Chronicle of a Cursed PrincessUpdated at Sep 16, 2025, 13:26
On an island named Bloomfield, there lived a king and his queen who were loved so much by their subjects because of how kind and generous they were. Their reign was peaceful and the land was always full of beauty and bountiful harvest. As prosperous as they were though, these monarchs weren't happy. They didn't have a child of their own and would love to be parents. They invited all sorts of witches and offered many sacrifices to dieties so they could have their children but all to no avail.
One day, their prayers got answered and the queen conceived. A day after the princess' birth, a strange witch from a foreign land gave a prophecy that the princess would be the death of the kingdom and also their saviour.
The parents didn't want anything dampen their joy so they ignored the prophecy. Even when strange things happened around the princess and reminding them of the ignored prophecy, they still chose not to think about it. Many years later, on the princess' eighteenth birthday and formal introduction to her betrothed, everyone on the island except the princess suddenly got frozen and she had to find a way to rescue her people.
She had to travel to the forest of the deities to find a solution to what happened and though alone, she wasn't afraid for the journey. On her way, she met a warrior who made a deal with her to accompany her but in return she must give him her most prized treasure at the end of the journey. She agreed, willing to do anything to save her kingdom.
On getting to the land of the gods, she was told that she would have to sacrifice the one she loved the most to save the kingdom. Realizing that she would have to sacrifice the warrior who she had fallen in love with during their journey, she became confused, wondering what she had to do.
She wondered if she would be able to sacrifice the warrior and pretend like nothing happened when she gets home or forget about her mission to rescue her people and keep on loving the warrior without feeling guilty all through her life for abandoning her family.
The god gave her two days to decide but she knew she would never find the right answer even if she was given two years to think about it.
