The Dove of San Isidro
Updated at Aug 25, 2026, 19:18
In the quiet hamlet of San Isidro del Valle, Soledad Ríos is known as “Paloma” the dove. Kind, beautiful, and hardworking, she has done nothing to earn the hatred that follows her. But beauty can attract more than admiration. It can awaken envy in those who feel they have been left behind. Refugio, Dolores, and Consuelo have spent years mocking Soledad, jealous of the attention she receives and determined to make sure she never rises above them. When Don Álvaro Fuentes announces a grand baile at his hacienda, where his son Rodrigo is expected to choose a bride, Soledad’s presence becomes more threatening to the three girls than ever. Pretending to have changed, they win Soledad’s trust and offer to accompany her to the dance. But their kindness is only a disguise for a cruel plan. Led away from the village through a lonely barranca, Soledad soon discovers that the girls she trusted have no intention of letting her reach the celebration. What happens next will leave the entire hamlet searching for answers and force a hidden truth into the light. Will Soledad survive the jealousy that has followed her, and will the dove finally find the love and happiness she deserves? Sometimes envy doesn't arrive looking like hatred. Sometimes, it smiles, brings gifts, and waits until you stop looking for its teeth.
