°Prologue°
December night plus the cold wind, hits different this year. I throw my purse at the bed and sat down at the edge. I sighed as I crossed my legs.
Today is the last day of my career. I quit my job, where I work for five months. For the reason that I don't feel safe working there. Like, I don't even know who my boss was.
I glanced at my phone that keeps on ringing, and I'd been ignoring it for how long it was. I rolled my eyes and remove my glasses as I took a sip of wine, I was holding.
"ahhh, what a life." I murmured and curled my body to lie down at the mattress. I could feel a burning sensation run through my vines because of the wine's taste.
Ringggg!!!! Ringgggg!!!! Ringgggg!!!!
I groaned annoyingly and pick up my phone. For the nth time, I finally answered it!
This gonna be important! God! I'm having a good rest here! For all heavens sake!
"What?!" I answered without looking who was the caller was. I'm too annoyed to even bother knowing who it was.
I heard a cold chuckle from the other line that made me literally shivered and opened my eyes wide.
No! That voice, he's back! This can't be! I changed my number! What the hell?! That was six months ago!
"Who are you?" I asked as cold as I could. I don't want him to have the satisfaction that I fear him. No, never.!
"Answer me!? What exactly do you want?"I asked once again.
The caller from the other line whistled and puff some air, sounds like he was smoking.
"You answered me now, baby." I almost gasp hearing his voice. It was deep and very masculine to hear! This is the first time he speak and I heard his voice.
No!
I erased that thought straight away and slapped my face to wake my self up! This man is a stalker, for God's sake!
"What. do. you. want!" I uttered as bravely as I could.
"You." He simply said enough to stopped my breathing. This man is insane!
"You're insane! Whoever you are, you are a psycho!" I shouted and hang up the call.
I throw my phone at my side as I started shivering and felt the water that wets my cheeks. I wipe it off and reached my phone once again.
This is not happening, again.
With my shivering hands, I dialled my friends number. After a few rings she answered, her voice was hoarse.
"Hello, Freya?" She answered with her husky voice. Looks like she's asleep and was awake by my call.
"Florin!" I exclaimed.
"God! What happened?" I heard a loud thud from her background. But it does hold my concern anymore.
"He called, a--a--aga--in, h--he c--c--c--called! H-e-he called!" I don't know what to do. I couldn't think straight, I'm afraid.
"H--hey! hey! Freya, listen to me. Oh My God!"
I couldn't think straight and keep on breathing deeply. It feels suffocating by just breathing, I slapped my chest lightly so I could breathe just fine, but it was no use.
"Freya! Listen, calm down, okay? I'm coming. I'm coming to you, Freya. Don't do anything, just calm down and wait for me, okay?"
I tried to answer her but I can't open my mouth to utter a word anymore. I just keep on breathing heavily.
"Freya? Freya? Are you still there? Not again!"
That was the last thing I heard and then the darkness took my consciousness away. I feel cold and alone, once again.
