Chapter 2

There is one word to describe this night, and that is awkward. Right now I am sitting in Water's Night, this new Italian restaurant that opened up a couple of months ago. It's just me and my dad waiting for V and her boyfriend.

"So as I was saying, Jane" my dad said. He was talking to his assistant Jane. I took out my phone and decided to play Angry Birds. "Hey Dad. Hey Eli. I want you to meet Julian"my sister said as she walked toward or table. My dad hanged up his phone call and stood up to shake Julian's hand. I shut off my game and looked up to see a big surprise.

It's no other than the guy who I bumped into at school. And who you found sexy. Oh my God. What am I thinking. "Hey sis. We have met before" I told her. "Yeah. He's the guy I told you that bumped into me, babe" he said. God he looks so good. He is wearing a tight grey short sleeve sweater, that showed his bulging muscles and tattoos, with tight black jeans and black combat boots. I couldn't keep my eyes off him. He looked so hot. No wait I can't think this. I am straight, and he's with my sister.

They both took a seat, with Julian seating right in front of me. "So Julian, how is your family" my dad asked. "They're good. My sister had a baby last year" he replied. "Oh really. Was it Carolyn or Erica?" my dad asked. Wait how did dad know who Julian is and his family? "Erica"he replied.

I turned my head to see our waitress walking over. What the hell? Why is she staring at Julian like that? God I need to stop thinking like this.

"Hi welcome to Water's Night. My name is Isabella, and I'll be your waitress for this evening" she said. The whole time she was talking she was staring at Julian. Violette and my father were looking at the menu the whole time. Julian was looking at me. Wait what!! I turned my head away and started at the menu, blushing. Then I heard him chuckled, which made me blush even more."Hi, can we get-" my sister said.

*2 hours later*

"Hahaha" my dad laughed at whatever Julian said. They were all talking amongst themselves, while I tried to understand why I feel attracted to Julian. I am not gay. I have a girlfriend. "Hey Eliot, how was soccer" my sister asked. My dad stopped smiling as soon as she said my name. Hate you too dad. Julian looked at me with this weird stare. "U-Ug-Ugh w-well, w-we-we-we d-didn't ha -hav-have p-pr-prac-practiced t-to-today. C-co-coach c-ca-canceled t-t-today" i stuttered out still staring at my food. "Oh. Well do you known when your next game is" she asked. I shook my head no. "I didn't now you played soccer" Julian said. Damn. His voice is so deep. Crap! I have a girlfriend. I calmed myself, looked him in the eye and replied, "yeah I play". "That's cool". OMG! He smiled at me! I blushed and looked back down.

"Well I have to go now" Julian said. He gave my sister a kiss on the cheek. He stood and shook my dad's hand and gave me a wink goodbye. "Well what do you think of him daddy? Eliot?"she asked. "He's a good kid. I like him" my dad said to her with a smile. "He's cool, I guess" I said to her nonchalantly so she doesn't realize the truth.

The waitress came by with the check. My dad paid it and we got up and made our way to the exit. We got to the car, when I realized I forgot something. s**t! My phone."Oh wait, I forgot my phone". "Seriously" my dad said. He was giving me his famous resentment glare. I could sense the angry coming from him, and so did Violette. "It's fine daddy.Okay?". "We'll wait in the car Eli. You have 15 minutes" she said. "Okay thanks". I quickly ran back inside the restaurant and made my to the front. Oh great a line.

I waited to be called for what felt like hours. "Excuse me, sir? How can I help you" some lady asked. I looked up to see a lady with short brown hair.

(This is Kya-Li. It's pronounced as Ki-Ya-Li in Korean, but it's Kylie in English)

She looks around my age. "Ugh, yeah I guess so". "I am looking for my phone, I left it at the table I was sitting at. I was wondering if I could go and check to see if its there". After I asked my question, is when she started to giggle. "I'm sorry for laughing, but I don't work here. I asked how can I help you because you were staring at me" she explained. 'Oh, sorry" I said. "Its fine, my name is Kya-Li. And yours". "Its Eliot". "Cool, we are now officially best friends". She then gave me a hug and left. I turned around to see something I shouldn't have. Is that Julian with some hot chick. And why do I feel jealous and not angry. I was about to go over there when I saw my phone in his hand. Julian and the lady walked out the restaurant out the back door. So, I decided to be stupid and followed them.

I followed them both into some alleyway behind the restaurant. I creep closer, hiding behind garbage bin to listen to what they are saying.

"It's him. I know it is". That's Julian's voice. I wonder who he's talking about? "It's been years Julius. 9 years to be exact". I guess it's the lady I saw before. She sound like she has either a British or Irish accent. "I know, Mei but I know those eyes. It's Timothee, my beloved". His beloved. Say What!! "I want to believe you, but there is no proof. The only person who can tell the families the truth is the one who took him the first place". "Louisa Hailey Clark", she said. What!The!Actual!F*ck! How do they know who my mother is? Why are there saying she took someone? I need to get out of here.

I got out of my hiding spot and creep towards the door of the restaurant when I heard my name being called, "Eliot". I froze. Crap. I'm gonna die. "Oh, Hey Julian. I was just on my way to my car" I mumbled, still not turning around to face him. "We can't let him leave, even if he is your beloved. He heard too much" said the lady. "No"! He yelled at her and turned towards me. And that's when he did the most unpredictable thing ever.

He kissed me.

And I liked it.

What a cliffhanger?

What will Eliot do when he realizes he is kissing a boy, but not just any boy, but his sister's boyfriend.
