RYLE'S POV

"Z-zeni."

I don't want to close my eyes and open it to see if she'd still be there. I don't want to punch myself to know if I were sleeping. And I don't want to wipe my tears in my eyes because I'm afraid that the moment I'd do that I'll never get the chance to see her again. The thought of losing her again. It scares me.  Tell me I am not dreaming. Tell me this is reality. Tell me she's real. Tell me.

Ah this is harder than I thought. This kind of feeling whenever I see her. I missed those feelings. These various  emotions that I've been hiding for so many years. It's coming out now. But I still refuse to believe that she's here. What if it's not real? This isn't a sweet nightmare right?

"Hey, those tears wipe it off. It's annoying."

Napalunok ako ng marinig ko ulit ang boses niya. I can hold her, right? Kung lalapitan ko siya ngayon, hindi siya mawawala diba?

"Seeing you in pain, Ryle. My heart is tearing itself. It hurts."

She said coldly. Bakit hindi siya lumalapit sa akin? Z-zeni please come closer to me. Please let me hold you and tell me everything. I'll listen!

"Don't make me laugh , Zeni. You don't have a heart. And stop acting like you're in pain. You don't know emotions. Ever since you were always faking them. You can't feel anything at all. Natigilan ako sa sinabi ni Zenile. Hindi pa rin ako makakilos. Nakatitig lang ako kay Zeni na wala pa ring emosiyong nakatingin sakin.

Walang ganang tugon ni Zeni.

"Why did you comeback? You should've died!"

Tanong ni Zenile na umiiyak na.

"I came back for him."

Sagot ni Zeni na kinabigla ko. So this is reality.

"Ang kapal ng mukha mo Zeni! You're the one who left him without a word so give him to me. Ah I remember he wasn't even yours!"

Sigaw ni Zenile.

"Tch. Hindi kita maintindihan, Zenile. 5 years akong tulog pero ngayon mo lang naisipang landiin siya. Tanga ka ba?"

T-tulog?

"f**k you and your existence! It's sickening! We're not done yet Zenith! Believe me, I'll do everything in my power to get that guy! He's mine. MINE and MINE ALONE! "

Bago pa ako makalapit kay Zeni lumabas na si Zenile sa opisina at pabagsak na sinara ang pinto.

"Zeni!"

I unconsciously called her name saka niyakap siya ng sobrang higpit. I can't let her go. I might die if she'd disappear again....

"Ryle, masyadong mahigpit yakap mo."

I didn't listen to her and hugged her even  tighter.

"Tell me everything. But only the truth. I don't care how ugly or bad that truth is. I'll listen to you. Please, Zeni. Tell me."

I pleaded between my sobs. She sighed heavily and hugged me back.

"Sure I'll tell you everything you wanted to know. But lemme tell you this first. I am incapable of falling in love. "

Mas lalong humigpit ang pagkakayakap ko sa kanya. Gusto kong magalit ngunit hindi ko magawa.

"Feelings are volatile and cannot be trusted. That's how I see them. I can't trust your feelings and I don't understand them. Zenile was right. I don't understand emotions. I don't have them. I only faked them. And I can't give you  the type of love that you deserved but I can give you absolute loyalty. Just tell me -"

Bago pa niya tapusin ang sasabihin niya. I sealed her lips with mine.

"Zeni, I love you."

I don't care if you can't love me back or you don't love me as much as I love you. As long as you stay with me. Your feelings don't matter anymore. This is me getting greedier. Prepare yourself, Zeni. For the best and for the worst. I am not the same Ryle Ragas you knew  five years ago.

ZEUS'POV

"Gusto ko mang chix ng marami ngayon sa sobrang saya ko. Gising na si Boss, nagkita na ulit sila Ryle. Tangina men happy ever after na ba ito?"

Sinamaan ako ng tingin ni Poseidon dahil sa sinabi niya.

"Bro, Mahal mo daw ako?"

Seryoso kong tanong sa kanya. Mas lalong pumanget pagmumukha niya sa sobrang sama na ng tingin niya sakin.

"Ayusin mo mga desisyon mo sa buhay kung ayaw mo pang mamatay."

Tugon niya na pilit ginagaya  ang boses at typical expression ni Boss Zeni sa mukha. Pareho kaming napatawa at napatigil ng biglang magsalita si Boss sa likuran namin.

"Keep it up and you will be a strangest smell in the attic."

Nagsitayuan balahibo ko sa katawan ng sinabi ni Boss iyon. Nasa harapan na namin siya. Kasama si Ryle na parang lintang nakaakbay sa kanya. Landi ampota.

"S-sorry Boss."

Halos hindi ko na marinig ang sinabi ni Poseidon sa sobrang hina. Nautal ang gago. Ngingisihan ko sana siya ng aksidente kong masalubong ang nakamamatay na tingin ni Boss sakin. Napalunok ako at napayuko. Parang mga tuta kaming dalawa na pinapagalitan ng amo.

"Tawagan niyo si Hades. Gusto ko makita ang bata."

Na estatwa ako bigla sa sinabi ni Boss. Hindi ko magawang magsalita. Ganun din si Poseidon. Parang nabuhusan kami ng tubig na nagyeyelo.

"What do you mean, Zeni?"

Kinakabahang tanong ni Ryle. Nawala lahat ng sigla niya sa katawan. Parang hindi rin nag exist ang magandang ngiti niya kanina. Naglaho lahat ng emosiyon ni Ryle sa mukha. Kakaiba na rin ang tingin niya kay Boss, para bang gusto niyang ikulong si Boss sa sa hawala ora mismo. Ngumisi naman si Boss na kinasigh namin ni Poseidon. ‘Boss please magbago ka na, iba na si Ryle ngayon.’ I pleaded silently.

"Ryle, which answer do you want to hear? The Ugly truth or the beautiful lie?"
