As it turns out, that jerk Christian (bless his soul), as hateful and crazy as he was, left Daisy with the ultimate treasure trove that will pin her step dad down, strip him from every centavo on his being and put him away in jail. I mean that dude was thorough, every evidence the Mara women ever needed was in that box. He even properly documented his own eyewitness statement too, telling everything he had seen and how he was able to take hold of those documents in a journal disguised as a dictionary.
Perhaps the ultimate gem in that pile of valuable paperworks and evidence was a piece of paper showing that Daisy's stepfather was actually still married before marrying her mom, rendering their marriage null and void.
