Zero’s point of View

She was lying down inside the coffin wearing the long dress we bought for her funeral. Ang kanyang katawan ay balot nang mga bulaklak mula sa kanyang mga kaibigan na kapwa sacrificial brides din. Napakaaga pa para siya ay mamatay kaya ang nangyari sa kanya noong isang araw ay isang palaisipan sa akin. Sacrificial brides don’t die like that. They die in natural way. We may suck her blood, hindi dapat siya nauubusan ng dugo. Sacrificial brides are female humans that were created for us. They are unique. They manufacture plenty of blood for us.

But then when I finally find the one who really meant for us, didn’t last long. I must admit she is a very beautiful girl. Hindi siya katulad ng mga naunang sacrificial brides namin noon. She was different. Something inside of me keeps on telling me that she’s something.

“Why the sudden leaving us G?”, narinig kong sabi ni Lavender, one of her closest friend.

Humakbang ako palayo sa kabaong ni Green at nagpasyang maupo sa dulo kung saan nakaupo si Seven. Maging siya ay hindi makapaniwala sa paraan ng pagkamatay ni Green.

“Have you found the answer?”, tanong ko sa kanya sabay upo.

“Nothing.”, maikling sagot niya sabay tingin sa malayong kabaong ni Green.

“It’s very unusual, isn’t it?”,

“Yes. I’ve already search and read every book I found about sacrificial brides but nothing explain about her death. I think there is something happening to her body that we didn’t know”,

“Something?”,

“Yes. Whatever it is, she’s the only one who knew it and she didn’t even bother to tell us including why she vomit blood and the last time she collasped",

Napa-cross armed ako sabay tingin sa labas. Doon ay nakita kong nakatayo sa dilim ang lalaking nagngangalang Ace na nais kumuha kay Green noon.

“His been standing there few hours ago”, sabi ni Sky ng makalapit siya sa amin ni Seven.

Sabay naming tinitigan ang lalaki na maya’t maya lamang ay naglaho na lamang na parang bula.

Kinanukasan ay inilibing na si Green sa moseleo ng mga Robrinso. Doon din inilibing ang ibang naunang sacrificial bride noon. Maiksi lamang ang ritual na ipinagkaloob ng Elder sa kanya bago ipinasok sa loob ng sementadong nitso ang kabaong at tinakpan. Ang kanyang puntod ay pinalibutan ng puting petals ng mga rosas.

Nang matapos na ay isa-isa ng lumabas ang mga panauhin hanggang sa sinarado na ang moseleo at nabalutan na ng dilim sa loob.

“Shall we going to find our new Sacrificial bride?”, tanong ni Cross.

Walang nagtangkang sumagot sa tanong ni Cross. We should indeed ngunit ang pagkamatay ni Green ay unusual at nangangailangan ng malalimang imbestigastion.

Three days passed and I checked Green's tomb.

Pagbukas  ko palang ng pintuan ay tumambad sa akin ang bukas na grave stone ni Green. Nakabukas na ng nakatakip na granite cover ng tomb. Nilapitan ko ito at ganoon na lamang ang paggulat ko ng makitang wala roon ang katawan ni Green.

I smell the air if someone took it away. 

I smelled a faint smell of wolf.

What the hell a wolf wants with Green's body?

Ace’s point of view

“So your daughter wasn’t the Eve after all”, sabi ko kay Alexander ng bisitahin ko siya sa kanyang kulungan.

Narinig kong gumalaw ang mga kadena na nakatali sa kanyang katawan ng marinig niya ang sinabi ko.

“A-anong sabi mo?”, mahinang tanong niya sa akin.

“Well I think I should tell you everything, you’re going to die anyway and no use to me now. I should have told you before that your precious Green who you’ve searched upon returning home was married to Pureblood’s of Robrinso. She became their Prey and they quite sucks her blood at their own will. I can’t imagine how those brothers toyed your daughter’s body until they want. She couldn’t say no and you knew exactly what prey  means. To make everything short, she is now cold corpse down inside her coffin and buried somewhere. Eve shouldn’t die like the way she dies right? Eve is immortal unless she gives birth to a new Eve. Then why on Earth she died like that? Well anyway you will join her shortly.”, patamad na sabi ko kay Alexander bago naupo sa isang sofa sa harapan niya habang ang mga anino sa kanyang likod ay unit-unti ng lumalapit. And in an instant, pinatulungan ng mga aninong sipsipin ang kanyang dugo hanggang sa ang katawan ni Alexander ay naging abo.

“Sir I regret to tell you this but the woman has escape”, sabi sa akin ni Sebastian ng makapasok siya sa silid na iyon.

“What do you mean she escape?”, tanong ko sa kanya.

“I think Alexander use his last power to help her escape sir”, magalang na sagot niya sa akin.

Bumuntong-hininga ako.

“She’s no use now but search for her and kill her afterward.”.

Yumuko muna ito sa akin bago umalis.

Napatingin ako sa abo ni Alexander at napasuntok sa sofa.

Is he hiding something from me? Is he expecting this to happen?

Bigla ay nakaramdam ako ng inis.

Whatever it is, I think I made a wrong move.

Bigla ay lumitaw sa aking harapan si Luka, ang aking alagad na inatasan kong magmadyag sa main castle kung saan nakaupo ang walang kwenta kong pinsan si Quentin.

“Any news from my foolish cousin?”, patamad na tanong ko sa kanya.

“Something’s happening right there now Sir”, magalang na sagot niya sa akin.

Napatingin ako sa kanya.

“Speak”,

“A woman from Hungary demanding him to give her the throne”,

Napatawa ako.

“And who would be that woman?”,

“Her name is Countess Elizabeth. She has legion of wolves as her guard headed by a female wolf named Beatrix, Sir”,

“A countess Vampire and wolves for guard?”, natawa ako.

“And her eyes sir. She has those two violet eyes and her aura is undeniable that she’s the new Eve”,

Napahinto ako sa pagtawa at matalim na napatingin kay Luka.

“New Eve? Are you certain?”, seryoso kong tanong sa kanya.

“Yes Sir. I can even feel her power within me when she use it against the king’s armies.”,

Napatayo ako at lumapit sa bintana.

“She’s not the real Eve Luka”, sabi ko sa kanya.

“Forgive me sir but she is the new Eve, no doubt about it.”, magalang na sagot ni Luka sa akin.

Hindi ako nakaimik. Luka never lied to me. If someone who is claiming that she is the new Eve, she did something awful, a vampire greatest sin.

“Very well Luka. I shall see her myself”, sagot ko sa kanya.

Yumukod muna ito sa akin bago naglaho.

Could that vampire stole the previous Eve’s heart? If so there is no way that, that heart should be tamed by unrelated blood. I heard Alexander’s Eve has been assassinated by numerous numbers of wolves. So she’s the mastermind behind her death. There was never been two Eve before. Is that the reason that the pure-blooded Eve named Green was dead?

Napasuklay ako sa aking sariling buhok.

If that so… I think there will be upcoming war and soon Eve’s death will brought to justice. I really hate when something down there will come and hunt us.
