The Truth and The Lie

Chapter Ten

"Good morning!" Ami greeted Nicole when she wake up. It was almost ten in the morning. She can't remembered what time she fall asleep last night because she tossed and tossed around here bed. Ami is having a bread and coffee in the kitchen. She looked everywhere. "Looking for someone?" Ami asked.

"Nope!" Nicole lied shaking her head. "Im just stretching my neck. It was quit pain and my head too," she replied massaging it.

"Well, JongHyeop went already to the coffee shop. He said, he need money to buy his personal things, so I let him work for us." Ami explained.

"Okay." Nicole nodded. She sat down beside Ami. She snatched Ami bread and she bite it with confidence and she drink her coffee too. Nicole almost choked because the coffee was so sweet "What's this?" Nicole asked. "Why is your coffee so sweet?" She asked making a frown face at her.

"Well, because the sweetness is going to come out soon." Ami answered with a smile.

"What do you mean?" Nicole being confused." What sweetness are you talking? Are you sick? Have your brain got to much sugar?"

"Well, I need to find out something. But I can't tell you right now." Ami said being honest. "And before I forgot, I lend to him your jogging pants, lose t-shirt, and your hoodie too. JongHyeop doesn't have any clothes to wear so, I borrow your clothes." Ami said.

"What?" She shouted. "Without my permission! How could you do this?" Nicole said in disbelief.

"Well, I know you will also allow him to use your clothes. And beside, he is your ex, right?" Ami said pretending to be cool.

"What?" Nicole said shaking her head. "Are you crazy? He is not my ex?" She got being paranoid. after hearing what Ami said. "No. I will never fall Inlove to a homeless devil even he is the last man standing on Earth."

"Then who is JongHyeop to you? Is he not your ex? Not your childhood crush? But a Devil from hell, huh."

"Yes. He is just a devil from hell. And nothing less and nothing more." Nicole replied pouting her lips.

Ami shaked her head. "Both of you are lying to me." She said being sad.

"Why should I lie?" Nicole said. She doesn't know how to explain it to Ami. How is she going to convince Ami to believe her that JongHyeop is really a devil from hell? She felt a little bit sad and guilty too. How is she going to convince her about that?

"Well, how did you ended drunk last night?" Ami said changing their topics. "JongHyeop carries you back home. Do you remembered that?"

"Uhm...well, I remembered." Nicole said sipping again the coffee in front of he even it taste so sweet.

"How about the other night?" Ami asked her with a winked. "Like, something thrilling that happened?"

Nicole got confused again. She bite the bread on her hand. "No, I can't." She replied shaking her head.

"Uhm, you don't remembered anything?" Ami asked again. "Like you don't remembered the blanket?" She said.

"What blanket?" Nicole asked back. "Tell me? What happened that night? Stop being a suspense story teller."

"You really can't remembered?" Ami keep on repeating.

Nicole hit Ami for being annoying. "How many times did I answered you I can't remember." She said being pissed.

Ami laughed and said ouch too with that hit. "Actually, I saw you two hugging." Ami said giggling." You are on top of JongHyeop and you are almost kissing each other."

"What?" Nicole said in disbelief. "What hugging are you talking about?" She asked being confused. "What on top of him? No. Never!"

"Well, with the blanket?" Ami said. She was laughing so loud that Nicole got pissed again. And she hit Ami again on her shoulder.

"Stop laughing!" Nicole shouted being annoyed. "Did we really hugged each other?" Nicole asked just wanted to be sure.

"Am..yes. That's why I'm asking you some questions. Who is JongHyeop to you? Because you are so closed to him." Ami explained.

"He's nothing to me." Nicole said being honest too. "We are not ex or something," she replied.

"He's nothing to you, huh?" Ami said in disbelieve. "Then why the other night, you and him hugging?"

"It was an accident." Nicole lied. But the truth is she really can't remembered what happen that night.

"You fall to him in an accident?" Ami said with a high-brows.

"Yes!" Nicole said in a loud voice. "Why are you suddenly so annoying?" She said.

"He is not your ex, so you two are dating?" Ami asked while making her two fingers being closed together. Showing to her that JongHyeop and her was on a relationship.

Nicole frowned at her best friend. "What do you really want to know?"

"The truth." Ami replied to her.

"We are not dating okay," she said with a sighed. "So stop being paranoid. And I can't tell you the reason right now. We should be stable first."

"Okay then," she said nodding. "So can I date him?" Ami asked her in a thrilling voice.

"What?" Nicole said in disbelief.

"Why not? He is single and I'm single too." Ami said smiling.

"Whatever!" Nicole said with a side-eye. She stand up where she was sitting. She excused herself to Ami. "I'm going to have a shower," she said not looking back to her best friend.

"Wait!" Ami shouted but Nicole run fast to her room and she quickly locked the door. Ami keep knocking outside. "Hey Babe! Open the door! Open it!" She said shouting. but Nicole just ignore her.

"Never!" Nicole shouted back in a loud voice.

"If you won't open the the door it means, you are allowing me to date your Devil!" Ami said laughing.

"Go! Date him!" Nicole shouted back too.

"Okay! I love you!" Ami said.

Nicole make a sighed. Ami stopped knocking at the door. She sat down at the edge of her bed. And she lay down to rest her back. She stares at the ceiling of her room full of stars stickers that glows in the dark. She love the sky. That's why her ceiling has a stars and color blue. Nicole makes a sighed again. She don't want think anything, anymore cause it feels exhausted for her. She closed her eyes making a exhale-inhale breathing.

She wanted to tell Ami the exact reason why JongHyeop is with them but she still don't have the courage to say it to her. She's a little bit scared. And what if Ami got angry at her? What if they will fight for having a misunderstanding? What if Ami will not understand her and won't listen to her? So many what if... She is really concern what will happen to Ami if she will found out the truth. She love Ami too that she doesn't what to hurt her feelings.

Nicole heard a knocked. She quickly get up thinking it was Ami again. But to her surprised it was JongHyeop.

"W...what are you doing here?" She asked in mumbled. And why her throat suddenly felt dry. And her legs suddenly can't move. Her heart is thumping crazy again with JongHyeop appearance. Her heart beat so fast that she can't control it. JongHyeop was staring her and Nicole was staring at those beautiful eyes too.

JongHyeop get closer to her. Nicole walked backward but JongHyeop keep walking too to more closer at her. Nicole fell at the bed with JongHyeop. Nicole can't breath properly. She wanted to pushed JongHyeop away but she don't have any strength to do it.

Nicole closed her eyes. Maybe I was just dreaming. She said in her thoughts. But, no it's not. She can really feel the warm body of JongHyeop on top of her. Nicole tried to calmed herself. She slowly opened her eyes. She saw JongHyeop smiling at her. She need to wake herself. She need too. JongHyeop touched her face.

Nicole wanted to melt and disappear in an. She wanted to stop him but her body felt frozen like the first time when she saw JongHyeop golden eyes. She can't move at all. She can't.
