ANNIKA'S POV
We were sitting in the dining room together with Mom and Jade who had just woken up and were surprised to see Caspian. There was an awkward silence that filled the air with none of us speaking, each trying to feel each other's presence. Mom eyed me, her eyes filled with obvious curiosity, but she didn't say a word. It also didn't help that Jade was looking at me with a wide grin on her face as if she was telling me that she was right.
