LOSTREGO SERIES #2: Twisted Fate

CHAPTER 10 Part 1

I got back home after that tiring day I encountered earlier at school. Nakahiga nadin ako sa kama ko habang nagtitipa ng mensahe kay Lukas patungkol sa gusto nyang mangyari sa debut ko. Nagawa ko ng imbitahan si Sean as my last dance.

He should be happy on that news right? Siya ang namimilit na gawin ko 'to. Then now it's a success. Hindi ko lang maintindihan kung bakit but I just trust him on this one.

Medyo naninibago lang ako ngayon kase lately after I send my update on him or even my boring whatknots on my day, kaagad niya akong nirereplyan. May pagkakataon pa nga na tatawagan niya ako kaagad after he received my text. But now hindi iyon nangyari.

Is he still angry about me? Or busy siya sa training. Oh well...mas mabuti narin siguro iyon kesa mag focus siya sa akin.

He still have a life...

And me also.

Matutulog na sana ako but my phone suddenly light it up because of the one message notification.

Dali dali naman akong napaupo sa kama ko and expecting that Lukas replying on my chats but ended up dissapointing myself because it is not from him.

It is actually from unregistered number.

But After I read that text...

I know it is Sean.

Siya:

I asked your number from my sister If you are wondering on how I get it. :)

Anyway this is Sean. I just want to ask something. Are you still awake?

I pursed my lips to hide my smile after I read his text. He is very direct to the point. I like his attitude. Sobrang baliktad sila ni Pauline.

Ako:

Sure, I am still awake pa naman Sean. What's your concern btw? It is about on my upcoming debut? The preparation ba? Schedules of practiced from our dance? Theme? Etc...

Nagawa ko ng humiga sa kama ko para mas maging komportable matapos ko iyong isend sa kanya.

Wala pa mang isang minuto ang nakakalipas nagawa niya na agad akong replyan.

Siya:

It is okay If I call?

Hindi pa man ako nakakapagtipa ng sasabihin agad na nagvibrate ang phone ko. His unregistered number flashing through my screen.

Naiiling nalang ako habang nangingiting sinagot ang tawag niya.

"Sienna." bungad nya.

"Yep, it's me. What's up. Mr. Klement." I tease.

He chuckled on my greetings kaya miske ako nahawa nadin. I heard his deep baritone voice chuckle's on my phone and made me realize that his voice is so damn pleasing to the ears. Ang sarap pakinggan.

Ofcourse, ganon din naman si Lukas...but Sean voice is something I couldn't explain. It is more soothing.

And yes, It's still awkward but...I tried to being casual. I don't want him to feel uncomfortable.

"Address me by my first name Sienna it is more convienient and you make me more comfortable if you do that." He suggest.

Natawa na ako ng tuluyan doon dahil sa pagtama niya sa akin. He definetely not a type of person na madaling biruin dahil bigla bigla ka nalang kino-correct.

But still I find him funny.

"Noted, Sean." I said teasingly.

I heared him gasped.

"Anyway, I would like to asked what's your likes and hate? Things like that on general? So I have an idea what birthday presents I bought for you."

Kinatigil ko iyon ng saglit at medyo na-touch dahil may pake siya sa mga ayaw at hilig ko. But seriously it is not necessary na bigyan nya ako ng regalo. His presence on my debut is paid off.

"Sean, it's okay...you don't need to give me gifts. Your presence on my birthday is okay and it is something I should thank you. Kung nanaisin ko nga gusto kong imbitahan lahat ng circle of friends mo so you guys could enjoy too. And maybe to resolved my problems in terms of lacking for my 18 roses. Unfortunately kase I'm still looking for it." tuloy tuloy ko ng sabi.

I don't want to miss some opportunity. Sayang din kase.

Hindi siya kaagad nakasagot doon kaya binigyan ko lang siya ng oras para makapag isip. Teka, sumobra na ba ako?

Did I asked too much? Oh hell. Sorry.

I heard him cleared his throat before speaking up. "You sure Sienna? I mean...yeah I can tell them about your concerns and if they agreed expected us on your debut. Usually pumapayag naman yung mga yon," He paused to think before continuing, "Pero hindi lang ako masyadong natuwa sa plano mo...I thought I am that special marami pala kami." He chuckled. " Just kidding atleast I am your last dance."

I drop my jaw open for about a seconds. Where his grudge coming from? Silly. Ofcourse he is more than special than to his friends. I felt embarassed pa nga kanina dahil sa pinaggagawa ko maimbitahan lang siya. Nataon lang kase na talagang nangangailangan lang ako ng tao sa debut ko. Wala naman akong intensyon na iparamdam sa kanya iyon.

But still I get it.

More than 30 minutes of call ata kaming nag usap bago nya tuluyang tapusin ang tawag. He is a good speaker and listener actually. He ask so many things regarding on my debut preparation. Theme, venue even the schedules to our practice and other some stuffs.

Masaya din siya kausap kase ang dami nya ring suggestions. And I take that note at baka ang iba isuggest ko din kila mom.

Yun lang naman.

Hindi ko lang namalayan na sa pagtapos naming mag usap sunod sunod na text messages ang natanggap ko kay Lukas.

Fuck!

Nagmamadali ko ng binuksan ang mga mensahe nya dahil baka mamaya may kung ano na palang nangyari dito.

Siya:

Sorry for the late reply. I ate breakfast downstaire. I forgot my phone. Anyway, That's good. You already have a last dance.

Can I call?

-

Your line is busy.

-

I miss you. Sino katawagan mo?

-

I'm waiting babe.

-

Still not done? Is that important? Who is that? May I know?

Sienna.

-

Damn, I can't connect with your line. You still not done? Sino ba yan?

Half an hour of waiting. I miss you.

10 minutes from now bababa na ako. I have training to attend Sienna.

Baby answer it. I wanna hear your voice, lend me atleast a f*****g minute please. Before I go.

That was his last reply. And almost 15 minutes have pass before I read his text. Damn!

I bit my lips as I feel my chest starts to heavy resulting my heart to pump in fast beat. Kinakabahan na ako at medyo naguilty sa ginawa kong paghihintay sa kanya.

Should I call him? Pero baka hindi nya na masagot dahil nagtatraining na siya. Gosh! That was your fault Sienna.

I think for another option pero wala talang pumapasok sa utak ko. Nilalamon na ako ng concern sa kanya.

Tatawagan ko palang sana siya pero naunahan nya na akong gawin iyon. This time he choose to video calling me kaya kahit na hindi ako kampante sa itsura ko ngayon ginawa ko paring sagutin ang tawag nya dahil baka mamaya wala ng pagkakataon.

My hands are trembling before I answer his call.

I look at him on the screen shyly as I rest my back on my bed while facing him. Napakagat pa ako ng labi ng makita siyang nakasuot ng tracksuit. He is looking good on that outfit kitang kita ang hulma ng katawan nya sa suot nyang iyon. His hair is somehow disheveled at hindi ko alam kung bakit. Pawis na pawis rin siya ng husto.

"Uhm...I'm sorry about earlier—"

"You preparing to sleep? Did I disturb you perhaps?" Medyo hingal nya pang tanong at awang ng bahagya ang labi.

Palinga linga din sya ng tingin at hindi ko matanto kung nasaang lugar sya dahil medyo madilim.

"N-no..no..it's not that. Uhm...anyway where are you babe? I mean Lukas."

Nanlaki ng mata ko matapos kong mapagtanto ang mga pinagsasabi ko.

Shit! What's wrong with you Sienna. Really? Calling him in that way. Nakakahiya!

Namumula na akong tumingin sa kanya habang siya nangingiti sa akin at bahagya pang natatawa.

Naupo din siya sa kaninang pwesto nya at para bang nagtatago siya sa kung saan.

He smirk, "Okay, you forgiven. You calling me what? A Babe huh? I'll take that note." He chuckled and run his hand to his hair.

Naiiling nalang akong umirap sa kanya dahil hanggang dito hindi parin siya matigil sa pang aasar sa akin.

I just got slipped. Masyado kaswng tumatak sakin yung mg mensahe nya na may mga babe at baby. Kaya iyon out of nowhere nabigkas ko. I'm just lutang okay. Hindi ko naman sinasadya.

"Stop it...Nadulas lang naman ako...Tss." I prostested pero natutuwa nadin because of my katangahan.

Mas lalo nya lang iyong kinatuwa at rinig na rinig ko na ang baritono nyang pagtawa.

Tsaka teka nga? Anong forgiven bakit? Anong kasalanan ko sa kanya? Sus.

"Where are you ba Lukas? Your background is dim. I can't see you properly." reklamo ko.

Napatingin ulit siya sa paligid bago ibalik ang mga mata sa akin.

"I'm hidding. Start na ng training ko but I ran away. I need to call you first. Saglit lang naman." He said, proudly like it is not a big deal.

A what?

Napaawang ang labi ko at natigil sandali sa doon. Teka ano?

"W-what are you thinking Lukas? Sige na magtraining ka na...this call can wait naman hindi mo na kailangan pang magtago—"

"I just wanna see you before I do my work. Pang dagdag inspirasyon, so I could do better." He teased while handsomely winking at me.

Baliw!

I look away while holding my smile on what he is saying. Adik ba to? How could I turn to be his inspiration at bakit namin? Is he like me na ba? I bet not.

"Paging to Mr. Lostrego, please return to your track the match will be start. Thank you." I heard on his background.

Taas kilay ko na siyang tinitigan at nangingiti sa pinaggagawa niya.

"Balik ka na daw. Goodbye Lukas." natatawa na.

He groaned loudly tila ayaw pang sumunod sa akin bago siya tuluyang tumayo.

He moistened his lips before smirking on me natatawa nadin sa kakulitan niya.

"Text me when you awake. I call you tommorow morning. Where still not done talking yet 'babe'." pang aasar nya pa sa akin bago naglakad na palabas sa kung saan man siya nagtatago kanina.

I rolled my eyes on him. Naiiling nalang sa kanya.

"End it up, see you tommorow." dagdag nya pa bago ngumiti.

I chuckled on what his doing before I ended up our call.

Napatabon pa ako ng kumot sa buo kong mukha habang mahinang tumitili sa mga nangyari.

Gosh Lukas! What are you doing to me! Hindi na ikaw to! Are you inlove with me now? Damn! What signal is this? You giving me hope.

[One month later.]

"Congratulations to us Sienna, and happy 18th birthday." Pauline happily greeted and start to hug me tightly.

Sinuklian ko naman siya ng mahigpit ding yakap and thanking her for her greet.

Our graduation went smoothly. Wala man akong natanggang na honorable mentions or even academic awards masaya parin ako dahil nasama ako sa mga nakapagtapos. I just can't believe that I will surpass this school year na may makilalang mga bagong kaibigan. Ofcourse beside of Pauline and Sean. I already have connections to some of Sean friends. Kila Liam, Ashton, Connor and Drake.

Not that close but we are far from being strangers.

Pumayag din silang maging 18 roses ko for my debut and the rest are my guy cousins and some relatives. Actually mamayang gabi pa naman ang debut ko at maaga namang natapos ang graduation kaya may oras pa sila para makapag prepared.

"Thank you Pau." I said to her that almost shedding me to tears.

I just can't imagine that I already have a friend.

A real one.

Our parents our seating on the upper part of this auditorium. And I got the chance to look at my mom and dad as long as Kuya Sandro waving their hand.

In that scene hindi ko na napigilan pang hindi maiyak. I just blessed that I have a supporting family and a loving brother.

Sunod sunod ding nagsidatingan sila Sean along with his barkada's.

They all have one roses holding on their hand before they went to me.

Shyly smiling.

"Congratulations Sienna, Happy birthday." Liam said before hug me and give his roses.

This is the first time that a guy 'friend' will hug me just to greet and congrutulated me. Hindi naman sa nakakailang, nakakapanibago lang.

I whispered him thank you and accept his rose before he withdraw himself.

Ganun din ang ginawa nila Connor, Ashton and Drake. Nahiya tuloy ako bigla dahil umiiyak ako dito tapos bigla nila akong lalapitan to give me this.

I saw Pauline happily looking at me lalo na ng palapit si Sean sa akin. He was the last guy who will give me the rose.

I waved my hand to him and start smiling kahit na kagagaling ko lang sa pag iyak kanina.

Tinuyo ko pa ng mabuti ang luha ko bago siya tingnan.

He didn't say any words. He just widely open his arms while facing me at ako nalang ang natatawang lumapit sa kanya para sa isang yakap.

"T-thank you Sean for this..." I said.

Ngumisi siya doon at sinuklian ako ng isa ring mahigpit na yakap.

"Happy birthday. I have an early gift." He whispered to me.

I sniff once because of my running nose at lito ko na siyang tinitigan

Humilay ako saglit sa kanya at may kung ano siyang inilabas sa bulsa ng pants nya at isa iyong maliit na itim na box.

I licked my lips and waited him to open it.

That was nice of him...hindi ko naman ini-expect na may magbibigay sa akin ng regalo. This is too much.

He reveal it after at halos matulala ako sa nakita. It was a white gold diamond necklace.

Oh my! That was expensive! Why did he gave me this.

Napatakip na ako sa bibig ko habang hindi makapaniwalang nakatitig sa kanya.

He chuckled on my reaction at sinimulan ng tanggalin sa pagkaka lock ang kwintas at nilapitan ako ng husto para maisuot iyon sa leeg ko.

I help him out so I put my hair on my right side so he could easily wear it to my neck.

I sob immediately after he done putting it. Napahawak pa ako sa diamond pendant nito with engraving my name when you see it closely.

"That was way better than I imagine Sienna. You look pretty." Sean said.

Napanguso tuloy ako sa kanya at bahagyang tinutuyo ang sariling luha.

"S-sean...this is too much. But I really appreciated it. Thank you talaga."

He smile at me and nod.

Dumating narin kase sa pwesto namin sila mom and dad. Even kuya Sandro immediately hold my wrist at doon mismo nya ako dinala sa tabi ni Pauline malayo kila Sean.

"Hello Tito, Tita. Nice to see you here." Bati ni Sean.

Ganun din ang ginawa ng iba bago ako tuluyang i-excuse nila mama sa kanila.

Na-orient ko narin naman na sila sa mga gagawin mamaya at may background narin sila sa mga mangyayari. I have a lot of things to do pa kase. Make up, fitting my gown etc...
