CHAPTER FIVE
Vandelbort Restaurant. Iyon ang agad na bumungad sa paningin ni eisha ng malapit siya sa building. All she see was people taking a zip on their coffee, perhaps coffee lang ang inaaya nila.
"Papasok ba tayo o Hindi?" Narinig niyang tanong ni jhiezel. Nauna siyang pumasok doon, they were greeted by a girl who happens to be waiter.
"Good evening ma'am.. Where do you like to seat?"
She took a glance around and her eyes took off near the window. It is a glass window which makes her want to seat there.
"There.." she said, pointing at the table #20.
"Alright ma'am.. please follow this way.." Sinundan nila ang babae. They seat comfortably while waiting for jaspher to come.
"Do you need anything ma'am?"
"Just a cup of two coffee.."
"Alright madam.. Is that all?"
"Yeah.. for awhile.."
"Thank you. Your order will come in a minute.."
"Thank you.."
Nang umalis ang babae ay nakahinga siya ng maluwag. Tatawa tawa naman si jhiezel na kaharap niya. Of course, she was stammering since, not to mention that This was her first time entering a restaurant. Usually kasi ay sa mga kanto kanto lang sila kumakain kaya naman bumase lang siya sa mga nababasa niya sa mga libro. Atsaka hindi niya alam ang mga tawag sa mga mamahaling pagkain.
"Alam mo, I was thinking na tama yung desisyon mo.." Kusang napatingin siya kay jhiezel. Hindi niya naintindihan ang ibig niyong sabihin.
"Anong ibig mong sabihin?"
"Alam mo kasi bes, even if you didn't show that you was rejected by louie, alam na namin, just by looking at your eyes.."
Natahimik siya sa tinuran nito.
"Don't get me wrong, pero no matter how hard you try to hide, It will always show. Hindi man nila nakikita sa iyong mukha pero I can see it in your eyes.."
"Advice ba yan be?" Pang aasar niya dito.
"Psh.. Ito naman-" jhiezel was interrupted by the waitress.
"Here is you coffee ma'am." Anito at nilapag ang coffee nila sa kaliwang gilid nila.
"Enjoy your coffee maam" dagdag pa nito bago umalis. Mabango ang amoy ng kape. Pumapasok sa kalamnan niya na tila nag aanyaya na tikman na niya ito, which she did.
"Masarap ang coffee nila bes, I wonder if their food is also yummy.."
"Maglabas ka ng pera mo at bahala akong oorder" pang iinis niya sa kaibigan niya na tinawanan lang nito. After a minute, jhiezel tell her na kailangan niya ding pumunta sa kabilang resto- where she and his boyfriend will meet up. Pinagbilinan niya ito na bago mag ten ay dapat nakabalik na siya sa kinaroroonan nila ngayon. Jhiezel agree before she leaves. She sigh deeply. It seems yago is not a good boyfriend, she thinks of that.
"Oh hi? I'm a little bit late.. " She take a look on jaspher when he sat the vacant seat occupy by her bestfriend awhile ago. Jaspher is indeed handsome. Walang duda na marami ang humahanga dito.
"Hi.. Ang gwapo mo ngayon ah!" Casual niyang sabi rito na ikinangiti nito. She was the kind of girl na prangka magsalita.
"Thank you.. your beautiful too!"
She took a zip of her coffee at pinag cross ang kanyang mga binti.
"Bakit kape Lang ang order mo?"
"I haven't tell to you na this is my first time,probably you know na hindi ko alam kung ano ang mga tawag sa mga pagkain.." diretsong sabi niya. Hindi niya ugaling magpaligoy ligoy.
"Waiter!" Ani jaspher habang siya ay naka tingin lang sa cellphone niya.
"Yes sir?"
"I would like to order 2 hot toccino and hotdog. And two pair of rice"
" Is that all sir? What about your drinks Sir?"
"2 cups of tea" tatalikod na sana ang babae ng magsalita siya.
"Do you have fruits?"
"We do ma'am.."
" I prefer sliced banana and of that too" she pointed the picture that makes the waitress smile. Maybe, in her mind, she was first timer which is absolutely true.
"Hey. I am jaspher guevarra, 18 years old, i was in a junior high taking for a tvl strand.. What about you?"
"You know my name and my school, what else would you want me to say.."
"Just nevermind... Anyway do you have a boyfriend?"
"None at all.." bored niyang sagot at tumingin sa kanyang cellphone. She text jhiezel what they are doing now pero ilang minuto ay walang reply kaya naisip niyang makipag usap muna sa binata.
"I was taking tvl too, But it haven't been my passion.." she finally started talking to him.
"Then why did you still pursuing that strand?"
"It's not because i don't want my strand. Who am I to defy my parent's ability? This school doesn't offer humes, so I have to go through tvl.." mahabang sabi niya rito.
" But they say there is a way out if you really don't want that strand.!"
She shook her head. Not wanting to show her dismay.
"In what way? Kapag nasa poder ka pa ng magulang mo, sila ang kokontrol sayo, no matter how much you want to argue with them, you will still lose and end up rebellious.."
"Here's your order sir/ma'am!"
"Thank you!" Sabay nilang sabi na ikinangiti ng waitress. Nag paalam ito kaya nagsimula na silang kumain.
"I conclude, your family is on middle class no.."
"Oo, parang ganon na rin.."
"Oh.."
Tahimik ulit silang kumain. She glance on her watch and took her cellphone. Jhiezel still had no reply.
"I like you eisha.."
She eyed him with disbelief. Did he just tell her those words?
"I beg your pardon?"
" I said, I like you.. I was hoping I can court you.."
She fell silent for a moment. If she will give him a chance then what will louie think of her?
'Why are you even thinking of him when he didn't think of you!!' Kastigo ng isip niya.
'Don't give in, How can you be so sure if he likes you.' her heart tells. She doesn't want this kind of problem so in order to stop, she gots into a decision. She will let him court her if she will rightly answers her question.
"Are you a liar or not?"
"Of course, I am not a liar!"
"Okay then, You have my blessing.."
