Jaydee
"Get up and eat!" Jayem squealed while shaking me on the bed. We are at the dorm now and we don't have scheduled activities today that's why, instead of going out, they accompanied me in isolation. I've been rolling on my bed the whole day because I can't go out due to the issue I'm in right now. While, the rest were enjoying on playing games together using the Laptop that our member Loey who is a gamer, gave to each of us.
“hmmmm…” I groaned and slammed my pillow on top of my face and turned my back from him.
"Will you please, Don't neglect your health?" Jayem said in a worried tone while leaning on my back, and all his weight was on me that made me feel heavy.
"Weeeeeeyy..." I murmured. As the leader of the group, our Jayem is always taking responsibility to all of us. He will always be there to act as a mother and father to any of the members who needs attention and care.
"Aweeeeeeyyyy..." He replied copying me. He even took the blanket and devastated me like a storm.
"I can't eat." I covered myself again with the blanket but he took it again.
“hey! Hey!” he bleated. he is very persistent and now he is tickling me to my soft spots, that pushed me to wrestle him.
While in the middle of battle between us, Sean came in running and shouting.
"big bro! big bro!" he squealed.
Jayem and I paused wrestling each other and we both looked at Sean.
“What?” I asked.
He threw himself on the bed with us and started scrolling his phone and showed me something from it.
“this is the lawyer from the opposite side right?” he said while showing me the picture of that woman I met at the police station.
"Atty. Angel Imperial, a famous Lawyer who specialize in rape cases," Sean continued while reading an article about her. He continued to scroll. "it says here that all the cases she handles always win regardless if the accused is innocent or not."
I rolled my eyes, sat on the side of the bed and crossed my arms. "So what? The truth is I am not guilty and I have nothing to worry about."
Sean raised his shoulder and made a bad face. "Well, as far as my research is concerned, she doesn’t even care if you’re guilty or not. That kind of lawyers will not allow themselves to lose as per her record is concerned.” He looked so proud of himself. Alright, thanks to this Genius baby, I am now starting to feel claws on my chest.
“well, you must believe to what our youngest is saying, you know he has a high IQ equivalent to a dolphin right?” Jayem thrown his crackhead humor trying to lighten up the mood.
But it wasn’t effective as I am becoming more worried, what if I will really go to jail? All my hard work and dreams will just come to ashes if that happens. I suddenly remember all my hardships before I become an artist. From the audition, five years of being a trainee, and the debut years wherein we only get a bag of rice as a compensation to our best performance. I also remember my debut as a solo artist wherein I had my first solo album. It was hard to sell even just one copy of it, but I just consoled myself and think that all the songs from that album will bring comfort to all the lonely people who needs to find peace in their hearts, so I came to a point wherein I am giving it away to lonely people for free. And I know somehow in my heart, I knew it did console them, because my album had given an impact to a lot of lives. And all of those will be gone just because of this one mess I am not guilty with.
I don’t know if this is right but, my mind is starting to form some sort of idea out of desperation. I stood up and went to the washroom.
“hey? Where are you going?” Jayem asked as he was puzzled with my action.
I did not even bother answering him, instead I took a bath, brushed my teeth and groomed myself. As soon as I finished Jayem continued to bug me.
“what are you trying to do?” he is starting to get worried as it was felt from his voice. “I am just going somewhere,” I answered him.
“you can’t go out, you know that there are paparazzi and crazy fans outside,” he is now trying to stop me. “I can take care, just trust me,” I insisted and about to go outside when he held my wrist.
I turned and stared at him, anticipating his words.
“can you at least tell me where are you going as a benefit of the doubt?” he pleaded.
I turned to him and paused for a moment, while Sean is already lying on the bed turning on his side with his left arm as a standee to his tilted head facing towards us as if he was posing for a calendar.
“I am going to talk to Angel Imperial,” I told them.
“seriously?” Jayem’s face was full of disbelief.
“why not?” Sean supported me. “fighting!” he added while raising his right fist. “that is not a good idea bro, what if she doesn’t believe you?” Jayem is still in doubt with what I am planning to do.
With a sigh I replied. “there is no other way, I will get her by hook or by crook.”
“what???” Jayem shouted as he was confused with my last words, and he and Sean looked at each other, meanwhile, Sean raised his shoulders and gave him a gesture that says ‘just let him do so’
“I’ll just give it a try,” I said trying to console my worried big bro.
Then he answered by nodding his head as he has nothing to do with my irrevocable decision. “thanks,” I replied and went my way outside. It’s true, there were some crazy fans outside waiting for me to come out and tried to mob me as I went inside the car. But I am still the slippery one.
I drove the car and see to it that no paparazzi will be able to follow me to where I am going.
Angel imperial, here I come. Please be good to me.
