Chapter Seventeen

Walang mapagsidlan ang saya ko sa sumunod na tatlong linggo. Napadalas na ang pagsundo ni Leyton sa akin sa hospital at school at malapit na rin akong matapos sa internship duty ko. Isang buwan nalang at ga-graduate na ako.

"Want to come with me to Japan next weekend, Kitten?" kaswal na tanong ni Leyton habang nagbibihis kami matapos naming maligo.

It became our thing. He likes to take showers together a lot. He likes waking me up with his tongue between my legs. He also likes to wrap his hand on my hand while using it to to make himself c*m. He likes watching me a lot, too. And I love it.

I love it when he looks at me like I'm the only thing he sees. I love it when he stares at my face everytime he gives me an o****m. I love it when when he watches me take care of my vegetables. And I especially love it when I end up on my back on the dirt as he kissed me like he couldn't get enough. We would both end up looking like children who played in the mud but we both don't care.

Parang alam na din nila manang kung kelan kami nasa garden. They always made sure to stay out of our way and I love the sense of privacy that we have even with them in the house.

"Japan? I don't think I have a visa," sagot ko.

May passport ako pero ang alam ko, kelangan ng visa ang Japan.

"Then we'll get one," simpleng sagot niya.

"Within a week?" tanong ko. Ang alam ko ay medyo matagal ang process 'non at may mga kelangan pang ipasa na documents.

Tumawa siya. "It's as if you don't you who you're married to, Kitten. I can make anything possible," nakangising sabi niya at hinalikan ang tungki ng ilong ko.

He's not wrong, though. I still don't know a lot about him. Hindi ko pa lubos na nauunawan kung bakit niya ako pinakasalan.

Napatigil ako sa pag-iisip nang simimulan niya akong halikan sa leeg.

"Ley," bahagyang protesta ko. Ilang beses na akong na-late dahil sa kanya.

I gasped when he inserted one finger into my v****a.

"Always so wet for me, wife. So tight," he groaned while he pushed his finger in and out.

He gave me a bruising kiss after I came. "I can't wait to f**k your little p***y," he whispered in my ear, making my skin hot.

"Why haven't you?" tanong ko sa kanya.

We always came close, especially when he rubbed our naked bodies together but he always stopped. And I want it to happen. I have been waiting for it to happen.

"I will, soon. I'm going to make it special, baby," he promised.

I kissed him goodbye before going out of the car and went to the hospital.

Hindi na ako nahintay ni Sonia dahil male-late din siya kapag ginawa niya yun.

Nakahanda na ang sorry ko nang dumating ako sa nurse station.

Agad na nakita ko si Sonia na nakatayo sa gilid ng nurse station at may hawak na bouqet ng bulaklak.

"Oh wow, sino nagpadala sa'yo ng bulaklak?" nakangiting bungad ko sa kanya.

Tumingin siya sa'kin at umiling. "It's for you. Again," binigyan niya ako ng nababahalang tingin.

Kunot-noong kinuha at binasa ko ang note sa bulaklak.

'Have a nice day, Kittycat. See in the OR.'

"Some nurses have been asking if something is going on between you and De Cruz," sabi ni Sonia. "Hindi rin nakakatulong na laging ikaw ang nirerequest niya to scrub in for major operations. A lot of students have noticed and they think it's unfair, Tin," dagdag niya.

My eyes widened. "Son, you-"

Umiling siya at napatawa ng bahagya. "Gaga, syempre except for me. You already know I enjoy everything else I've been doing. Pero nakakabahala na kasi yung mga flowers. Pang ilan na ba 'to? I know you told me he was your friend but does he know that? Baka alam niya na siya ang first puppy love mo?" bulong niya.

The flowers started the day after the open heart surgery. I thought it was cute when he left a lone sunflower in my locker with a note that said, 'Great job in the OR today'

But that one flower became a bouquet of flowers as the weeks progressed. Tama si Sonia para mag-alala. Leyton wouldn't appreciate a man giving me flowers.

Umiling ako. "It was a childish crush and that was a long time ago. Isa pa, kasal na ako. I really don't like my husband to know about this," nababahalang sabi ko.

"Hindi niya alam?" gulat na tanong ni Sonia.

I gave her a look. "You think hahayaan niya akong magpatuloy mag duty kung alam niya? He'd go ballistic."

Sonia chewed on her lip and stared at me. "I think kelangan mo siyang sabihan. If what you said about his friend owning this hospital is true, then he's going to know about this sooner or later," sabi niya.

Umiling ako. "Not if Mitch stops. I'll talk to him," saad ko.

I'd rather have an awkward conversation with Mitchell than make Leyton angry. Lalo na ngayon na maayos na ang pagsasama namin. I can't bear the though of fighting with him.

Pumunta ako sa office ni Mitch pagka noon break.

"Hey, there Kittycat," nakangiting bungad niya. "Excited for your first heart transplant surgery later?"

Binigyan ko siya ng tipid na ngiti.

"You have to choose someone else, I can't do it," sabi ko.

"What? Why? Akala ko ba ito ang hinihintay mong operation?" kunot-noong sabi niya.

That's true but I have to put a stop to all the rumors and I certainly don't want to be unfair to my classmates. I have been unfair and it pains me to learn that I just realized it.

"You have to give a chance to other student nurses," sabi ko. "And you need to stop giving me flowers, Mitch," diretsong sabi ko sa kanya.

"Are they saying anything to you? Are they bullying you?" sunod-sunod na tanong niya.

Umiling ako. "No, but I want you stop because my husband wouldn't like it. At ayokong mali ang isipin niya. Ayokong mag-away kami," I said in a vulnerable tone.

His gaze softened. "I'm sorry, that's not my intention," he sighed. "I guess I just...I like you, Tin. I always liked you when you were a teenager but I was so much older than you."

"I liked you too," sagot ko at namilog ang mata niya. "I crushed on you because you were kind and so attentive to Karina. But that's all in the past and I'm married now. And I..I really like my husband," namumulang sabi ko.

"You don't love him?" nagtatakang tanong niya.

Napabuntong-hininga ako. I don't want to discuss it with him and never will.

"Listen, Mitch. I want to remain as friends but I want all the flowers and special treatment to stop."

He nodded. "Sure, Kittycat. Sorry kung naging uncomfortable ka," parang napapahiyang sabi niya.

I chuckled. "The flowers were over the top but yeah, let's remain friends? I want to still be friends with the future best thoracic surgeon in the country."

Tumawa siya. "I already am."

I was more at ease during the next hours knowing that I already cleared the air with Mitch.

Pinili niya ang running for cumlaude kong kaklase na si Diane para mag scrub in sa heart transplant.

I spent the rest of my shift assisting post-operation patients and there was one patient who had bladder issues and he peed all over me as I was about to insert a catheter for him.

Tawang-tawa na iniwasan ako ni Sonia nang lumapit ako sa kanya. Buti nalang at hindi ako natalsikan sa mukha. At buti nalang at may dalang extra clothes si Sonia at pinagamit ako ni Mitch ng banyo sa office niya.

He had a small room with a small bed and shower as a perk of being a resident surgeon.

I took a quick half bath, making sure to scrub myself clean.

Tinawag ko si Sonia nang ma realize ko na naiwan ko sa loob ng kama ang mga damit niya na gagamitin ko.

"Son?" mahinang tawag ko.

I rinsed my body and decided to go out of the bathroom with a towel wrapped around my body.

Sabay kaming natigilan ni Mitch. His eyes was as big as mine. Agad na napatayo siya galing sa pagkakaupo sa kama.

"s**t, kittycat. Akala ko kanina ka pa tapos at wala ng tao dito," natatarantang sabi niya at iniwas ang mata sa nakatapis kong katawan. "I'll go out," anunsiyo niya.

He opened the door to go out but someone blocked him on his way out.

My heart dropped to my stomach. The situation suddenly felt like a horror movie.

The tall and imposing body of my husband filled the door frame as he looked at Mitch and then looked at me, his eyes immediately darkened in a barely controlled fury as he saw me wearing nothing but a towel.

I started to shake as I understood what the situation looked like in his eyes.

Sunod-sunod ang pag-iling ko at nagmamakaawa ang mata na tiningnan siya. "Leyt-"

He didn't let me finish because he grabbed Mitchell by the neck, catching him off guard and punched him hard on the face.

"s**t," daing ni Mitch.

Leyton didn't wait for him to recover as he punched him again and again.

"Leyton, please please stop!" naghihisterikal na sigaw ko sa kanya.

My eyes widened when my husband spotted a scalpel and reached for it going for Mitchell's hands. My husband was about to ruin Mitch's career and life work.

Oh god, no, no, no.

I didn't think twice as I jumped on top of Leyton and his hand released the scalpel due to the distraction.

It was enough for Mitchell to stand up. Leyton's body was shaking in anger, still not satisfied with seeing Mitch's bloody face.

Hinawakan niya ako sa beywang para igilid para lapitan ulit si Mitch pero aksidenteng nasagi ng kamay niya ang pagkakapulupot ng towel sa katawan ko.

His eyes registered the panic on my face and he grabbed my body and pinned me to the corner to hide my naked form from Mitch's eyes.

Walang sabi sabing hinubad ni Leyton ang suot niyang jacket at pinasuot sa akin.

"What the hell? Who are you?" galit na tanong ni Mitch.

Leyton's murderous eyes glared at him. "Get the f**k out!"

Mitch was about to say something when Kai appeared at the door with some guards behind him.

Agad na napasiksik ako sa dingding.

Kai's eyes scanned through the room, his eyes flared slightly in understanding. He gestured for the guards to escort Mitch out.

Tumingin siya kay Leyton. "Ley, you should think before-"

"Leave us," Leyton told him in a grave tone and his friend shook his head before closing the door and leaving us.

Leyton's body left mine as he paced the room back and forth, fisting his hair.

"I-It's not what it looks like," umiiyak na sabi ko.

His eyes flew to me and I would never forget the rage and betrayal on his face.

"What is it then?" he was on me before I can blink, "Because it looks like you have been letting him f**k you here, wife," he gritted out.

Sunod-sunod na umiling ako. "Please..Ley..." hindi na ako makapagsalita ng maayos dahil hagulhol ko.

"You think I didn't know about the flowers and the f*****g surgery exposures he's been giving you, Kitten? All for what? To f**k you? Answer me!" sigaw niya.

"No, no, no..."

"I was so f*****g wrong to trust you," his voice sent chills to my bones.
