Chapter 12

Amanda sat on her luxurious chair made from pure leather, a one hundred percent high quality wool and mahogany tree for its base. She went to her own private workplace to calm her emotions and feelings. She was so tired from her job and always worrying about her son, Unique.

Sometimes she missed her only true friend, Erena. Even though she was a maid in their house, Amanda treated her very well. They grew up together. Erena was her childhood friend. Amansda couldn't help reminiscing about the time she first met Erena.

Amanda was playing in their wide and well maintained backyard. She was busy admiring the beautiful flowers that were blooming that summer. She liked the fresh and relaxing smell of the flowers. In the midst of her admiration, Amanda was called out by her parents. She turned around and ran towards her mother and father.

While she was running, she saw her nanny standing beside Amanda's parents and at the back of her nanny someone was hiding, it was a child.Amanda hugged her parents and greeted her nanny, Manang Riza. "Good morning, Manang Riza. How are you?" Amanda asked. "I am good. How are you during my vacation?" Manang Riza replied back. "I am also good. I am enjoying the scent of the flowers in the garden," Amanda replied with a bright smile. Amanda's parents smiled while they were listening to the conversation between Amanda and Manang Riza. Amanda's mother turned to Manang Riza. "Manang Riza, why don't you introduce your child to Amanda?" Amanda's mother asked. "Yeah, introduce your child to us and Amanda, " Amanda's father said. Manang Riza brought her child in front of her and introduced her to the Reverizta family with a big, bright smile. "Ma'am, Sir, Amanda, I would like to introduce you to my daughter, Erena.

She is the same age as Amanda, " Manang Riza introduced Erena to the family. "Amanda, I hope that you and Erena will be good friends, " Manang Riza added. Amanda smiled at Erena. Erena smiled back at her with a visible shyness in her. Manang Riza urged Erena to introduce herself. Even though Erena was so shy, she still introduced herself. "Hello, I am Erena. I hope that we will get along together," Erena said, then bowed to hide her face. Amanda smiled at her then introduced herself too. "Hello, Erena. Welcome to Reverizta mansion. I am Amanda. I hope that we get along well too, " Amanda replied while smiling brightly.

Amanda held out her hands to Erena, urging her to shake hands together. Erana doubted at first but eventually took her hand and shook hands with Amanda. Amanda was so glad that she finally had a friend. "Erena, let's go to those flower bushes. Do you like flowers?" Amanda asked. Erena didn't answer her question. She just nodded her head to Amanda. Amanda confirmed that Erena was okay with flowers so she dragged Erena to the nearby flower bushes. Amanda's parents and Manang Riza looked so happy while watching the two enjoying and admiring the full bloom of flowers.

Manang Riza turned to the Reverizta couple. "Ma'am, sir, thank you for granting me permission to bring Erena here, " Manang Riza said with a bitter smile. "It is alright for us. You are already a part of this family so, technically, Erena is also our family, " Amanda's father said. "Yeah, you are part of our family so it means that your daughter is also part of our family. Nothing to worry about. And we are so glad that we finally met your child. It is also good that she is here because of that, Amanda now has a new friend that is her age," Amanda's mother said. Manang Riza smiled warmly at the loving Reverizta couple. She couldn't believe that they would warmly welcome her daughter to their mansion.

She was so thankful that her bosses were really good and kind to her and daughter. "Thank you very much for everything you have done. I really appreciate it. And I will really pay you back for all the things that you have done to me, " Manang Riza said with a visible tear in her eyes. The three lovingly watched Amanda and Erena while they were admiring the beautiful full bloom flowers.

Amanda smiled when she vividly remembered those memories. She was so really glad that her nanny, Manang Riza, introduced her daughter. She remembered all the good times and bad times that they shared together. Amanda remembered her first down moment.

Amanda was crying inside of her room. She was so heartbroken because her boyfriend cheated on her. She caught her boyfriend in the act with one of her friends. She was so devastated because she trusted her friend and ended up being betrayed. She heard a knock on her door. "Who is that? Leave me alone, " Amanda shouted at someone who knocked on the door. "It is me, Amanda. Can I come in?" Erena replied. Amanda recognized the voice of her long time friend. She was so relieved that it was not her parents who knocked on her door. "Yeah, you can come in, " Amanda said while sniffling.

Erena opened the door and walked toward the bed where Amanda was crying herself out. "Are you okay?" Erena asked her with a really worried look on her face. Amanda looked at her for a long time before she answered. "Erena, I am so hurt. I don't know why they did that to me. Am I that unattractive? Am I that not good enough? I always treated them well, " Amanda rumbled to Erena. "I love him so much.

Why did he do this to me? I gave him everything I have. Is that not enough? Am I not enough?" Amanda added. Erena heaved a heavy sigh first before she answered. "Amanda, listen to me. You are good enough. You are kind, beautiful and strong. You don't have to beat yourself like this. You are not at fault here at all.

They are the ones who made a mistake and they are the ones who need your forgiveness, " Erena said while looking at Amanda's eyes. "Besides, there are so many men that will do everything to catch your attention. You don't have to waste your time and tears for that trash man. He was the one who lost a good woman in his life. He will regret cheating on you, " Erena added. Amanda looked at her good friend. She smiled a little then wiped her eyes and nose.

She realized that Erena was right. She was a strong and beautiful woman. She should not waste her time and tears for that trash man. "You are right, Erena. I have to accept it but I have to give him a punishment for breaking my heart. He should remember that I am not an ordinary woman, " Amanda said with determination in her voice. "Yeah, you should give him a punishment. And always remember that I am always here for you. We will solve all your problems together, " Erena said with a big smile on her face. Amanda gave Erena a big and warm hug.

She was so thankful that Erena was there when she didn't know what to do because of the breakup. "Thank you, Erena. I really appreciate your words, " Amanda said and smiled at her.



Amanda smiled bitterly when she remembered her first heartbreak but Erena was always there for her. She never left her not until she passed away. She really missed her so much. She remembered that Erena has a daughter. They lost contact with that daughter when the funeral was over.

"I need to find her daughter. I need to give back all the good things that she had to me, " Amanda said with determination.

And with that she called a private investigator to help her find Erena's daughter.
