I remembered my teacher before discussing about the anatomy of a human body but never in my entire life would I want to see an actual, real model. Pakiramdam ko ay babaliktad ang buong sikmura ko sa nakikita ko ngayon. In front of us were frozen bodies of familiar faces, standing in a coffin-like freezer. They were like dolls—stitched in different parts of their body which is almost pale white with some random purplish spots. Napatakip ako ng ilong ko dahil sa kung anong amoy na umiikot sa buong kwarto. There was a mixture of a sickly-sweet butchershop odor and some chemical—probably a formaline, something I had never sniffed before. In the center was a big metal table, and even though I haven’t taken a single step towards it, I’m sure that the stains all over its surface were all blood.
