Jonathan earns his studentship at Brown Hills High school through a scholarship. He is determined to graduate from it and probably further his education to become successful and to continue his father's legacy, regardless of the financial status of his family—he and his mother, after his father's death. To him, love is a form of distraction, so he is determined not to get entangled with it because he believes that falling in love with any girl will not make him achieve his dream. However, everything changes when he meet his favorite singer, Lauren Gates. Gradually, their unstable friendship, which has ups and downs, turns into a relationship, where the both of them become entangled with each other. The time machine is the reason his mother and he become poor because his father got a loan to build it and since he can not complete it and pay the loan before his death, the loaner confiscates all their properties, leaving them with nothing. He continues from where his father stopped, and after he thinks it is perfect, he convinces Lauren to test it together. However, their hopes was shattered as the machine fails to transport them. Tragically, on the second day of their failed attempt, a devastating car accident claims her life, leaving him heartbroken and bereft. But destiny has a surprising twist in store. Awakening in a future they once dream of after some weeks of her demise, he finds himself surrounded by unfamiliar surroundings.
