CHAPTER 5: Lies in her past

"Look Keenan, my mom instructed me to give this to your wife and not you," sabi ko kay Keenan na naka-cross armed sa kanyang dibdib.

"You are not allowed to meet my wife. She's currently busy with her majesty's work. Leave that letter to me," he said arrogantly to me.

"Who do you think you are huh? Let me see her!" inis na sabi ko sa kanya.

"Have you not heard me? If you insist on eagerly seeing my wife, I suggest you back down. It's either you follow what I said or choose to meet my blade, your choice," sabi pa niya.

Chitin looked at me like I'm a delicious meal and will attack me if Keenan orders him. The big freaking black tiger s**t is almost the same as my wolf form in size. But I'm a werewolf, a shifter whereas this huge cat is a familiar.

To avoid conflict with this arrogant Fallen celestial, ibinigay ko sa kanya ang sulat.

"Mom will wait for the answer because that is an important matter," sabi ko sa kanya bago tumalikod and shifted into my black wolf form and runned home.

Bullshit! I really wanted to meet Green but that bastard, possessive husband of hers is a threat and when he means no joke. I got it. Green is the sexiest and prettiest vampire in history. And she doesn't age. She's an ultimate beauty that a werewolf like me wishes to be my mate, my Luna. If I have the chance to choose, I will have her as my Queen as well.

Ugh, but that's impossible. She already has her Adam and that is Keenan.

My ideal Luna is like her. She wields an extremely huge sword of pure diamonds molded by our creator plus she's freaking damn hot. No she-wolves can match her when it comes to battle or beauty. Just no one. Period.

"Can you at least wait for our mate?" inis na tanong ni Fenrir, my old fashioned wolf spirit inside my head.

"What? You're gonna lecture me again about the mate thing? Come on! Green is just my preference for a mate. Is that bad?" tanong ko sa kanya.

"Are you that stupid? Of course no one can be like Green. She's the queen of the vampire and she's an eve. I don't know why you are so into her. You're a wolf and not a blood sucking bat. Our mate will be special. And she will be unique for us," sabi niya.

I just rolled my eyes at him. Panira talaga ito ng pangarap. Mate diyan, mate dito. Kahit sa mga dates ko, to get even through the night and one night stands, he's disgusted and lecturing me about how to be a saint and wait for my mate's arrival.

I doubted if she could even come. I waited for nine years but to no avail, she didn't arrive. When I was eighteen, the age I should smell my mate's scent, I was so excited to meet her. I sniffed the air where all female wolves attended my birthday but ugh I didn't smell her scent. Until I become twenty-six. Hanggang ngayon ay wala pa rin so when I met Green, I thought she's the one but then, she already had Keenan. Mahirap sa isang lalaki ang magkaroon ng secret crush sa babaeng hindi basta-basta.

When I reached our territory, I shifted into my human form. Agad akong nagtago sa likuran ng isang puno upang mag-suot ng short. The thing about shifting is that your clothes will be ripped off kung kaya lahat ng bahagi ng wolves territories ay may mga nakalagay at nakahanda ng damit.

Isang short ng basketball ang napagdiskitchahan kong isuot leaving my bare chest open to the public.

"Good morning your highness," bati sa akin ng mga warrior wolves na naka-assign sa pagche-check ng aming mga nasasakupan.

"Good morning Hercules," sagot ko sa kanya at tuloy tuloy na pumasok sa loob ng palasyo.

Nasa pusod ng kagubatan ang main palace ng werewolves clan kung saan ang aking inang si Raven ang nagpagawa. Among all the wolves, my mother is the strongest and that can rival Green though she never aged as well. She's an immortal. She and Green are both immortal. The difference between those two is that mom implied law and everyone must follow it and Green's people live in freedom. No rules at all. My mom's word is absolute. You defy her, then you'll see your sorry ass being punished.

"That can't be," narinig kong sabi ni Mama habang kausap si Lumine, ang head Salem ng mga Wicca or witch.

"Yes it is. January warned us when she was still living. She told us the worst enemy of us will yet to come," aniya pa. "That includes, Green and the others," sagot pa niya.

Napansin ako ni Mama.

"Go and get change. We will be having a meeting today. Special guests will be here," sabi niya sa akin.

Tumango ako at saka nagmamadaling pumunta ng aking kwarto at nagpalit ng disenteng damit which I rarely do.

Pagbalik ko ay nakita kong papasok na sina Mama sa special chamber na ipinagawa niya. The underground chamber kung saan doon nagtitipon-tipon ang mga allies niya. I haven't met all of them but since this is an urgent meeting, they have to be here.

"You are slow as ever, Raven," sabi ng lalaking nakasuot ng itim na nakaupo na sa isa sa mga upuan na nasa malaking bilog na marmol na mesa.

"No, I'm not Causian. Masyado ka lang tsismoso at gusto mong mauna sa balita," natatawang sagot ng mama na naupo na rin sa upuang sumunod dito.

If I'm not mistaken, Causian is the king of Lesser Demons. Lesser demons are those with half-blood demons. Not as strong as those who are in Cythonic but they do pack a punch.

Biglang lumitaw ang isang babaeng nakasuot ng maikling mini-dress at halos luwa na ang malulusog nitong dibdib. Kasunod niya si Zeus, ang kanyang kapatid s***h asawa. That woman is Hera, the Chief Goddess of Deity.

And then finally, Green arrived with her arrogant husband, Keenan. Her snow white long hair was neatly put into a bun. And her violet eyes glowed. Her red lips is inviting me to kiss her ngunit ang mga mata ni Keersn na nakatingin sa akin at nakakapaso. He's like giving me a warning to keep my eyes on the ground which of course I did. Hindi ko alam kung ano ang abilidad ni Keeran. He's mysterious at sabihing kanang kamay siya Lumikha sa amin.

"Greetings, ladies and gentlemen," bati niya at saka naupo sa tabi ni Hera. At awtomatikong pumuwesto sa likuran niya si Keenan.

He's gray eyes are freaking looking at me like I'm a fly under a huge microscope. Just like Green, his silvery gray eyes are glowing. I don't know much about him so I have to back off.

Kuntento na akong nakikita si Green sa malayo.

"Now that we are here, we will be discussing about our ancient enemy," sabi ni Lumine bago inilagay sa gitna ng mesa ang isang makapal at itim na libro.

They said that it's the remains of Janus, a celestial who can see the beginning, the past and the future. He was slain by the Ancient Queen of Wicca, January, for giving her a foul beginning of our kind. After killing the blind Celestial without giving a fight, January trapped his whereabouts in the book thus making it the most important book of Wicca for the ability it can give.

Kusang nagbukas ang libro. A light coming from within illuminates the darkness inside the chamber.

"What do you want to know? About the past or your beginning" tanong nito.

Ang boses ay tila nagmumula sa pinakailalim ng hukay that it sounded like there's actually two voice that talked. It's eerie and it sends me a goosebump.

"Tell us what we want to know, Janus. Who is this ancient enemy that January told us? Tell us about it," sabi ni Lumine.

"Oh why? After thousands of Eons after your queen killed a blind old man and powerless celestial, you came and asked me about this? I'd rather be burned than telling you about that ancient enemy who will come biting your ass," natatawang sagot ng libro. He was obviously mocking her. And the grudge of killing him is visible.

"We are serious, Janus. I apologized for what my ancestor did to you. If you can just help us, I promise in the presence of everyone here, I'll find a way to free your soul," malumanay na sagot ni Lumine sa kanya.

"What do you want to know?"

"The beginning," sagot ni Green.

"Oh let me start by telling you about The Three. The three are three entities who excited before us. Seraphim the first one was created by Elohim, the king of good deeds and the Chief. Satan, the second one, was born in Black Hole, where Sin, Elohim's archenemy and nemesis, father of darkness as the name says, resides. And then there is Death. Death was born in the middle of Elohim and Sin's war. It was said that it feeds from the fallen soldiers of Elohim and the spawn of Sin. Those soldiers and spawn weren't created to die. They can only be wounded and then heal afterwards. The nameless entity was attracted to the souls of those who are at war and so it started to feed. In time, nobody noticed this young entity until both Elohim and Sin started to notice the piling bodies of their warriors and spawns. Upon investigating, Seraphim and Satan forget the war as the leaders and investigate the case. And there, in the middle of piled bodies was a young snake coil soundly and was sleeping. The young Seraphim and Satan decide to kill it but to no avail, they couldn't kill. They tried to bring the snake back to the Celestial axis but the snake wasn't bulging. So they called Elohim and Sin. That very first day the two ceased to fire and investigated the snake. It was found out later on that the snake is not an ordinary creature that was accidentally created. Time and circumstances created it and it was known then by the name Death," sabi ng libro ni Janus.
