Chapter 09: 

Dawn Scarlet

It's been another two days and I felt quite better now, but I still can't get over what is happening to me. Not to mention the unusual tattoo I have on my wrist and the nine-tailed fox in my room! Aurelius already questioned the tattoo I have but luckily he did not seem to question the nine-tailed fox which I name Yuki. Well, Yuki can hide his eight tails so the Emperor did not pay much attention to it, but he did ask where did I got such a rare fox and I told him that maybe it followed me all the way here since I don't remember anything about my childhood.

Pinaniwalaan niya ang sinabi ko tungkol kay Yuki pero yung tattoo ko ang hindi dahil nakita niya dati ang pulsuhan ko at alam niyang wala akong tattoo doon. I just told him that it was actually there all along and he did not notice it because I tried to cover it with medicine since I think it is not good for a woman to have a tattoo.

Nang sabihin ko yun ay agad niyang sinabi na wag ko ng itago ang tattoo dahil hindi naman ilegal ang pagkakaroon ng tattoo ng isang babae, he even said that the tattoo is too beautiful to be hidden. 

And now that I am already fine I am going to check how his legs are dahil baka pwede nadin namang tanggalin ang cast niya para makauwi na ako. Feeling ko pag nagtagal pa ako sa lugar na to ay lalong dadami ang weird na mga bagay na nangyayari saakin.

"Hey sister-in-law! Ayos ka na ba? Wala ka namang injury diba?" - halos mapatalon ako dahil sa gulat nang biglang sumigaw ang bwiset na si Trajan mula sa malayo. Damn I am actually planning to avoid him pero ang nakakainis ay hindi man lang niya ako binigyan ng pagkakataon para magkaiwas! Ang bilis niya akong makita!

"Ayos lang ako.." - matipid kong saad and before I could even start walking ay naramdaman ko nalang ang presnsya niya sa tabi ko at naka-akbay na siya saakin. Wait before I forget this man just spoke a commoner's language right?!

Since The language here is different from what I used in my last life but I can understand both. The English from my last life is just like their first language here but is commonly used by royalties or merchants while the commoner's language or from my last life is like Filipino is commonly used by those who actually don't have any social status or if the two persons communicating are indeed very close

"Good sister-in-law, I was worried sick about you. " - he exclaimed which made me frown. This is the second time he called me sister-in-law right? This man is a bastard

"Prince Trajan, can you remove your hands around my shoulder " - I said and he immediately removed his hands at mabilis akong naglakad papalayo sakanya. Pero ramdam ko ang pagsunod niya saakin. Mas mabuti pa tuloy yung nakakulong ako sa kwarto ko at nagpapahinga para hindi ako maistorbo ng isang to tsk.

"Saan ka pupunta sister-in-law?!" - he exclaimed which made me roll my eyes. Hindi ko nalang siya pinansin at dire-diretso akong naglakad hanggang nakarating na ako sa study hall ni Aurelius and to my dismay ay nakasunod padin saakin ang bwiset na si Trajan.

"Oh I see you are going to talk with your future husband" - he commented dahilan para mabilis akong mapalingon sakanya. Muntik ko na ngang makalimutan na prinsipe siya dahil muntikan ko na talaga siyang masuntok dahil sa kung ano-anong pinagsasabi niya. 

"I will not disturb you anymore hehehe byeee sister-in-law!!!" - he exclaimed and before I could even react ay tumakbo na siya paalis. I can't help but to roll my eyes dahil napaka isip bata niya padin at hindi iyon nababagay sa kanyang edad. 

I heave a deep sigh at kumatok na ako sa pintuan ng study hall ni Aurelius.

"Your highness, it's Doctor Dawn Scarlet"

"Come in" - I heard him say at agad ko din namang binuksan ang pintuan at pumasok na ako sa loob. And I there I saw him sitting on the wheelchair I designed near the window while reading a book.

"What do you need?" - he asked as he closed the book and he shift his gaze at me. Kung hindi lang talaga hari ang isang ito ay baka niland-- nevermind.

"I would just like to check your legs if it is already healed or halfway from healing" - I said and he immediately nodded his head which is a signal for me to get close. 

"Pardon me your highness" - I said and I remove part of his clothes that is covering the cast. I closed my eyes and I put my fingers on the bone just right above the upper end of the cast. The way I am doing it is way different than those I do in my past life. And I don't know how but when I close my eyes and I use the same way as when I check the pulse of the patient I can determine if the part of the body of a patient is already healed or not. 

Siguro isa yun sa sinasabi ni Fourteen two days ago na isa sa mga special skills ko. Argh! Wait a minute bakit ko nga ba iniisip yung mga sinabi ni Fourteen?! 

"How is it?" - biglang tanong ng mahal na hari dahilan para agad akong mapatingin sakanya and I froze when I saw him looking at him. At ng marealize ko na naka eye-to-eye ko ang mahal na hari ay agad akong napaiwas ng tingin at siya naman ay napaubo

Ang tanga ko naman kasi at bigla-bigla akong tumitingala! Tsk pero mas tanga din to at nagpapahuling tinititigan niya ako! Joke ang feelingera ko naman, pinapaasa ko lang ata ang sarili ko. Not to mention that I really don't plan in having any love interest as of the moment.

"So How is it Dawn?" - he asked again which made me return my gaze to his legs. It is quite impressive that his legs are healing quite fast. Though I predicted that his legs will heal for about two to three weeks ay mukhang one-week lang ata magaling na ito

"Your highness, do your wound heals fast?"- I ask as I finally remove my hands from his legs.

"Yes, why?"

"I believe it is the reason why your legs are healing faster than the normal rate. I will be able to remove the cast a few days from now and you will be able to return to your normal life"- nakangiti kong saad kasabay ng pagtayo ko at ang simple kong pagpag-pag ng aking damit. Napatingin ako sakanya and I almost have a nosebleed when I saw how handsome he is while looking outside the window with his hands under his chin. 

I can't believe that I am still fascinated with handsome men! Gosh, Ang alam ko ay naka get-over na ako sa kaweirduhan ko na'to dahil in my last life when I was in high school till the first year of med school ay I do fancy handsome men usually Korean artist or anime characters and I always keep a picture of them in my phone. 

And this emperor here is just like an anime character!

"Good to hear that my legs are getting well since I am also planning to have our wedding next week" - he suddenly said dahilan para mapabalik ako sa ulirat and also made me almost faint.

Okay! Hindi ko alam kung pang ilang beses ko ng sinabi ang phrase na yun pero totoo naman kasi! That man- or rather that stingy Emperor is planning to have OUR wedding next week! At sinasabi ko sainyo ayoko talagang magpasakal- este magpakasal! 

Hindi nga ako nagpakasal sa last life ko kahit naabot ko na ang pangarap ko, dito pa kaya? Right  now I am thinking of a plan to freaking avoid that marriage. 

Run away and hide? No that isn't possible, well it may be effective for a few days but since he is the freaking Emperor he will f*****g find ways to find me! At sigurado ako na ang ang mangyayari saakin niyan ay kada araw palipat lipat ako ng lugar, damn nakakapagod kaya yun!

Should I marry someone else? f**k no! Ayoko nga magpakasal sa isang Emperor sa iba pa kaya! Argh this is really getting annoying! Eh kung magpakamatay nalang kaya ako.. hindi yung literal na deads, I'll just fake my death, maybe that's possible. 

Arghhhh ewan! Hindi ko na alam ang gagawin ko! Hindi ko pa nga nadi-digest yung mga sinabi ni fourteen saakin two days ago tapos etong kasal kasal pa! Seriously? Sinong maniniwala na ang isang ordinaryong tao na walang ibang ginawa kundi magpagaling ng mga may sakit ay isang 'Divine Lady'. Like what the f**k? Uso pala dito ang mga ganyan and not to mention that this white fox does follow me around but I don't f*****g know what this red feather tattoo actually mean!

"Congrats sa kasal mo Divine Lady Dawn Scarlet" - I heard someone said behind me and when I turn around ay agad na umasim ang mukha ko ng makita ko kung sino ang nagsalita.

"What the heck are you doing here Fourteen?! "- singhal ko sakanya. Bigla bigla nalang kasi siyang sumusulpot kung saan parang kabute! Papano nalang kung saktong nagbibihis ako? tsk 

"Of course I am checking on the Divine Lady soon to be Empress" - nakangisi niyang sagot which made me roll my eyes at him. 

"Don't mention that thing Fourteen. Pinapasakit mo lalo ang ulo ko. Tsk hindi ko naman kasi ginusto ang mgaing sinasabi mong Divine Lady lalong lalo na hindi ko ginustong magkagusto saakin ang haring yun." - I scoffed and I heard him laugh

"Hindi daw ginusto, eh sa pagkakatanda ko gwapong gwapo ka sakanya noong una niyong pagkikita" - he said which made my eyes grew wide. What the heck?! Papano niya nalaman na gwapong-gwapo ako sa lalaking yun?

"I know because I am always watching you. Duh? You are my mission given by God so it is my duty to watch over you and that includes whatever you are thinking" - he said with a smile plastered on his face which instantly made me freeze on where I am standing. He just said that he could read what is on my mind right? He freakin said that he can read my mind!!

This bastard is stepping his boundaries! What's on my mind is my private matters!!! 

"I am one of God's people so technically the rule of privacy does not work on me" - nakangiti pading saad ni Fourteen.

"Just shut up Fourteen and help me on how can I escape this marriage thing! " - inis kong saad. Ayoko ng makipagtalo sakanya. Kung nababasa niya man kung anong nasa isip ko wala na akong pake basta ang gusto ko ay hindi matuloy ang kasal na sinasabi ni Aurelius! I am not really ready for marriage!

"Sorry Dawn Scarlet but you cannot escape the marriage and you cannot strip from your title as the Divine Lady of this world" - sagot niya saakin at base sa tono ng kanyang boses ay halatang seryoso siya sa kanyang sinabi. Hindi ko tuloy mapigilan ang mapa buntong hininga. So ano? Mapipilitan akong tanggapin ang kasal? Gosh I don't even love the guy. Oo sabihin na nating nagwapuhan ako sakanya pero iba yun eh! Also the title of being the said Divine Lady des not really suit me!

"Dawn Scarlet, this is your fate. Even if you are not murdered and wished for another chance. God will still find a way to reincarnate you and make you a Divine Lady and be the wife of the ruler of the world you are in"- he said again which made my jaw drop. What the heck? Is he serious?! 

"Yes I am serious. So you better accept your fate and do your best to lead this world with the Emperor" - nakangiti niyang dagdag sa kanyang sinabi dahilan para mapamura ako ngmalutong saaking isipan.

Fuck! I am doomed.

Aurelius Shen

"Brother are you really going to push through the wedding next week?" - agad akong napatingin sa kapatid ko dahil sa kanyang tinanong. When I look at his face, I saw a glimpse of worriedness on it. Of course, I know what he is worried about. 

Being a royal family, having lots of enemies has been a normal thing. Assassination attempts have been my breakfast, lunch, and dinner ever since I was born. Before the one behind it is my mother, or rather should I call her my stepmother since I recently found out that she is not my biological mother and she is also the one who killed my biological mother. 

Now, we still have no clue who is the person behind the different assassination attempts. My soldiers are trying their very best in finding clues especially who the f**k is behind the attack a few days ago that almost endangered Dawn's life. 

"Yes I am serious brother" - I answered him and I heard him heave a deep sigh.

"Alright, I am not against your marriage brother but what about those daughters of the dukes, prime ministers, and counts? Not to mention that we promise that there will be a selection three days from now?" - he said which made me frown. Damn. I also forgot that I asked one of the ministers to prepare a banquet for a selection of possible ladies to be my fiancé. 

And it is against the law that I will announce my fiancé before the selection, it will cause quite a ruckus especially if the dukes are involved. Not to mention Dawn does not have a title and her background is not yet confirmed. The dukes will find a way to not let Dawn by my fiancé

"Purchase a title for Dawn's brother and put her name on the list of those who will attend the selection. I am not planning on taking other women to be my fiancé and I am not also planning on taking in a damn concubine. I already made up my mind for Dawn to be my only wife and the Empress" - Seryoso kong saad at kitang kita ko kung paano ngumisi ang kapatid ko. In our country, it is only natural for a ruler to have an Empress and a concubine. However, I already planned not to take a concubine. I prefer to have one wife that will become Empress since I have already proven that having concubines will create a fuss and will cause the deaths of children and their mothers. I don't want what happened to me in the past to happen to my future heir.

"Consider it done, brother. I was afraid that you are also planning to get a concubine." - he said with a smile that made me grin. Now I can't wait to have Dawn to be my wife. She is my fate; I am fated to be with her and she is fated to be with me. And whoever tries to hinder us shall suffer.
