Chapter 16

Franki's POV What!? Kiss in the lips!? Really!? This bodyguard is too demanding!! This is my fault! I didn't listen to Diana when she said that this restaurant is only for couple! Now! I'm going to kis-- My thoughts suddenly got lulled when Diana kissed me. Our lips touch for a second time around. And I feel like I was electrified that I can't move my body or even say a word. It only lasts for about three seconds but it feels like a thousand years. A thousand years of satisfaction. Because I feel satisfied by the touch of her lips. I know, that this time, it is not merely an accident like what happened last last night when she was drunk. Today, it is intentional but doleful to say that it's only needed. But what if it's not? My heart will surely jump for joy if she kiss me wholeheartedly, not only for the sake of needs. Of the rule to get outta here. "Yun naman pala eh! Nagkiss din eh. Dami pang arte" The bodyguard said in contentment. "Oh, eto na, pwede na kayong lumabas." He added while he opens the exit door for us. Diana went out first and left me here. What? Did she already forgot me? Or maybe she's feeling bad because of the kiss? Of this stupid rule. I went out also and chased her. But I didn't expect that she was waiting for me out. "I didn't think you'll be waiting for me anymore. I thought that you're mad at me." I said to her not meeting her eyes. I'm ashamed of myself because of what was happened earlier. I knew that it was against to her, but she did it anyway, just to get us out. "No, I'm not. So? Let's go back to the hotel now?" She asks me while smiling. She is not mad me? I just nod at her but I didn't expect that she will going to hold my hand. I just smiled secretly hoping that this wonderful night wouldn't end. ___________________________________ "Diana, where are we going?"  I asked her while we're walking towards the corner of the street across the fountain. This is now our day two activity here, and I don't know what is it. "We are going to rent a motorcycle there" She pointed out to the shop in the corner that named 'Rent me, and we're going to explore the depth of your heart'. I am confused of what that name meant, but I just shook it out. As we reached the shop, an old man greets us. "Magandang umaga mga binibini! Gusto niyo bang umarkila ng motorsiklo?" "Yes po, Lolo." Diana's answered. She only answered because I don't know what to say. "Ilan ba? Dalawa o isa lang?" He asked "Isa lang po lo, para di na masyadong magastos sa gasolina. Atsaka parang wala namang alam ang kasama ko sa pagmamaneho ng ganyan eh." She grinned. Lolo also grin for a while before nodding to Diana. I don't get it. What are they talking about? Ugh. They're so unfair! But before I explode from my confusion here, Lolo gave Diana a key. A key of motorcycle. Ah? Yeah. I recall. We are going to rent a motorcycle. For? "Hey! Sumakay ka na nga. I mean--get on here." She commanded. I've got wonder-struck when I see her already aboard in her newly rented motorcycle. A YAMAHA FZi Black. And it compliments to her plain white t-shirt and black fitted jeans, together with her black army kind of boots. Wow. She looks like an action star. "Hey! I said get on here!" She commanded me again. I abruptly nod not minding my heart that is hysterically beating. I come close to her to get the helmet that she was handling to me. I get on and awkwardly hold her shoulder. This is my first time in riding a motorcycle so I'm a bit scared. "Sige, una na po kami lo!" She adieu as Lolo just giving a salute to her. "Franki, just hold me tight because we're having a joy ride here around the town." She glanced at me, giving me a near look to her face. This kind of situation is suffocating! Are you really going to kill me, Diana? "Uh-okay." I replied as I hold her tight. But this time on her waist. I am like backhugging her. Our first stop is the Cabo Beach. There's a beach on this town, okay? Because this is an island. A small stretch of sand with huts where Diana and I relax for a while as we reached this. And then after relaxing, we decided to follow the path along the waterside. This dusky road takes you through local villages. We stop and have some interacting with the kids. We play with them and have some chitchat. "Jowa mo ba siya?" A little girl said as she is pointing to Diana. I don't understand her but I know the word 'jowa' so I said "Yeah?" Because I don't know if our conversation has a point to continue. "Grabe! Ang swerte swerte niyo po, kase napakaganda po ng jowa niyo! Tapos kayo din po!" She exclaimed. I don't know what she's talking about, but I just nod at her. "Let's go." Diana said as the little girl ran over to her playmates. "Where?" I wondered. "We need to grab some delicious lunch" As we stopped in our second spot, which is the Summer Cafe. As what she have said, we grab a delicious lunch here. It is located in a small side street and it's town's most trendy cafe. We eat all the Filipino food here, together with their famous yogurt fruit. We stay here for like, three hours already because we get lost by reading some novel books here. At exactly 4 pm, we decided to hike at Mt. Tapyas. It has a stair of 750 steps that leads up the hill with Hollywood-like letters saying 'CORON'. We're in the mid-way to the up as I get exhausted. You know I don't have any resistance in doing an outdoor activity like this. Diana has no choice but to carry me in her back. Seriously!? She has so much power? It is not bad as it looks and feels, once you get reached the top. You will get rewarded with a view over the entire bay. And then we also explore the hills on the other side on the opposite side of the bay and it felt like pure magic knowing that I'm with Diana, while seeing the sun go down from here. "Sunset is the proof that endings can be beautiful too". She uttered. Yeah. As the sun sets itself now, I also need to set myself free from denying too. Yeah. I'm already fallen in love with you, Diana. After the sunset view at Mt. Tapyas, Diana dragged me at Maquinit Hot Spring. She wanted to relax her muscles from the hike and also for carrying me. Good thing I bought some our extra clothes. We soaked at 40 degrees water not minding that it's already six thirty in the evening. The natural salt-water hot spring is surrounded by a mangrove trees, has a beautiful view over the ocean. But I prefer the view beside me. I see Diana's closing her eyes while facing the night sky. I also looked up and see a million stars shining above us. It's so beautiful. I know this moments will become memories soon. "Diana, please look up at the stars above. There's a hidden words in the alignment of the stars!" I excitedly blurted out to her even though I don't see any hidden words there. She politely followed what I told her. She is now looking at the night full of stars, but confused "There's no hidden words, Franki." She said still looking above. I smiled looking at her knowing that I'm just lying. There's no hidden words that can be formed in aligning the stars, Diana. "There it is." I said while looking intently at her. "Then, what is it?" She asked And this time, she is now looking at me, too. And now, we're looking at each other.    "I love you"
