CHAPTER 13

NAGISING na lang ako na nasa puting kwarto ako, saka alam na alam ko kung nasa hospital ako.

"Finally, you're awake." Seryosong saad ni Mommy.

"M-mommy."

"I know everything, Yonna Teriss."

Umiwas ako ng tingin. "Your dad call me that you're in the hospital, so I come here then he explain everything you did." Matigas na saad nito.

"Why did you do that, Yoona Teriss? Explain it now."

Umupo ako at napatingin sa mga paa ko na may benda. Huminga muna ako ng malalim bago tumingin sa kanila ni Dad.

"I just love him, kaya nagawa ko iyon. Nagawa kong magpanggap na maging yaya, kasi akala ko nung una na crush lang ang mararamdaman ko sa kaniya, but when I stay in that house and be with Aldrich? Everything has change even my feelings for him."

"So its that the reason why you change your schedule? Then what use your apartment?"

"Yes, Mom. About my apartment? Stock all of my things. I get buy all a simple cloths just to pretend that I am a poor person, even I studied in a international school kasi sa oras na mabuking ako ni Aldrich papalayasin niya ako at mawawala lang ang lahat ng pinaghirapan ko."

"You're just 19 for pete's sake! You did that because of that man? He also your cousin's friend."

Tumango ako. "Yes, Mom. I love him."

Huminga ito ng malalim. "Ready your consequences for what you did. You also have a failing grades."

"Mom. ."

"You know me very well, Yoona Teriss." Seryoso ulit na sabi nito.

"You will transfer in New York with Brady."

"No, Mom!"

"You don't have no choice." Matigas na sabi nito bago ako iniwan.

"I'm sorry, Princess. Kakausapin ko ang Mommy." Sabi nito bago din ako iniwan.

Nagpatakan bigla ang mga luha ko. "Mahal ko kasi kaya nagawa ko iyon."

ALDRICH

Malalim ang isip ko ng may kumatok sa pintuan ng office ko.

"Come in."

Sumilip bigla si Harrison. "Can I?"

Tumango lang ako.

Pumasok na ito at umupo sa upuan na katapat ko lang.

"I'm sorry for what Tito Jacob's did."

"It's okay. I understand him, even if I have a daughter I will do that too."

"Thank you, Bro. Masyado pa kasing bata si Yoona Teriss. Ewan ko ba kung ano sumagi sa utak ng batang iyon."

"She just 19, still studying but she's a brat sometimes."

"She already face the consequences." Malumanay na saad nito.

"Consequences?"

"Yes, both Tita Sofia and Tito Jacob's decision. She will continue her study in New York together with Brady."

"That guy." Matigas na sabi ko.

"You know him?"

"Not really. I caught him, she kissed Tere–Yoona in the cheeks."

"Brady has a feeling on Yoona."

"Yeah, I know but yoona are already mine."

"Yours?"

"Yes." Nakangising saad ko.

"Creepy, Bro. By the way I have to go, may susunduin pa akong pasaway na pamangkin ko."

"Take care."

Bigla ko tuloy naisip yung napag-usapan namin ng Daddy ni Tere–Yoona.

Kasalukuyan akong nakahiga ng may kumatok sa pintuan. "Come in."

Sumilip si Manang Rossa. "May naghahanap sayo."

"Sino daw?"

"Jacob Walton daw ang pangalan."

"Susunod na ako, Manang."

Inayos ko muna yung buhok ko bago bumaba, nadatnan ko ito na nakaupo.

Pumunta ako sa harapan niya dahilan para mapatayo ito. "Good Morning, Mr. Walton."

"Good Morning too, Mr. Hipolito."

"Bakit niyo ho ako hinahanap?"

Umupo na ako sa harapan niya.

"I come here to tell you something about my daughter."

Napakunot-noo ako. "Your daughter? Who?"

"Yoona Teriss."

So familiar, specially the second name.

"I don't know her, Sir."

"She's working here."

Napakunot-noo ako lalo. "Teresita Calderon?"

"So, she using her mom's maiden name." Bulong nito pero narinig ko pa din.

"Sir?"

So all the time, she just lying to me? For what reason?! Damn!

Napatingin ito sa akin. "How do you know about my daughter?"

"She's trying to work hard, even it's not and also she's my close friend."

"Close friend? Are you sure?"

Hindi ako nakaimik dahil doon.

"Do you have feelings on my daughter."

Huminga ako ng malalim. "Yes, Sir."

"Did you both do a nasty? You know."

Para akong nahiya. "Sir, that's the private thing."

"I just want to know."

"Still sir."

Tumawa lang ito pero kaagad din nagseryoso. "Do me a favor."

"What favor, Sir?"

"I want you pretend that you don't know yet my daughter, I want you to fired her and I want you to mad at her just pretend."

"Sir. ."

"It's hard to do that." Dagdag ko.

"I know you can, Mr. Hipolito."

"I can't do that to Teresita."

"Do you love her?"

"I don't know? Maybe yes?"

"Not ready." Bulong na naman nito.

"If you have feeling on Yoona and if you love her then wait. She will continue her study, pursue her dreams then marry her."

Napakamot ako bigla sa batok. "Hindi ba parang pinamimigay niyo na ang anak niyo, Sir?"

Ngumiti ito. "Not really. I just want her to realize that in her action there is a consequences. She know that, and I don't want her to lie."

"But she did." Singit ko.

"Do you mad at her?"

"Not really, Sir. I just want to know her reason why did she pretend and why did she lied to me all this time."

"Undestand her, Aldrich."

"Do what I want, please." Nakikiusap na sabi nito.

"You don't have to say please. I will do it." Labag na sabi ko.

"Thank you."

"You're welcome, Sir."

"Cut that Sir, call me Tito Jacob."

"Okay, Tito Jacob just promise me one thing that even she will have her punishment. Please let me keep an eye for her."

"Okay if thats what you want, Aldrich. Go for it."

"Thank you, Tito Jacob."

Ilan minuto lang ang katahimikan ng may narinig ako na parang nabasag. Napatayo ako bigla ng makita ko si Teresita I mean Yoona na nabitawan ang dala-dala na tray.

"D–dad."

I have to know everything about her. We're in the same level. Una palang pakiramdaman ko na nagpapanggap lang siya, kailangan ko lang na siya mismo ang umamin pero hindi niya ginawa.

All I can do is to pretend as Tito Jacob's favor.
