#18 Someone's secret is out!

Kranz parked the car near the traffic barrier, slowly got out of the car and looked at the bus with a bewildered expression. Because he was behind the bus he got the whole view of what had happened.

That was... ...Unbelievable!

He quickly closed the door of his car and ran towards the bus. Nang makilala siya ng teacher ni Juna ay agad nitong sinabihan ang driver na buksan ang pinto ng bus. Tumalima naman ang driver at pinapasok ito.

Mabilis na pumasok si Kranz, tumayo sa harapan at hinanap ang kapatid at si Maimin. Nakita niya ito sa likuran he was about to call Juna but he frowned when he saw his little brother's worried look.

He strode towards their seat and saw Maimin eyes shut and pale face. Umiiyak na tumingala si Juna at nang makitang siya ang nakatayo malapit dito ay agad itong tumayo at yumakap sa kaniya.

"Brother... help... Maimin," he said between sobs.

He patted Juna's head to give him some comfort. Lumapit siya kay Maimin, marahan niyang hinatak ang ang isang braso nito at inilagay sa leeg niya pagkatapos no'n ay binuhat niya na ang katawan nito.

Agad namang lumapit ang dalawang teacher sa kanila nang makitang may problema.

"Anong lagay niya?" nag-aalalang tanong ng isa. "Siguro natakot siya sa nangyari kanina, ang mabuti pa dalhin mo siya sa hospital para makasiguro."

Tinanguan niya ang dalawang teacher tapos ay dinala na si Maimin palabas ng bus. Sumenyas siya kay Brian at nakuha naman agad nito ang ibig niyang sabihin.

Tumakbo ito sa sasakyan ni Kranz at pinagbuksan sila ng pinto. Nang makapasok ang dalawa ay umikot si Brian at naupo sa driver's sit. He didn't mean to but what he saw from the rearview mirror surprised him a little. He saw his master Kranz hugged miss Maimin tightly. His brow furrowed tightly and he looks so agitated.

Pinaharurot niya ang sasakyan at hindi nagtagal ay nakarating na sila sa ospital.

Patakbong dinala ni Kranz si Maimin sa emergency room, hindi niya alintana ang bigat nito. Ang gusto niya lang malaman ngayon ay kung ayos ba ito.

Tinawagan niya na ang mga kilala niyang doktor sa ospital na ito kaya naman may naasikaso agad sila pagkapasok pa lang. Inihiga ng mga nurse si Maimin sa isang kama roon.

Kranz was about to follow but the nurse stopped him. "Hindi po tayo pwedeng pumasok, antayin niyo na lang po ang result ng test namin."

Wala sa loob na tumango siya habang nakatingin pa rin sa nakahigang si Maimin. Ilang doktor ang sumusuri dito ilang sandali pa ay isinara ng isang nurse ang kurtinang nakapalibot sa kama. Isang nurse naman ang lumapit sa kanya dala ang isang form. After filling it up ay dumiretso siya sa waiting room.

Mahigit fourty five minutes ang itinagal bago nilapitan si Kranz ng isang doktor. Kranz stood up and look at the doctor eagerly, wanting to know the result.

Tiningnan niya ang pangalan sa nameplate nito. Loki Lesana M.D.

"Good afternoon I am the resident doctor of White Hospital Loki Lesana," nakangiting pakilala nito bago nakipagkamay sa kanya.

Tinanggap naman ito ni Kranz. "How is she?"

"Aside from elevated level of stress all results came back normal. Did something happen that trigger the stress of the patient?"

"Yeah... car accident."

Loki nodded. "Well, since there's nothing wrong with her body she'll probably wake up soon."

"I see, then can I request a private ward para makapagpahinga siya ng maayos? I am not at ease leaving her sleeping in the emergency room."

"Sure," nakangiting tumango ito. "I'll arrange it right away."

After the doctor left Kranz let out a breath he didn't know he was holding. After so many years he felt this kind of panic again. The moment he saw Maimin's pale face it was as if a big hand gripped his heart. He was agitated the whole time he was holding her unconscious in the back seat. Heck! He even forgot that his brother and Brian was present at that time.

All he thought was to get to the hospital fast.

Sa tanang buhay ni Kranz, ito ang unang pagkakataong nagkaroon siya ng ganitong reaction para sa isang babae. It's clear he has fallen for her but he didn't know he had already fallen a little deeper.

"What should I do?"

Ilang sandali pa ay tinawag na siya ng nurse at inihatid sa ward kung nasaan si Maimin. He took out his phone, called Brian and asked him to bring Juna inside. After that he quietly walked towards the bed.

Maimin is sleeping peacefully. He pulled a chair, sat there, gently held Maimin's left hand and put it above his, avoiding the infusion tube inserted in her hand.

Hindi lubos maisip ni Kranz na ang babaeng nag-eenjoy at masaya lang kanina ay mawawalan ng malay at mapupunta sa ospital sa susunod.

And he probably have some clue why she suddenly became like this. He knows she's different, she's not human and what happened earlier was surely due to her using her powers in order to save everyone.

"Maimin... ...thank you for taking care of everyone." He placed a kiss on the top of her hand. "Wake up soon. Hindi mo pa tapos panoorin iyong last movie ng Lord of the rings."

Bumukas ang pinto at pumasok si Brian buhat si Juna. Sinenyasan niya ang mga itong h'wag maingay. Tahimik na inilapag nito si Juna sa tabi ng kama tapos no'n ay lumabas na ng ward.

"Is Maimin okay?" teary eyed na tanong nito.

Ngumiti si Kranz, pinunasan ang luha sa mata ng kapatid saka binuhat ito at pinaupo sa kandungan niya. "Maimin just needs rest and she will be fine."

"I saw it."

"Saw what?"

"Her hands was shining and then the bus flew just like when we fly to the sky. Her whole body was shining!"

Nanlalaki ang mga mata at gulat na tiningnan ni Kranz ang kapatid. "What?" He immediately covered his brother's mouth when he was about to talk. "Can you tell me the whole story when we get home? Brother wants to know what happened."

"Sure." Hinawakan nito ang kamay niya tapos ay pabulong na nagsalita. "but you can't tell Maimin."

"Promised."

There's a knock on the door, after a while Charles went in carrying Maimin's daily necessities at ilang mga damit na gagamitin nito pamalit. It's a good thing Kranz bought casual clothes along with the pretty dresses noong nagpunta sila ng mall.

Dumiretso si Charles sa isang cabinet doon at sinimulang ayusin ang mga damit ni Maimin. Although the doctor said na magigising din agad si Maimin, tinawagan pa rin ni Kranz si Charles para makasiguro.

"I already inform someone from your father's side about what happened. They are already moving to investigate the incident," ani Charles habang itinutupi ang ilang damit. "Aside from us, other kid's parents were also demanding an investigation."

"I already expected it," sang-ayon ni Kranz. "Ang mga batang sakay ng sasakyan ay anak ng mga kilalang tao sa siyudad."

It's not clear who the target of the ambush was. The group who attacked them earlier were not like a group of small thugs. They look like a team of organized criminal. And their target was the bus... ...meaning not a single person.

If it's an organized group kidnapping it will make sense why they want to intercept the bus.

"We're fortunate master Juna's bodyguards were there, otherwise I can't imagine what will happen to the children." Napahinto sandali si Charles at kunot noong binalingan si Kranz. "You were there weren't you?"

Kranz just shrugged his shoulders. "I was worried."

Natawa na lang ito at ipinagpatuloy ang ginagawa. It's master Juna's first trip so it's understandable for master Kranz to follow secretly. But why hide from him? It's not like he'll prevent him from doing so.

"Can we leave you here for a while? Just have to go home and take a bath," he told Charles. "Juna also needs rest."

"Yes master Kranz."

After that Kranz pulled Juna out of Maimin's ward. He wants to get home fast as he's eager to ask Juna about what happened that day with Maimin. Kailangan niya ring malaman kung may iba pa bang nakakita sa mga hindi normal na pangyayari.

Unang-una kailangan niyang puntahan ang junkshop kung saan nila nakita si Maimin at siguruhing walang kahit anong ebidensiya na magpapahamak dito.

What Kranz didn't know was that Zin had been watching him for a while. Looking at his every move and listening to each words he was saying. He just can't get closer to warn Juna because that kid can see him, it would be a big problem if that guy finds out he exist and beside his brother too.

Well... even though Zin deemed humans as unreliable beings the're has been a few that are trustworthy. The young cherubim can't hide her identity forever especially from the people around her.

Zin decided to observe a little more. Kapag nakita niyang maaaring pagkatiwalaan ang Kranz na ito ay siya na mismo ang magpapakita rito para magpaliwanag. It would be great if he can protect Maimin. Limitado ang kapangyarihan niya sa mga tao kaya kahit gusto niyang tumulong kaunti lang din ang magagawa niya.

Nakita niyang lumabas ang lalaking naiwan sa kwarto ni Maimin. Sakto namang pagkaalis nito ay unti-unti na ring nagising si Maimin. Lumipad siya at tumayo sa gilid ng kama.

Puting kisame ang unang tumambad sa paningin ni Maimin nang magising siya. Hindi niya alam kung bakit pero wala siyang lakas at hindi niya maigalaw ang katawan niya. Anong nangyari matapos niyang mawalan ng malay?
