“YES, HELLO. You’ve reached Spines and Metaphors. What can I help you with?” Ako ang inutusan ng secretary na sumagot sa tawag kahit na abala ako sa inventory. Napapansin ko na rin na panay ang tapon sa akin sa inventory at hindi sa labas. Tantiya ko ay mga apat na parihabang mesa ang layo ko sa mesa ng secretary. Tinalikuran ko ang sekretarya (she obviously have a name, it just doesn’t come up to me to introduce her like every human being that come and go in my life) dahil naiilang ako na panoorin niya ako. Sumagot ang caller. “Oh, turns out I dialed a wrong number. Or did I? Magtatanong sana ako kung magkano ang palitan ng dolyar sa peso.”
Couldn’t phatom if prank call or plain stupidity or my friends. The caller must be one of my friends. The caller’s a guy, by the way.
