" I announce making them laugh at me.
"Dude ngayon lang yan!" tawa ni Jem.
Make Enrique groan on us feeling helpless.
"I love you na Enrique!" I cheered. Tegan laughs held me closer and dropped his hand on my expose legs.
I glance at him and saw him staring outside the window where the crew is a man.
"Girls, ako lang to ako lang!" sakay ni Enrique makes me smile. I fixed my shoulder bag on my laps.
"Di lubos-lubusin na natin to ano?" tawa ni Kuya Lenuel.
We all agreed and orders.
"Masarap talaga ang libre... Thanks ricks!" I said unwrapping the burger.
Enrique dramatically opens his wallet.
"I feel like you robbed all my cash. Bente na lang andito.." Tango nya.
Natatawang inagaw ko yun at binulatlat but stop when I saw a picture. He let me rob his wallet, yet he didn't even mind seeing this picture.
I saw Tegan glance at me sipping his coke. Pa-sekreto kung pinakita sa kanya ang picture and mouth to him a word. He raises his brow to me as I nod at him.
Napapatikhim na sinara ko ang wallet at binalik sa dashboard.
"You have enough pa kaya." ngisi ko taking a bite on my burger.
"Anyway, kailan ka magkaka boyfriend?" tawa nya bigla making me stop chewing.
"Oo nga, kailan?" singit ni Jem sa pagitan namin with her teasing eyes. I even saw her taking glance at Tegan who's listening to me.
"Pag 40 na daw sya." singit ni Kuya.
"Iwan ko, malay. Kailangan ko bang bilhin yun? Parang ang dali lang ah!" asik ko sa dalawa at ngumunguyang uminom ng coke.
"What the heck! You know sometimes I wonder why if someone will like you Love. I never even heard names on your mouth for years. Tao ka ba?" tawa ni Enrique.
"Tanong ko din yan Ricks.!" dagdag ni Jem.
"Tegan, they're pressuring me!" lingon ko kay Tegan na natatawa lang sa amin.
"Hoyy Ako Kuya mo!" asik ni Kuya.
"Solve your love problems first Kuya." I said like it's a fact.
"Burn!" Enrique exclaims while Jemaine is awkwardly laughing at us.
"Hmm. His pursuing her again" Tegan commented making me shriek to death and Enrique laugh out loud.
We were chaos that day.
We just enjoy strolling around and talks and laughs.
Kaya pag uwi ay lantang gulay ako. Even Jemaine didn't last and sleep in the back seat with Kuya.
"Dito ka na lang matulog Ricks?" aya ko habang binubuksan ni Tegan ang pinto ng sasakyan.
"I can't love, hinihintay ako nila Tatay." ngiti nya sa akin.
I sigh.
"Sige, ingat na lang sa pag drive please. Tawag ka Hmm." saad ko habang inaabot ang leeg nya para umakap.
"You didn't change Joey. Of course, I will love... You'll pestering me if not." he let me hug him and he kiss my forehead.
Inalalayan akung bumaba ni Tegan habang pilit akung lumilingon kay Enrique.
"You know, his worth it." turo ko sa mukha ni Enrique, he stops waving at me and his smile slowly faded.
Tegan stops held me out and dropped his hand on my back waist.
"His always worth it for you Ricks. Come on! Live a little." palakpak ko like trying to cheer him up. He finally smiles to me but it sad.
"He has a life already Love." he said before starting the engine.
Natahimik ako at tinitigan lang ang side view ni Enrique. Tegan slowly pushes the door close and had a single wave to him. He smiles on us lastly before driving away.
Iniwan nya kaming nakatayo sa harap ng bahay habang nasa likod ko si Tegan at nakaalalay sa akin. I saw Kuya Lenuel carrying Jemaine going inside.
I sigh sleepily rub my eyes. Madaling araw na kasi.
Ang lamig ng gabi at init na nagmumula kay Tegan ay mas lalong nagpapaantok sa akin.
"Let's sleep." he softly said tugging me in on his arms.
"I hate those two..." garalgal kung sabi rubbing both of my eyes. He just hmmm at me.
"They always complicated love." natatawa kung sabi habang napapatingala sa kanya.
His side face illuminating the light around while the other side was dim a bit but still, he has this gorgeous face.
I sigh.
"Di ba pwedeng pag mahal kita, yun na yun. Ano kung masakit? Mahal kita eh, pero bat andali nilang sumuko? It's so scary." I murmur looking down.
"Let's rest." he whispered intertwining my hand to his. Walang salitang sumunod na lang ako.
I woke up in the middle of the night feeling a bit cold, a body steer on my side and tug me closer. I turn around and feel my feet numb, kind of heavy. I groan trying to set up. Pinupulikat ako. Is it because we walk for too long? Ahh. I should exercise this month.
"What is it?" the hoarse voice said, getting up with me. Towering me with the dim light inside my room.
"My feet" ngiwi ko taking off the comforter around me but he moves on end of the bed and reach my feet.
"Don't touch it. Don't touch please" ngiwi ko habang namamaos.
He did what I said.
"What should I do for it?" he kneels on the bed watching me. I feel sleepy and he looks like waking up fresh.
"Elevate. I need a pillow." I said, he reaches his pillow and slowly but it under my feet.
I silently thank him laying down once again. Tumabi sya sa akin, I give him a share of my pillow while I sigh.
"Is it too painful?" he asks. I felt his hot breath on my chin and my neck. I felt his arm rest on my stomach.
I nod.
"I'm not used of walking so much... I'm fine in a minute." I said tapping his arm on stomach.
"You should tell me." he whispered.
I smile turning a bit to face him. I saw him his jaw and ear as I felt his side face on me.
"Just sleep." I said closing my eyes.
Umusog pa sya sa akin ng kaunti bago huminga ng malalim.
I woke up with my alarm clock. Tegan is still sleeping. I push his arms and replace a pillow on it before getting up and turn off the clock. Wala ang pulikat ko and I take a shower early, I won't go to work today at maglilibot lang ako mamaya sa hacienda, dahil taniman pa at ang mga trabahador namin ay maalaga kaya wala namang problema. I just want to check their healths and the land of course.
Tulog pa rin si Tegan ng lumabas ako. I just let him be. Going out with my wet hair. I got my key, pouch and phone. I was browsing my phone when my calendar pop up.
I smile when a reminder of someone's birthday today.
"Mang Pedring's birthday hmm."
I excitedly call the maids early. Agad din silang kumilos ng matandaan ang araw ngayon. Maaga pa lang ay nag handa na kami sa bulwagan at nagsabit ng party flags and banner on the wall near the dining table.
Pinamalengke ko si May at Amy, habang katulong ko naman sa pag aayos sila Denise and Len the other maids here.
Mang Pedring doesn't have any relatives anymore except his one brother who's in manila with also his family. Sya na lang ang nandito at nagta-trabaho sa amin for a decade now.
He woke up early, but I always call him if I wanted him to drive for me while his also have part of land that he manages here in our hacienda.
"What's happening?" baba ni Jemaine looking at the decoration. Quarter to 7 na but I choose to make it darker because Mang Pedring always been a fan of disco settings, with a small speakers and Disco lights. Now we have the dance floor ready.
"Mang Pedring's birthday." I said excited for the old man. Jemaine nod smiling and help me to the kitchen.
We become busy after Amy and May arrive. We we're in the middle of preparation when Kuya Lenuel rang on the hall.
"Am I in a 19s? What's this?!"
Natatawang lumabas ako habang napapailing na lang si Jemaine.
"Good morning! We have a celebration" irap ko habang papalapit at natatawa sa kanya. We can see in the dark because of the disco lights.
"Whose birthday?" he reaches to kiss my head. I got him a party hat. He just let be. Kuya Lenuel has always been a party goer. Kahit children's party pa yan.
"Mang Pedring's" tawa ko.
"Oh Wow! party party in the morning, I like it!" he laughs out loud going to the kitchen.
Tegan woke up exactly in 9 and mostly got his self a frightened because of the settings.
I was watching him the whole time, umalis ako sa kitchen because I don't want to see Kuya pursuing my bestfriend in front of me.
"You look lost Sir." I teased making him laugh at me. I was in my apron.
I tiptoe on him putting the party hat.
"What's this?" he asked laughingly touching the party hat.
"Were having a birthday party. Come on take your breakfast first. Mamaya pang 11 start ng party." I said putting him to the kitchen.
Nagkagulatan pa sila ni Kuya ng makitang may parihas silang suot na party hat makes them both laugh.
"Just eat you two." tulak ko kay Tegan papuntang stall.
"They are both gate crusher. Wala kayong regalo kay Mang Pedring" tuya ni Jemaine.
"We never expected this. Ano bang gusto ni Mang Pedring? Sasakyan? Bahay? Lupa? Name it!" sigunda ni Kuya Lenuel.
Agad akung sumimangot sa kanya. What a jerk. Tegan smile at my reaction. Even Jemaine wants to chop his head off.
"Mang Pedring wants a lifetime partner Kuya, and I think you can't give him what he wants because you didn't have lover either." pasaring ko smirking at him making him glare at me.
"Ikaw nga wala eh!" asik nya.
I proudly put my hand on my hip.
"Excuse me brother' your sister may be don't have any boyfriend but she still has admirers and suitors. Kung gugustuhin ko, makukuha ko. That's that." I said gesturing my hand like pointing a fact.
Jemaine cheer at me and clapping.
"Don't tell me nanliligaw pa rin yung anak ng gobernador dito?! Pati yung anak ng kapitan? Kahit yung may ari ng malaking hotel dito?! Yahh, Addict yung isa dun sa mga manliligaw mo ah!"natigil si Jemaine at nagtatanong ang mga mata sa akin. Even Tegan has a serious look already.
Napapatikhim na binaba ko ang kamay ko at pinagpagan ang apron na wala namang dumi.
"Wala na yun okay, matagal na.. Well, remember Javon, Mr. Ignacio and Mr. Del Cano, we renew a contract to them as a supplier of corns and pineapples, the production is huge so yeah, we meet often" I said with a sweet smile.
"As in Franco Luis Del Cano? The hunk man in suitcase! A f*****g lawyer, Yung na picturan na tumutulong sa mga OFW abroad with his own money? A bachelor man with a beautiful body and intelligent heart?! Nanliligaw sayo!?" tili ni Jemaine making me excited as well.
"Yes! I can't even believe that I've meet him that day without knowing that he’s a man with a suitcase, and now his sending me a lot of flowers!" tawa ko. Agad akung binatukan ni Jemaine.
"Anong flowers?! May flower farm ka kaya! Ano yun?" simangot nya.
I sigh "Yun nga eh, sayang sana" I said dropping my smile.
"Wala pala yang manliligaw mo" tawa ni Kuya habang umuupo sa tabi ni Tegan na tahimik na kumakain.
"Ikaw nga, ni hindi mo man lang mabigyan si Jem ng bulaklak, my gosh Kuya ang kuripot lang" pasaring ko getting a hit from Jemaine who turn around and go back to the sink. Natatawa na lang akung lumapit sa tabi ni Tegan.
"FYI Jemaine don't like flowers, you know it" depensa ni Kuya trying to small his big voice.
"Huh but Vito always buys her a huge one" I said whispering and leaning close to Tegan side. Kuya lean close and glare at me.
"She likes it?" he whispered; I nod blocking my mouth side using my palm.
"She even brags it every time, I give you a discount of the flowers 50% off Kuya, hindi ka na lugi nun" tango ko. Tegan begins to laugh with our predicament while Kuya roll his eyes to me.
What? I give him choices though.
