TRANSMIGRATE

Chapter 08: First Attempt

Pagkalabas na pagkalabas ko ng bintana ay agad kong sinundan ang amoy ng dugo. Well, I am a doctor and I can easily smell blood even though it is meters away, I also worked on the military field before and so it is also easy for me to detect blood lust from people. And it is no different now that there are assassins in the palace.

Assassins have intense blood lust especially if they are well trained. Sinundan ko lang ang amoy and then not just long nakita ko na ang hinahanap ko. Trajan is fighting the assassins with a sword as his weapon. However, I can see that he is quite in the disadvantage. Before revealing my presence tiningnan ko muna ang paligid.

There are 10 assassins present in the battlefield, 3 are wounded, 7 are still standing and surrounding the Prince. However, I can still feel another blood lust not in this place.. But where is it? Who could that be?

"Di ko inaasahan na mauuna pa nating mapatay ang isang prinsipe" - I heard one of the said at kitang kita ko ang pagdilim ng mukha ni Trajan. This is the first time I saw him with that look. Of course he will be angry! Sino ba naman ang hindi magagalit kapag ininsulto ka diba? But what I did not except that he is also capable of making such look.

"You can't kill me that fast. I will not let you kill anybody here especially my brother and his wife" - He said dahilan para bumilib ako sakanya ng two percent pero ng marealize ko kung anong sinabi niya ay nawala ang pagka-bilib ko sakanya. Like heck! I am not his brother's wife!

"We'll see about to that" - narinig ko pang saad ng isa sa mga assassin at sabay sabay silang sumugod. Hinanda ko na ang sarili ko at ng malapit na ang isa sakanila kay Trajan ay agad kong hinagis ang isa sa mga dagger ko at agad itong bumaon sa ulo ng isa sa mga assassin at bago pa man sila maka -react ay naghagis ulit ako ng isa at sa ikalawang pagkakataon ay isa nanaman ang nabawas sa kalaban.

"Sinong nandyan?! - one of the assassins exclaimed dahilan para mapalingon sila saakin. Dumukot ulit ako sa damit ko ng dalawa pang natitirang dagger. Mabuti nalang talaga at apat ang pinagawa ko. I hope I'll remember to get that two other that is buried on those two assassins head. It's just a waste that the one I killed are already wounded, I am expecting to kill the one without wounds. 

"What do we have here.. The target just revealed herself.." - Saad noong parehong assassin na unang nagsalita kanina at kitang kita ko sa mata niya ang pagkasabik. Tinaas niya ang kanyang kamay at pintik niya ang kanyang daliri and as if on cue ay agad na bumaling saakin ang atensyon ng natitirang walong assassin. They are about to make theer move ng biglang iharang ni Trajan ang sarili niya para sakanya ma-pokus ang atensyon ng mga ito.

"What  the heck are you doing here Dawn Scarlet?! They are after you! Umalis ka na!" - Trajan exclaimed which made me roll my eyes. I am a doctor, gifted with talent and hands to heal but who said that I could not also kill with these hands? I tried my best not to kill in my past life. Even if it's an enemy I tried my very best to cure them and just let them stay in prison, even my family who only cares about money, I loved them unconditionally and I did not chose to rebel even if I am given a choice that time that I can fully cut my connection with them. Even the major, who I adored killed me while I am asleep together with my sister.

And with all that has happened in my past life, I already told myself since I came here that I am going to live my life to the fullest, I will not anything hinder me from being a doctor that can serve the people. I will not let anyone destroy my life again because now I think it is time that I will use my hands for another purpose.

Third Person's Point of View

Humigpit ang hawak ni Dawn sa dagger at ang kaninang puno ng emosyong mukha niya ay napalitan ng iang blankong mukha. 

"Get her!" - sigaw noong parang leader ng mga assassin dahil kanina pa ito utos ng utos sakanila. Agad na sinunod ng mga walang ginagawang kalaban si Dawn dahilan para mapamura si Trajan. Trajan pushed the assassin he is currently fighting and his sword immediately went through the body of the other one that is about to attack him from behind. 

Tatakbo na sana si Trajan papunta kay Dawn ng makita niya na nasa sahig na ang isa at naliligo na ito sa sarili nitong dugo at ang isa naman ay sakal-sakal ng dalaga at kahit medyo malayo siya dito ay kitang kita niya kung paano bumaon sa dibdib ng kalaban ang maliit na dagger ng doktor. 

"f**k! Unahin niyo ang doktor! Akala ko ba hindi siya marunong lumaban?!" - the leader exclaimed at ng marinig ito ni Dawn ay agad na hinanap ng mata niya ang napaka-ingay na kalaban, and when her eyes landed on the enemy ay agad niya itong binigyan ng isang nakakalokong ngiti.

When their eyes met ay awtomatikong nakaramdam ang lider ng mga assassin ng kakaibang takot. In his eyes he saw a giant red bird behind Dawn's back. He know that  is a Phoenix, the legendary bird. The four remaining assassins, beside their leader, rushed to attack Dawn but even before they could get close to her ay bigla nalang tumilapon ang apat na assassin. Ang dalawa ay nahulog sa malapit na pond dahilan para malunod ito at ang dalawa na naman ay dumiretso ang katawan sa isang magkahiwalay na puno. The both assassins broke the bones in their body when they crashed on the trees at sabay na dumausdos ang walang buhay nilang katawan sa lupa. But they did not die because of the impact.. they died because of the dagger buried deep on their chests.

"Die" - Dawn said and in just a blink of an eye ay bumaon sa puso ng natitirang assassin ang isang dagger. The dagger even almost sliced the prince face. Bumagsak ang lider sa pond at unti-unting lumulubog ang katawan nito.

Prince Trajan looked at Dawn with a shock face. At akamang lalapitan niya ito ng may nakita siya kung anong bagay na nasa balikat nito. 

Napatulala si Prince Trajan ng makita ito sa balikat ni Dawn at dahil sa kanyang pagkabigla ay huli na ng napansin niyang nawalan ng malay ang dalaga.

"Dawn Scarlet!"

"Tell me it's been two days and she hasn't still woken up! You are all useless doctors!" 

huh? what the heck is going on? why the heck is my room so noisy? Nahimatay ba ako during night shift sa hospital o sadyang napahimbing lang ang tulog ko?

"Y-y-your highness, we beg your pardon but we really don't know what's wrong with Doctor Dawn." 

What? You highness? What the heck -- oh s**t I almost forgot the fact that I actually transmigrated to another world when I died. But how the heck did I lost consciousness?

"Get out!" - the emperor exclaimed dahilan para mapadilat ako dahil sa gulat. Walang hiyang lalaking to! Kung makasigaw naman siya parang walang maiistorbo ah? Kung saktong naistorbo ang tulog ko dahil sa pagsigaw niya ay siguradong nasuntok ko na siya

"Don't make them leave I am already awake" - Saad ko at nakita ko ang ang awtomatikong paglingon niya saakin at kapansin-pansin din ang pagbuntong hininga ng dalawa pang lalaking nandito sa kwarto ko. I think they are the Imperial Doctors. How damn ironic that I am a doctor yet I am also being taken care of by a doctor.

"Check her pulse!" - the emperor exclaimed at parang nataranta naman ang dalawa at dali-daling lumapit saakin ang isa. Naglagay siya ng isang maliit na tela sa pulso ko at tska niya nilagay ang dalawang daliri niya upang tingnan ang pulso ko.

Well it is an etiquette in the palace that if a woman is being checked male doctors are obliged to put a piece of cloth on the patient's wrist. I just heard it before and I really don't know why. Maybe the doctors are afraid that the husband of the patient will be jealous. However as for my case, wala naman magse-selos dahil wala naman akong love interest sa lugar na 'to. 

"She really is fine your highness. I am not sure if she just fainted because of fatigue" - the doctor said at kitang kita ko ang pawis na lumalabas sa noo niya. Okay I understand him being nervous since they had just been yelled at by the emperor but having such reaction while checking my pulse and telling his observations will leave a different impression. 

"How do you feel Dawn Scarlet?" - Aurelius Shen suddenly asked me which made me started to check my own body. Hindi ko alam kung paano ko ba sasabihin sakanya to' but I do feel something weird from my body. I am pretty sure na kapag sinabi ko ito sakanya at pahihirapan niya ang dalawang doctor na to' 

I am also well aware that the problem is not physically but more like spiritually. In my one year of stay here I have known that people here are not entirely normal, some can actually use magic.

"I am fine" - I just said and he just made a hand gesture and the two imperial doctors finally left. At tanging kami nalang dalawa ang naiwan.

"Tell me what exactly happened two days ago?" - seryoso niyang saad dahilan para mapangiwi ako. So I am actually asleep for 2 days? Now that he is asking me what happened actually I don't actually quite understand as well. Anyways, I just better tell him the truth if I don't want to lose my head.

Sinubukan kong umupo at sinandal ko ang aking likod sa headboard ng kama. Seryoso ko siyang tiningnan. Only then I realized that he is already sitting on the wheelchair I aksed the craftsman to make him. Sabagay, dalawang araw na ang nakalipas, maybe the craftsman decided to have it delivered her since I told him that it is for the Emperor. 

"Will you believe me that I only remember killing two of those assassins and I suddenly felt like my soul is being removed from my body?"

"What?!" - he exclaimed. Dahil sa biglaan niyang pag sigaw ay natural na magulat ako, muntikan pa nga akong mapatalon mula sa kama. Siraulo din ksaing lalaking to at bigla-bigla nalang sumisigaw.

"Your highness can you keep your voice down. Kulang nalang mabasag ang eardrums ko dahil sa lakas ng sigaw mo" - I seriously said and he automatically shot me a glare dahilan para mapatawa ako ng peke. Ang tanga ko talaga! He is the f*****g emperor and I just dared to say such nonsense!

"*ehem* Anyway, when I felt my soul being removed from my body, I just saw everything turned into the color of the night sky, then I saw a blinding light and everything just disappeared" - Pagdi-divert ko ng atensyon niya and I think I just succeeded dahil mukhang malalim siyang napaisip dahil sa sinabi ko.

*ehem* How can I put it.... Actually what I told him right now is just half of the story. I did see something and I was able to have a conversation with him.

I saw him opened his mouth and I know he is about to say something when someone knocked on the door and interrupted whatever he is about to say. 

"Your Highness, the prince of Calurd is looking for you"

"You'll stay here Dawn Scarlet and have a rest. I'll just have a quick talk and I'll come back to check on you" - he said and I just nod my head. Nanatili lang akong nakatingin sa papa-alis niyang pigura at nang masiguro kong wala na siya ay napahawak ako sa dibdib ko.

What happened two days ago felt like a dream but I know it is true. 

"Mabuti naman at nagising ka na. Well I guess it is my fault why you were actually in coma for two days since I forced your soul out of your body to be able to talk to you" - I heard a familiar voice said at agad kong hinanap ang pinangalingan ng boses and I immediately frown when I saw the man who I just had conversation with two days ago, he is also the one who actually saved my soul and transferred it here in the not so ancient realm.

"I thought you will just watch me from afar, Fourteen" - I said as I raise my eyebrow at him. He said that he is one of the five gods of this realm and when he actually saw how I died he decided along with the other four to save me.

"Well, dapat nga ay wala ako dito ngayon. But I am worried that maybe I caused damaged to your spirit and at some point created a damage to the power inside you" - he said which made me frown. Alright, I do believe that magic exists but why the heck did he say that there is a power inside me? 

Before I could even react ay naramdaman ko nalang ang kamay niya sa aking noo. 

"I guess your power restored itself, as expected with the Divine Lady" - he suddenly said with a smile at ako naman ay awtomatikong nanlaki ang mata.

"What the hell are you saying?! What Divine Lady?!" - I exclaimed and he just laughed

"The white nine tailed fox beside you and the red feather tattoo on your wrist are just some of the proof of what I said." - he said dahilan para mapatingin ako sa aking tabi at nandoon nga ang isang puting fox na may anim na buntot. It is looking at me straight in the eyes.

Tangina! Saan galing ang isang to?! And what did he just said tattoo?!

Dali dali kong tiningnan ang kamay ko and I turned pale when I saw that there is indeed a red feather on it..

"What the heck-- Fourteen?! Where the heck are you?!" - I exclaimed then I clenched my teeth when I cannot find him anywhere my room. That bastard! I thought I should be grateful when he actually helped me in living again but now that I have this strange things I am quite doubtful if I can still survive this place!
