CHAPTER 20: Confusion
In a world where elegance screams status, every piece of clothing shall be observed. From the top of the body to the tip of the toes. From the hat on the head to the wig covering hair someone’s wearing to the shoes of the feet. Every color combination was important—not too extravagant, not too cheap.
Be the epitome of perfection.
With a wide smile on my lips, I greeted the visitors. Wearing a violet and pink dress, my bell-shaped skirt reached the ground. The corset hugged my body perfectly enough to show my curves. The veil hanged above my head, and in one hand rested a white fan with an embroidery of pink flowers.
