CHAPTER 10

1013 Words
CLAYTON GOMEZ I looked around when I finally lost the presence of Ivory inside the house. I sat down on her bed and closed my eyes. I use one of my abilities to locate the intruder or to know if he's still around or left a long time ago. I crossed both of my arms and imagined the different kinds of shadows inside my head. This way, I could locate the living things inside my realm within 50 kilometers. I could easily see and hear everyone inside my realm, and their moves were slower than ordinary. My eyebrows met with confusion because not only can I't find the intruder anymore, but I also can't locate Ivory, who just left a moment ago. It's understandable to know that she's not inside the house anymore, but she's not inside my realm either. She's already gone that far? Where did she go, anyway? Even if she is riding in the car or something, she can't easily go that far. Where the hell did she go? I open my eyes, but I'm still sitting on the bed. I knew she wasn't ordinary the moment I saw her, even if I mistakenly thought of her as a human being at first. I shrugged my head when I noticed that my mind was thinking deeper than usual. I'm not that kind of thinker, and Ivory is just one of the solutions to my problem. "She's not that special to me." Yeah. That sounds so good! I got up and walked to the kitchen. She left me alone here in her house, like I wasn't a stranger to her anymore. I can't help but grin because of those thoughts. In any case, I will stay here until she is able to cure my illness. Of course, I will not tell her about my illness. If she finds out that I'm just using her, I know it will bring me more problems. She's already hard on me, and I don't want to add more pressure on her. When I finally go to the kitchen, I open her fridge so I can search for foods for breakfast. I suddenly feel hungry. If only she would cook decent food for me next time. Tsk. Now that I remember I really don't understand her. She is acting like a human being, and sometimes she gives me the information that she is one of us . Ivory and I have different mindsets; maybe we've had a misunderstanding all along? What if she is really just an ordinary human acting like a lycan because she's a fan of it? I won't know unless she tells me directly. I saw cereal and milk, and since I don't know how to cook either, I got them, and that is the one that I've eaten. I suddenly remember my doctor friend, Nico. If I could talk to him right now, I would ask him if my condition gets worse or better, but I can't talk to him unless I go to our world for once. However, it will take a lot of my power to go back to our world again. I guess I will be patient enough until Ivory is able to cure me completely, if she is indeed my medicine. IVORY "Whose group are you? And how did you know that I am one of those rare lycans?" I asked the man wearing a black robe that could cover his whole presence. Unfortunately, the robe he was wearing got scratched by the wall inside my house without his knowledge, so I could only detect his presence for a second. He didn't reply to my question. I sighed as I tried to cool my head. He's already getting on my nerves, but not as much as the man left in my house. I tied a rope around his arms while sitting on the worn-out chair that I saw in the abandoned place near my workplace so he couldn't flee while I was still interrogating him. However, he just bowed his head and never tried to say even a single word. Maybe he needs a little beating. I stood up and did a warm-up exercise. I mean, exercise using just my finger. After that, I walked near the man and grabbed his neck. I know he could not easily get killed because he is a vampire, but I'm sure he could feel the pain instead. Yep. He is not one of us. I even used a lot of force to squeeze his neck hard so that he could feel more pain than usual until he could no longer tolerate my action. He tried to break the rope that I used to tie his hand. He even used his own power, but it never broke. It will never be broken unless I unleash my own seal on it. "Queen." For the first time, I finally heard his voice. I stopped for a few minutes to think about the one word that he said. Queen. . . Where did I hear that one word again? My eyes changed color when I suddenly remembered something. I have been living in this world for almost two hundred years, and I can't believe that I forgot that name. That name—I mean, that code name—is one of the reasons why I am living in the human world now. I can't control my anger now. It is like all of my blood suddenly went up to its limit. My claws revealed themselves as I grabbed the man's neck again. "How did you find me? Answer me now!" I carry his body in the air while holding his neck. He struggles to get free from my grip, but I am too strong for him to handle. I looked at his face as I asked him a question again. "How did you find me?" "We locate your location based on your pheromones." He struggled as he continued to talk. I was stunned by his words. That one mistake, that one night accident? No way!
