ANNIKA'S POV
Mom's words had distracted me. I was caught off guard, and now, I couldn't help but to dwell on it. Remembering what happened last night, I realized that I had let my anger get the best of me. I hadn't been rational. I didn't even give him the benefit of the doubt. I simply accused him based on what I perceived of the image that was sent to me. But. . .on the other hand, I know I had every reason to doubt him. And that the feelings I had last night -- the jealousy, anger, betrayal and pain -- were all valid.
Ever since Juliette was back, I know they've been spending time together. Especially now that I'm no longer working in the company, it was so easy for her to manipulate things to do her bidding. To Caspian, it may just be friendly dates, but I know it means a lot to Juli
