"I'm back. I miss you, Shielo."

Those words. Those five little words was all it took for him to make me go crazy for him over again.

Why is this feelings so hard to control?

Yesterday, after I got home from work, I've decided to download all my socmed again. Especially insta and wemessage where we always talk.

As long as I logged in my account, a notification from him entered. I looked at his username on my screen and it took me minutes before I opened his message.

July 15,5:20 pm

@jjehale05: I'm back. I miss you, Shielo.

He sent it the same day i saw him at the bookstore.

It's quarter to 11pm now and I'm still so wide awake. I still haven't replied to his message yet.

Instead of replying to him, I opened Lucas and i's last conversation on wassup. Deciding whether to ask him about Jace and his relationship with the girl in the bookstore to really confirm my assumption.

Is Jace with his girlfriend here in Manila?

Three years ago, Jace and I were dining in a bistro somewhere in Makati when this tall looking guy suddenly approached us.

He was also out with his friends at that time. They're not really that far from our table when his friend recognized his cousin, Jace and points us to him. He then joined us after his friends left.

That's where i first met him.

Lucas and Jace are close. Just like me and my cousin, Jennifer.

After that night, Luke followed me on all my socmeds.

Then he started bugging me. But not in an annoying way.

He used to send me memes and sometimes an update on Jace.

We don't really talk much and I don't really know him that well too but he's Jace's cousin so i didn't want to just ignore him.

The second time i met him was the other day. When i bumped in to his chest while trying to avoid Jace.

I'm stuck between sending or deleting my message.

I almost drop my phone to my face when i saw three little dots saying he's typing a message for me. He's now online!

I immediately deleted my message and made a log out before I can even see what he wants to say.

Then I opened my insta.

I closed my eyes as i stare at my message for Jace.

I waited for another hour to see if he'll be online but I just got disappointed again.

I guess he's already asleep.

With that thought, I turned my phone off and decided to just take a rest.

Must be because i did not get enough sleep last night that's why drowsiness easily got me.

Morning came and I overslept. That is why I did not get the chance to check my phone first before I prepare for work.

I did not hear my alarm clock and good thing that my mother came home from work and checked if

I already left since I'm not replying to her texts. She woke me up and ask if I'm going to work today. That's when it hit me. I'm going to be late!

I can't be absent today since I'm scheduled to interview some applicants for our newly acquired condo project in ArcSouth.

I was late for about two hours. Luckily our Chief did not get mad at me and because I'm extra busy today, I did not get the chance to check if Jace has replied to me.

Also, because I was late, Anika was the one who process the papers of the Engineers and Architects who are applying for our new construction project. She's busy so i did not get the chance to see her all morning.

On the other hand, Jen and I are the ones who interviewed the applicants for other positions like the construction workers.

Lunch time came. I looked at the foods my cousin ordered. Pasta is fine but im craving for pizza and sushi.

Anika was finally able to join us during the lunch time too. Looking so giddy all over.

I wonder what happened.

"Girlsss, you wouldn't believe who I just saw outside." She said. Her eyes twinkling in delight.

"Our President?" Jen asked.

"Nope." She answered.

"Aivan?" I asked too while munching my food.

"No." She smiled.

"Just tell us already." Jen said. Not really interested with what she's going to say.

"It's Lucas 'Freaking' Hale!" she said excitedly.

I looked at her not really sure if she's bluffing or not. What is Jace's cousin doing here?

"Niks, you really should stop it with Lucas. You have a boyfriend now, right?"

Jen warned her. Anika just rolled her eyes.

I don't know what to process first. Lucas Hale outside or Anika and Aivan finally being together.

"Really now? You sure it's not just your immagination?" I asked to make sure.

"You don't believe me?"

"You have proof?" I asked again. Raising my eyebrow to tease her.

"No." she said.

"But I'm telling the truth. Cross my heart!"

"Tsk." I rolled my eyes. I'm not really sure if I should believe her.

Then i remembered.

I took my phone out of my pouch and opened my insta.

Right to my gut feeling, Jace finally replied but I don't know if i should be happy or disappointed with what he wrote.

I got pissed that's why i decided not to reply now. I will just message him later.

I then check my other socmed and saw Lucas' message from last night.

I glanced at my friend, Anika, who's busy bickering with Jennifer.

I got confused at first as to why Lucas asked me that but then i realized he knew what was going on with me and his cousin.

I suddenly felt embarrassed that he had to see me trying to avoid them the other day.

Did he told Jace that he saw me at the bookstore that time?

I guess so.

Maybe that is why Jace finally replied to me after months.

I typed "of course. Why wouldn't i be?"

Seconds after i put my phone down, my phone beeped because of a message.

I opened it and saw Lucas' username. Wow! He sure replies fast.

I opened his message and saw a picture. My eyes widened when i realized where he took it.

"I guess i believe you now." I looked at Anika.

"Believe what?"

"That you really saw Lucas outside."

"Huh?" Jen asked confused.

I showed them my phone and the picture Lucas took.

It was the convenience store outside our building.

It was where the three of us used to kill time and buy our snacks during our free time at work.

"OMG! He's probably still there!" Anika shrieked.

"Shhh!" I glared at her.

"You two still talk?" My cousin asked. Her brows furrowed.

Anika then also looked at me.

"Uh, not really. Just today again." I shrugged my shoulder.

I glanced at my phone. Deciding if i should reply or not. I got uneasy knowing that Anika's just beside me.

I decided to post a story.

"Craving for sushi and pizza." I used the emoji for sushi and pizza. I also put a sad face.

After eating, we went back to our works.

When i was done interviewing the last applicant for labor works for today, i then went back to my cubicle. I feel so tired already.

I looked at my cousin who's still busy typing something on her computer before i took my phone out.

I stared at my phone. Still don't know what to reply to Jace. He's online but i don't feel like talking to him now.

I furrowed my eyebrows when a notiffication from Lucas came in again.

I opened my wassup. He sent me another message.

Me:

??

What "??" ?

Me:

Huh?

@lukehale:

Ok. Maybe wait a lil more.

I got confused. Lucas is just like his cousin. Both are complicated.

What is he saying?

I was about to type my reply when the intercom beside my cousin rang. She answered it immediately and then glanced at me. She puts it down before talking to me.

"Go to Che..." She said referring to our receptionist.

"You have a delivery. You ordered something?" she asked.

"Huh? I did not."

My forehead furrowed. I'm sure it's not for me. I was about to argue with my cousin but then she's really busy so i stood up and decided to just talk to the delivery guy. I'm sure there's a misunderstanding.

When I got to the lobby, Che pointed at the two delivery guy sitting at the sofa.

"Ma'am, are you Ms. Shielo Trinidad?" One guy asks to confirm.

"Yes, Sir that's me. But I'm sure I did not order anything."

"Yes, Ma'am you did not. Mr. Lucas Hale does..." the guy in red and black jacket said.

"He's also the one who ordered to us Ma'am." The guy in green jacket said too when he probably notice the confusion on my face.

What?

"Here Ma'am..." They handed me a small paper and asked for my signature to confirm that I did really receive the delivery.

After that they gave me the box of Hawaiian pizza from Dana's, my favorite pizza parlor, partnered with my favorite beverage, lemon ice tea. The second man gave me a green paper bag with a Rara House of Sushi in it.

They said Lucas freaking Hale already paid for it. What in the world?

I went straight to the pantry and put the foods there then i went back to my cubicle.

I immediately typed a message for Lucas.

Me:

what did just happened? You ordered food for me?

He typed in a reply immediately. As if he's expecting my text.

@lukehale:

Did you received it already?

I continued staring at the screen. Three little dots are still there. Indicating he's typing another message.

@lukehale:

Perfect for your snack break.

...

@lukehale:

Then he logged out.

He did not even wait for me to reply.

What is he doing? I know he's kind and playful...also a bit naughty but why did he have to buy me food?

If he's thinking of making me feel good because of his cousin, then he didn't have to do this.

I should be thankful i know but i can't help but wonder and be confused.

Jennifer looked at me. Noticing the confusion on my face.

"I forgot i ordered sushi and pizza earlier." I lied.

"Tsk. You just can't control your cravings."

She said as she stood from her chair.

"It's almost three pm. I'll call Anika. Let's have a break." She said as she dialed Anika's number.
